00:00The winner of Project Runway will receive a fashion spread in Marie-Claire magazine,
00:06a Paris vacation courtesy of Avian,
00:08and $100,000 from L'Oreal Paris to start their own life.
00:24Poor boys.
00:26Poor boys.
00:26Poor boys.
00:30So Louise is gone.
00:31It's just sad to see someone who's so talented leave.
00:35You know, we've reached that point, and it's just going to be sad from now on,
00:38and people aren't going home for lack of talent, that's for sure.
00:41I came to America with nothing.
00:43Now I have everything.
00:45I don't want to be in a position where I'm older, and I'm like,
00:48why didn't I ever try something, you know?
00:50I'm like, if I lose everything, at least I have my health.
00:53I will start again.
00:54Yeah.
00:54I think the rest of the group isn't too happy about me winning two challenges at this point,
01:03because a lot of them haven't won any, or been in the top for that matter.
01:08They're all smiling to my face.
01:10I don't know what happens when I turn around.
01:12I probably don't want to know, actually.
01:16Irina seems to have this more sophisticated taste that's been appealing to the judges.
01:22I think that winning a few challenges and not really being in the bottom has boosted her confidence up,
01:27and she almost feels like she's better than a lot of us.
01:30Let's go.
01:30After the last challenge, it's really very, very important for me to pick myself back up.
01:44I really have to be extra creative and extra particular with this,
01:48because I can't be in the bottom again.
01:50If I'm in the bottom again, I'm at risk.
01:57Hello.
01:58Hi.
01:59Well, I think it's time to hear about your next challenge.
02:02And I have a little surprise for you.
02:05New models.
02:08All right, let's bring them out.
02:14Oh, no.
02:17I've been dreading a wedding challenge this whole competition,
02:26and the ladies are so out there in their looks.
02:30I don't even know, like, what to expect at this point.
02:34As you can see, these women are in their wedding dresses,
02:37but they're not preparing to walk down the aisle.
02:40In fact, they already have.
02:43All of these women are recently divorced
02:45and want to turn these wedding dresses into hip, cool outfits
02:49that they can wear in the next chapter of their lives.
02:53So it's going to be your job to make that happen.
02:55First, let's meet them.
03:00Hi, I'm Leah, and I've been divorced for three months.
03:04Congratulations.
03:06Hi, I'm Beverly, and I filed a petition almost eight months ago.
03:10Hi, I'm Charlie, and I've been free for six months.
03:13Hi, I'm Annie, and I've been divorced for 16 years.
03:17Marilyn, and I've been divorced one year.
03:21Hi, I'm Alyssa, and I've been in the process for three months.
03:24Hi, I'm Lisa, and I've been divorced for two months.
03:26I'm Stephanie, and I got divorced 14 years ago.
03:29Hi, I'm Robin, and I've been divorced three months.
03:32Everything goes through your mind
03:33when you are, like, watching these ladies,
03:35and if you are lucky enough to be picked at the beginning,
03:38you might have more fabric to work with.
03:40Irina, you won the last challenge,
03:43so you get to choose your model first.
03:48I think I'll choose Robin.
03:52Get your lace.
03:54That's right.
03:56Okay, now, when I draw your name,
03:58you can choose your model.
04:01Epperson.
04:02I would like to go with Melissa.
04:05Thanks.
04:05Okay.
04:07Logan.
04:07I would love to work with Leah on this project.
04:13Ooh, ooh, there was a lot hiding there in the back.
04:16You can make four dresses out of that.
04:19Nicolas.
04:20I'm going to go with Stephanie.
04:24Carol Hannah.
04:25I'm going to choose Lisa.
04:27Oh, thank you.
04:30Christopher.
04:31I would love to work with Beverly.
04:33I would like to work with Annie.
04:40Althea.
04:41Both of you ladies have awesome attitudes
04:43that I think make up for your lack of yarn.
04:50Marilyn, you have the applique,
04:52which I've got to go with.
04:53So, Sharon, this is your wedding dress.
05:00I have to go with the girl
05:01with, like, the least yardage
05:03and the most simple dress
05:05with no applique, no beating.
05:06I mean, nothing.
05:07I've got nothing to work with.
05:09Good luck,
05:10and I'll see you on the runway.
05:12Bye.
05:12Bye.
05:13Bye.
05:14Bye.
05:14Bye.
05:14Bye.
05:14Bye.
05:16Bye.
05:16Bye.
05:16Bye.
05:17Bye.
05:18Bye.
05:18Bye.
05:19Bye.
05:19Bye.
05:19Bye.
05:20Bye.
05:20Bye.
05:20Bye.
05:20Bye.
05:21Bye.
05:21Bye.
05:21Bye.
05:22Bye.
05:22Bye.
05:22Bye.
05:23Bye.
05:26I ended up picking Robin,
05:27who had the biggest dress possible.
05:31There was, like, about five tons of acrylic.
05:34You know, it's acrylic lace
05:36and acrylic lining and acetate.
05:38So, um, it should be fun and crunchy cutting it.
05:42It's not a lot of dress.
05:43It's not a lot of dress.
05:46It's probably, like, two yards total.
05:49I realize it's 100% polyester,
05:51which means I won't even be able to diet.
05:53And if I do diet, it's not going to look good.
05:55Designers, while you're still sketching,
05:57I wanted to give you a nice announcement.
06:00The winner of this challenge will have immunity.
06:03It is the last immunity for the duration of the challenges.
06:06And you have until midnight tonight to complete your look.
06:11It's a one-day challenge.
06:13And I am standing in your divorcees right now.
06:15Wow, that's great.
06:16Okay.
06:18Look at you without this dress.
06:19Oh, whoa.
06:25I need to represent myself as a designer
06:28and, plus, meet the expectations of any.
06:33Can we take it and just, like, totally wreck it,
06:35make it, like, more punk rock or...
06:37You know what I mean?
06:39I want something fabulous.
06:40Like, I'm a performer, something super-fly, funky.
06:44Okay.
06:45And, like, I like to shimmy.
06:46I don't want anything that's going to be real full
06:48that comes way out.
06:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:49I want to kind of keep it, you know,
06:50streamlined and within here.
06:51Anything to show my...
06:54Show you, you.
06:54Show my me, show my figure.
06:56I want to use only cruelty-free fabric.
06:58So, no wool.
06:59No snow.
07:00Okay, no wool, no leather, no fur, obviously.
07:02Obviously, no fur.
07:03No animals have to suffer, yay.
07:05Can we do feathers?
07:07You want feathers?
07:08Like a headdress?
07:09I'm trying to be polite,
07:10and I'm trying to give Charlie what she, you know, wants,
07:13but at the same time, there's no way
07:16I can't give her what she wants.
07:18I'm thinking Cher half-breed.
07:20First of all, because I don't want to get kicked off.
07:23And second of all, I don't want to make a Cher costume.
07:25And third, I can't make a Cher costume
07:27with a yard and a half of white fabric that I can't dye.
07:31It's impossible.
07:33Okay, designers, you'll have a budget of $25.
07:45You can get up to two yards of fabric,
07:48and then anything else you need for this challenge.
07:50You have 15 minutes to shop.
07:5215 minutes starts right now.
07:56Go, go, go.
07:56How much are these a piece?
08:04A dollar?
08:04Thank God.
08:06I need a cutter.
08:06Could someone get fabric, please?
08:09With these challenges, you have to go along with it.
08:13You don't have time to think about who's not going to work.
08:16Get in there and get something, because it has to work.
08:19There's no excuses.
08:21We can only buy up to two yards, so this is pretty limiting.
08:24You know, they're trying to get us to use as much of the wedding dress as possible.
08:29I found this really great wool that the yard is actually super wide.
08:33So in a yard and a half, I can make a pair of pants out of it.
08:37Oh my gosh, she's going to look like a big peacock.
08:39I can't believe this.
08:41She really wants a Cher dress with a headdress and like peacock feathers everywhere.
08:49I just grabbed whatever I could, and I figured I can make it work later.
08:54Anybody?
08:57Time's up, everybody.
08:58She's done.
08:59I'm done.
08:59Okay.
09:00Thank you, Mood.
09:01Thank you, Mood.
09:10I make most of my living making wedding dresses, so to chop one up is kind of like running into
09:24a church and swearing at the top of your lungs.
09:28Fly away, my child.
09:35That's so funny.
09:37Oh my gosh.
09:38I think the whole concept of, you know, turning your old wedding gown into something new so you
09:45could move forward in life is sort of empowering.
09:50That's awesome.
09:53Goodbye, wedding dress.
09:54I was married before I got the worst.
10:01When I came into this challenge, I knew that I needed to be mentally strong.
10:07I needed to focus on what I'm here to do.
10:10I have children.
10:11I know that they're fine.
10:13But on the other hand, it's so hard to be so disconnected for your normal daily life.
10:20Today is Saturday, so hopefully I will have opportunity to talk to them because I have
10:28not spoken to them since I came here.
10:30Hey, Garrett.
10:39It's me.
10:40I just miss you guys so much.
10:43And I mean, I know I'm crying, but everything is okay.
10:46I'm okay.
10:48I'm having a great time.
10:49I just thought of the kids and I miss you.
10:53So can you just tell them I love them and I will call them later.
10:59Okay, bye.
11:00Oh my gosh.
11:05I didn't know I would be so emotional about this.
11:08It's kind of embarrassing.
11:10Sometimes our emotions get triggered, you know, by things that we don't consciously think about.
11:17And maybe in this challenge, I got a little bit triggered by all this.
11:23So I don't know.
11:33I'm planning to use as least amount of that dress as possible.
11:37You know, you won't even know that it has anything to do with a wedding dress.
11:40I just want her to just feel proud to wear a new look.
11:45So awful.
11:48Looks like a bad Vegas outfit.
11:51I'm just really stuck.
11:52And it stinks because it's hard to show design when you don't have any fabric.
11:59At this point, I'm just, I just got to find a way out of this.
12:07Coming up on Project Runway.
12:09This worries me.
12:10I think they look like you just put them on.
12:13Right now, I'm feeling really stuck and helpless.
12:20This is the last challenge that anyone could get immunity.
12:33So everybody seems like they're going nuts.
12:39I mean, a lot of people are dying just because it's white.
12:41You know, that there's only so much you could do with white.
12:47So how is everyone?
12:48Hey, Tim.
12:49Great.
12:50Really?
12:52Stress.
12:53Doesn't sound convincing.
12:54That sounds right.
12:55Stressed.
12:55Stressed.
12:56Yeah.
12:57I'm going to make some rounds, okay?
12:59Yeah, that's fine.
12:59Christopher.
13:00Tim.
13:01I'm worried.
13:02I know, I know, and I knew you'd say that right away.
13:05This is not the end.
13:06What is this?
13:07I wanted to do a black and white, kind of a sophisticated little dress for her to go out to
13:12functions in and be able to meet new people.
13:14Okay, so this is really infrastructure.
13:16Yeah, no, that's it.
13:17It's not supposed to be seen.
13:18It finishes by kind of bubbling under there.
13:21And then with that lace, I did a belt.
13:24And, you know, this kind of comes away from the body a little bit.
13:27She wanted a shorter skirt.
13:29Really?
13:29And I said, you're going to meet the wrong kind of people.
13:32Yeah, that's exactly right.
13:33Okay, Christopher, thank you.
13:34All right, thank you, I appreciate it.
13:36Hi, Raina.
13:37Hi, Tim.
13:37How have you got this gorgeous color?
13:39Oh, gosh, I don't know.
13:40I left it in there for a long, long time.
13:43It's beautiful.
13:44This is 100% acetate.
13:46Oh, God.
13:47100%, not even 99.
13:49So, um...
13:50Don't get a match near it.
13:51It's sort of going to be like a slight sort of short little kimono.
13:55I think what you're doing is very exciting.
13:57Keep going.
13:58Thank you, Tim.
13:58My idea was to use as less fabric as possible from the wedding dress.
14:04As little as possible?
14:05As little as possible.
14:06Here's my issue.
14:08The core of this look has to be from the wedding dress.
14:11Right.
14:11I mean, this looks very lab coat-y to me.
14:14I had it all pinned up because I was going to do a short jacket.
14:16Try it.
14:17See what happens.
14:18Right.
14:19Anyway, Epperson, you have a lot of decisions to make.
14:21Right.
14:22And a lot of work to do.
14:23Yes.
14:24Okay.
14:26What's the look?
14:28Kind of a play on a tuxedo style feel.
14:31I just...
14:32This worries me.
14:33I just think there's way too much textile.
14:35I mean, the dominant textile doesn't come from the dress.
14:39She said to me specifically that she doesn't like dresses.
14:42She doesn't want to show her legs.
14:44Okay.
14:45Logan, just figure this out.
14:46That's the plan.
14:47All right.
14:49See what happens.
14:50Make it work.
14:51Thanks, Tim.
14:52Hello, Tim.
14:52How are you?
14:53So you managed to dye it.
14:55Yes.
14:56I dyed it and I'm kind of like feathering the edges.
15:00It's beautiful.
15:01Thank you very much.
15:02The judges have said that there are times when you haven't pushed the look far enough.
15:07So I want you to take it as far as you can.
15:10And I just want you to keep saying to yourself, I'm going to win.
15:13I'm going to win this.
15:14Okay?
15:15Okay.
15:15Thank you, Jordana.
15:16Thank you, Tim.
15:17Thank you, Tim.
15:19So, Shirin.
15:20Hi, Tim.
15:21How are you doing?
15:23I've been better.
15:24Well, you have a very effervescent divorcee.
15:27You have Charlie, don't you?
15:29She's not shy and retiring.
15:32So what are you doing for her?
15:33Um, she wanted a really, really short, strapless, like, peacock feathered tail skirt.
15:42What?
15:43With a headdress a la Cher.
15:46And, um, I don't know why this keeps happening to me.
15:49But you cannot lose who you are as a designer in this.
15:53Yeah.
15:53So far, I'm trying to keep it more me right now.
15:56You have to.
15:57And just something I can convince her.
15:58Right?
15:58Look, also, she's not at risk of going home.
16:01Yeah.
16:01And those of you in this room are.
16:04So she has to respect that.
16:06Yeah.
16:06It just stinks.
16:07What do you think of the feathers?
16:10Do you think it's overkill?
16:12I mean, I think they look like you just put them on.
16:15Which I did.
16:16They don't look integrated into the dress.
16:18And what about that trim you bought?
16:25I'm such a strong person.
16:26And, like, if something is big enough to, like, actually get me to the point where I'm crying next to Tim Gunn, it's bad.
16:37You know what I think you should do?
16:39I think you should clear this tabletop off.
16:41Take each of these textiles out and just play like it's a big, giant paper doll.
16:48Just play with the color blocking and the actual dress.
16:51The trim.
16:51Yeah.
16:52Okay.
16:52You need to be liberated from this.
16:54Okay?
16:55All right.
16:57All right, designers.
16:58Remember the parameters of this challenge.
17:00That wedding dress has to be at the core of the whole look.
17:03Okay?
17:05All right.
17:07Right now, I'm feeling really, really just stuck and helpless.
17:12But, you know, I'll get through this.
17:14And, as Tim would say, I will make it work.
17:18I misunderstood the assignment.
17:20The assignment was to work with the dress.
17:22So I'm changing it.
17:24If you started over, what would you do?
17:27Just a dress.
17:29Logan is freaking out.
17:30He's got a lot of different pieces and they're all kind of complicated.
17:34And just getting that much work done at once is kind of a hurdle.
17:39Don't start over.
17:40It's too late.
17:43I'm not going to go home for this.
17:44I refuse to go home for this.
17:49I just need to find a way to change this fabric.
17:51And make it look like something else other than a wedding dress.
17:55And the only thing I could think of to do is use thread.
17:58All right, designers, I am sending in your divorcees for a fitting.
18:11All right?
18:12Everybody make it work.
18:21How are you?
18:22How did it go?
18:23It's coming.
18:24It's coming.
18:24It's coming.
18:25I made a sketch for her and I pictured she's starting over and she's this powerful, beautiful
18:31woman that's going to go for what she wants and what she deserves now.
18:35I think this is just so beautiful, you know?
18:39Right.
18:39I love, I love just the way it flows.
18:42I love the feel of it.
18:43I can't believe he did all this today.
18:45Yeah.
18:46It's beautiful.
18:47I can't wait to see that on.
18:48I love the color.
18:49You're going to look gorgeous.
18:50I mean, it's like the colors I'm already wearing.
18:53Yeah.
18:53Woo!
18:55Sorry, it's in.
18:56I still got my pants.
18:59The constructing this dress has a significance to it because it's like you are taking it apart,
19:06that life that you have been living and constructing something new.
19:11I still have an attitude right now.
19:13What has she been doing all day?
19:15At this point, I'm not really concerned about making a dress that's going to help her start her
19:21new life.
19:21At this point, I'm concerned about making a dress that isn't going to get me kicked off.
19:29Coming up on Project Runway.
19:31It's going to be a very interesting runway day.
19:33Well done.
19:34The whole look is disastrous.
19:35I'm just frantic trying to finish everything.
19:38If I end up going home, oh my gosh, at least I know that I didn't give up.
19:42It was tough for me when I couldn't reach my family.
20:00But I feel focused enough right now.
20:02I'm fine.
20:05I really feel confident about my design.
20:07I'm not sure if my model really gets it.
20:09But this is the piece that's going on the runway and I stand behind it.
20:13You guys ready for the runway?
20:15Uh, this is going to be the best runway ever.
20:18The best of the worst?
20:19The best of the worst.
20:22The worst.
20:23Ready?
20:25Off you go.
20:25It's IDM.
20:26Here we come.
20:27We got a lot of work to do.
20:38This morning, I have so much work to finish.
20:41I don't even know at this point.
20:42I'm basically just trying to finish what I've started so I can send a look down the runway.
20:47Oh my gosh.
20:53I'm in a mad rush to get these stitches on this dress because that's the only thing that's going
20:58to make my dress not look like a wedding dress that I just cut.
21:05I'm not completely confident about this outfit.
21:07I keep fluffing and adding, oh, maybe I should do this and maybe I should do that.
21:11I'm just trying to make it more of what the assignment was about.
21:22Good morning, everybody.
21:23Good morning, Tim.
21:24I'm about to send in your divorcees.
21:27You will have two hours to send them to the Garnier hair studio in the L'Oreal Paris makeup room.
21:32Use the Macy's accessory wall thoughtfully, everyone.
21:35Thanks, everybody.
21:36I'll see you a little later.
21:37Bring it on.
21:41When Melissa sees the garment, she's like, wow, you know me.
21:46You know my style.
21:47I love that.
21:48So if she's excited, that made me excited and we just kept going.
21:50You're doing great.
21:51Okay.
21:52It's so pretty.
21:54Really?
21:55I totally love it.
21:56Oh, honey.
21:57Do a good job.
21:59It is unbelievable.
22:00I mean, it looks like it would cost more than my wedding gown if she was an expensive one.
22:05I mean, look at this fit.
22:06Okay.
22:07You will be wearing this dress out.
22:09Oh, you know I will.
22:11So did you work right up until midnight?
22:13Oh, yeah.
22:14I did whatever I possibly could to this dress in the time that I had.
22:20Are you going to be able to tighten the straps in me or no?
22:22Does it make me look too much like a linebacker?
22:25And so the hem will be shorter?
22:27What?
22:28Oh, yeah.
22:28The hem will be shorter?
22:30I don't think so.
22:31I just don't want to look like a fat grandmother, which I'm not comfortable.
22:39You're not.
22:39Well, trust me.
22:40I know I won't.
22:40I don't make fat grandma clothes.
22:42If I go home on this piece, at least I know that this spoke to my design aesthetic.
22:50Oh, it's totally different.
22:52So cute.
22:54You are the hotness.
22:55This is the hot, new, sophisticated you.
22:58This outfit is so you.
23:00It is.
23:01Let's talk about you.
23:02Now that I just put my outfit on Stephanie, it is one of the most hideous things I've ever made.
23:07I am so not proud of it.
23:09It's not me, but it's what she wanted.
23:12You're fabulous, Nicholas.
23:13I love you.
23:14I want to have your child.
23:17Not really.
23:18It's just an expression.
23:21Do you think you're going to finish everything?
23:24We'll be going down the runway regardless.
23:31Accentuate her eyebrows because she has beautiful eyebrows.
23:33Right.
23:34We want her to look sophisticated.
23:44She's definitely wearing the pantsuit.
23:45Yeah.
23:50So who taught you how to walk?
23:51Tanisha.
23:52The models taught her runway walks to do and how to turn and how to pose.
23:57I saw someone on TV saying the way that you act like a runway model is look like you're better
24:01than everyone else and you're pissed off.
24:03Thankfully, my model showed Stephanie how to walk.
24:06It's going to be a very interesting runway day.
24:10Designers, in 10 minutes, you and your divorcees and I are going to the runway.
24:1610 minutes.
24:23Why is it not going up?
24:24I don't know.
24:25If I end up going home, I'm not going to be happy about it, but at least I know that I didn't give up.
24:31It looks great on her.
24:32The other ex-brides were saying how beautiful she looked and they think she's going to win.
24:37And I'm like, we'll see.
24:38Don't do cartwheels yet.
24:41At this point, I'm just like frantic trying to finish everything.
24:45The whole look is just really kind of disastrous to me.
24:49And she actually loves the look.
24:51They're going to win.
24:52I mean, God, look at all the decals.
24:53Thank you for having some faith.
24:56Logan's outfit looks pretty crazy.
24:59Those pants are just awful.
25:01They just look so bad.
25:04Designers and divorcees, we are going to the runway.
25:09Logan.
25:10By listening to my client, I basically have gotten lost as a designer in this challenge.
25:17I'm just hoping I get through this one.
25:19Coming up on Project Runway.
25:21I'm speechless.
25:22I don't know what to say.
25:23This to me is a tragedy.
25:25Unbelievable.
25:26Welcome to the runway.
25:37As you know, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day, you're out.
25:42There are nine of you here, and after tonight, there will be eight.
25:48This week, you are asked to convert wedding dresses into fashionable post-divorce looks.
25:54And I really look forward to seeing what you've done.
25:57All right, let's meet the judges.
25:59First, we have top American designer, Michael Kors.
26:02Hey, guys.
26:03Hi, guys.
26:04Senior fashion editor for Mary Claire Magazine, Zanna Roberts.
26:11Member of the board of directors of Halston, Tamara Mellon.
26:16Welcome.
26:17We will score your designs as they come down the runway.
26:19One of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be out.
26:25Let's start the show.
26:32The dress turned out really great.
26:34Robin was glowing.
26:35The dress was shimmering.
26:37She looked like Cinderella.
26:39I know that I've nailed it.
26:41Seeing my dress on the runway, it's not exactly what I would have wanted.
26:49But at least this dress has a hint of me in it.
26:52I'm really happy there aren't peacock feathers coming out of her butt,
26:54because that's pretty much what she wanted.
26:59Aaliyah is definitely confident.
27:01I'm happy to see her feeling good.
27:02But at the same time, I'm analyzing everything that I did.
27:05And I just want to put my head in a hole in the crown and hide from this one.
27:13I feel really great when Lisa comes down the runway.
27:17This is such a hot little dress.
27:19She wanted something strapless.
27:20She wanted something short to show off her legs.
27:22I'm happy, and I think she is too.
27:29Seeing my dress on the runway made me feel good.
27:32Marilyn, she's skipping down the runway in it.
27:35It's girly a little bit, and she's unique in a blue dress.
27:44I think what I created was a hideous thing,
27:47but you can't wake up every day and do gorgeous gowns and cocktail dresses.
27:51And it might not be my favorite outfit in the world that I've made,
27:54but if it makes her happy, I'm happy for her.
27:56I love my garment coming down the runway.
28:04The color is beautiful, and it looks very comfortable in it.
28:08The whole look is great, so I really like it.
28:16This is probably the most fun runway ever.
28:20I really like my piece, so I hope it's in the top.
28:22I innovatively used the materials, and this really does speak to who I am as a designer.
28:33After changing my idea from my original and going towards another direction,
28:38I'm pleased with how my design came out.
28:41So I felt really good, and I felt confident.
28:43If I call your name, please step forward.
28:51Carol Hanna.
28:54Nicholas.
28:58Althea.
29:01If I have called your name, congratulations.
29:04Your scores have qualified you to move on to the next challenge.
29:07You can leave the runway.
29:08The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
29:16One of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be out.
29:23Let's bring out your models.
29:32All right, Jordana, tell us about your look.
29:34I wanted to create something that represents me, but I also wanted her to feel herself.
29:40I used only the lining of the dress.
29:43This dress is edgy and chic, but it also does great things for her body.
29:48Yeah.
29:49This very, very flattering shaped dress.
29:51I love the frame.
29:53I love the slight asymmetrical neckline.
29:56Annie, what do you think?
29:57I love it.
29:58She really listened to what I was trying to get across to her.
30:02When she saw the dress, she just lit up, and that to me was the best gift ever.
30:07You did a good job this time.
30:09Very good.
30:09Thank you very much.
30:11All right, Christopher, tell us about your look.
30:13Beverly is an actress, and she's going to industry parties, she's going to premieres,
30:18and I wanted to give her something chic and sophisticated that she could network in.
30:22And so I took the organza, and I dyed it, and I created this garment for her.
30:28I think it was clever what you did with the organza.
30:31I think it's a very pretty metallic, but there's too much volume, too much crumple.
30:37You're an actress, you want to get noticed, but you don't want to be on the worst dress list.
30:42Do not go to an industry fund.
30:45Don't.
30:45I mean, she just looks like tinfoil.
30:47That's volume on top, volume on bottom, and then cinched in the middle.
30:51It's like a metallic hefty bag, just cinched.
30:53Okay.
30:54I had space bubble dress written down.
30:56Can we have a look from the back, please?
30:59It's stretch underneath.
31:00It is a stretch.
31:02It's a stretch.
31:04It's a stretch, all right.
31:05Everson, tell us about your look.
31:09My whole idea was really to just get rid of the whole other dress altogether.
31:14And then I realized that the assignment was to actually work with the dress.
31:18I thought I made myself very clear when I gave you guys a challenge.
31:21Work with the wedding dress.
31:23That was the challenge.
31:25What I would like to know from Melissa is what you've asked for.
31:29I like something kind of flowy and something fitted in the waist.
31:34So you did not specifically ask for Oktoberfest?
31:39When this came out, I'm like, oh my God, she's going to Germany to the Oktoberfest.
31:44Heidi went with Oktoberfest.
31:45I'm going with Pirate's Wench.
31:47This looks like something I would pull out of my daughter's dressing up box.
31:51When we're dressing real women, you want to make them look longer, leaner, sexier.
31:56And I think the dress just doesn't do that for her at all.
31:58I would also think about the first date you have.
32:01He's waiting at the bar and you come in in this dress.
32:03He's leaving.
32:05I think he might.
32:08Sharon, tell us about your look.
32:09Charlie wanted a Cher half-breed with the front, the back panel, with the headdress and the embellishment.
32:16I'm sorry I can't do this for you.
32:19So I decided to stitch the fabric so it wouldn't just be a white, it would be more of a pattern.
32:25And then I put the peacock feathers in her hair.
32:27Charlie, do you like the dress?
32:30It's a little safe for me, but it's a beautiful dress.
32:34I love this dress on her.
32:36It really suits your body.
32:38The length, the geometric lines are right on trend.
32:42I think it's fabulous.
32:43It might shorten it.
32:44Yeah, she wanted it in like hair.
32:46I was like, I'll get it off for you later.
32:50When I heard that she wants to be Cher in a half-breed moment.
32:54And I love a girl who loves a half-breed moment, let me tell you.
32:56You were smart enough to say to her, we are not going to do womp-pom, we're not going there.
33:01I think it's a very good idea that you created this pattern.
33:05I can see you walking off the runway and just going out in that tonight, which is very important.
33:10Okay, Logan, tell us about your look.
33:12Leah didn't want a dress and she didn't want a skirt.
33:15So my direction went to trousers and vest to try to dress it up a little bit.
33:21I have an Oktoberfest moment yet again.
33:25Where are the beer steins?
33:27I mean, I'm speechless. I don't know what to say.
33:31Leah, do you like your outfit?
33:33Yes.
33:33Where would you wear it to?
33:36For your first date?
33:37Maybe second.
33:39Smart girl.
33:41Smart girl.
33:42I just wish it had been executed better.
33:44It's very amateur.
33:46Did you notice the cup?
33:47It looks like she was in the middle of her fitting and the phone rang and she had to run out.
33:52And the top is so unflattering.
33:55That neckline is just making her look kind of like an opera singer.
33:59It's a difficult challenge because you have to please your client,
34:02yet you also have to try and coax her into something that she's going to look good in.
34:07This to me is a tragedy.
34:10Irina, will you just tell us what is the actual wedding dress?
34:15The only new material is actually this satin, which I use for the lining.
34:20The lace is all from the dress.
34:21I am very impressed.
34:23You did a really clever makeover.
34:25You shed a skin, you know, and you've got this new one.
34:27It's brilliant.
34:29The dress looks expensive.
34:31The color is incredibly chic and it's age appropriate.
34:35And you walked out and you own it.
34:36I mean, you own it.
34:38You know, and that's the greatest test here.
34:39Unbelievable.
34:43You've done a fantastic job.
34:45Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
34:47We're going to have a little chat and then we'll call you back.
34:49You can leave the runway.
34:57Let's talk about the designers that we did like.
35:00Shirin.
35:01You know, she thought about her client and she put her in something that she looked good in.
35:05From where it started off was the Cher hybrid.
35:08And she ended up looking really cute and really chic.
35:10Which is clever of her that she said,
35:12no, I'm the designer and this is not going to go over well.
35:15And the stitching that she created that pattern with
35:18really gave it a little bit of a twist.
35:22Jordana.
35:23She managed to create a really elegant dress that still had some edge.
35:28That was versatile as well because she can, you know,
35:30rock it up with the boots and then she could have taken it to an evening event with some pumps.
35:34It's also very nice to see Jordana not to be so safe.
35:38This time she pushed the envelope and her client loved it.
35:43I love what Irina did.
35:45She showed that you can actually make a beautiful dress out of lace.
35:48Everything from top to toe, hair, makeup, accessories worked perfectly.
35:52It was sexy but age appropriate.
35:55It looked totally sleek and professional.
35:59Okay, let's talk about the ones that we didn't like.
36:01First off, I don't even know if Epperson understood what this challenge was ultimately about.
36:06I don't think we did.
36:06I don't think we missed it.
36:07He chose masses of fabric.
36:09It swallowed her and just was disproportionate.
36:11Women should not look like they're going to something, a themed party.
36:14When there isn't a theme.
36:18Logan.
36:19A lot went wrong over here as well.
36:21Let's be honest, would that trouser be in any woman's closet?
36:24No.
36:24I would never put that on and feel attractive.
36:27And then the Oktoberfest vest, which that ruffling made her look so matronly.
36:33Yeah, I also really didn't see anything of Logan in here.
36:35She said, here's what I want.
36:37And he was like, all right, it's not what I like, but I'll do it.
36:41Christopher.
36:43Worst dress list?
36:44Oh, worst dressed.
36:45It doesn't even look like a dress.
36:46It's just too much.
36:47Bad for it.
36:48Yeah.
36:48Well, it was a crutch overload.
36:50Short for her.
36:51This really did look like a metallic garbage bag tied in the middle.
36:56So we've made our decision?
36:59Okay, let's bring them back out.
37:09The six of you represent the best and the worst.
37:14One of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out.
37:20Shirin.
37:27One of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out.
37:34Shirin.
37:36You're in.
37:36You can leave the runway.
37:45Jordana.
37:47Congratulations.
37:48You are the winner of this challenge.
37:50Thank you so much.
37:52It means a lot to me.
37:53You rock this transformation.
37:55The new dress is chic and edgy at the same time.
37:59And Annie looked really gorgeous.
38:01You also have immunity for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.
38:04You can leave the runway.
38:05Thank you so much.
38:07Finally, I'm not going to be known only as a seamstress.
38:14I'm so happy.
38:16I wanted to show people that, yeah, I have designing skills and I'm very creative.
38:22You deserve it so much.
38:27Irina, very good job.
38:29You can leave the runway.
38:31Christopher.
38:44You're in.
38:45You can leave the runway.
38:54Logan.
38:56Epperson.
38:58One of you will be out.
38:59You both gave us Oktoberfest moments.
39:03That is not a good thing.
39:05You both lost yourselves as designers in this challenge.
39:09Logan.
39:10You accomplished the rare feat of leaving me completely speechless.
39:14Your pants were so ill-fitting.
39:16The vest was too busy.
39:18And both pieces were poorly made.
39:21Epperson.
39:23You clearly did not get this challenge.
39:25The point wasn't to just keep the most amount of wedding dress.
39:28It was to transform it into something fabulous.
39:32And this dress was not.
39:41Logan.
39:44You're in.
39:45You can leave the runway.
40:02That means Epperson you are out.
40:09Thank you so much.
40:10Really for this opportunity.
40:12Thank you guys.
40:17Hey.
40:19No.
40:19No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no sad stuff.
40:21I totally feel ok about it.
40:23I still feel like I won.
40:24You know, I won for me.
40:26I really learned a lot.
40:27And I'm really grateful to be with such a group of people.
40:30I have to send you to the work room to clean up your space.
40:32Oh, I cleaned it up already.
40:33Yeah.
40:34I really learned that I limit myself.
40:37If you're pushed, you can go further.
40:39And I will be that person that will push me from this point.
40:42And I will be that person that will push me from this point.
40:46Okay.
40:46Oh.
40:47Oh, my God.
40:47And I will show you.
40:48Oh, my God.
40:48I love you.
40:48Won't be that person that will be okay with this position to be.
40:49Yeah.
40:50Oh, no.
40:51It's going to be through that.
40:52Oh, my God.
40:53Bye.
40:54Bye.
40:54Bye.
40:55Hey.
