00:23to inspect the vehicle. Upon arrival, Anthony is said to have noticed irregularities in the
00:28situation. Moments later, a group of armed masked men appeared and began shooting as he attempted
00:34to escape in the vehicle. Anthony suffered several gunshot wounds to his body. The police and
00:39paramedics were notified and the injured man was conveyed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences
00:43Complex in Mount Hoop. Unfortunately, he died while undergoing treatment. The incident has pushed the
00:50murder toll up to 303. The comparative toll for the same period in 2024 was 513.
00:58The Diego Martin Borough Corporation has confirmed that a decomposing body was discovered on its
01:05compound on Sunday and said it is cooperating fully with police investigators. According to a release
01:12from the corporation, around 10 a.m. on October 19, a report was made by a security officer assigned to
01:18the Ken Valley Drive Westfield premises. The officer says she had been alluded by a passerby to a foul scent
01:25coming from the ray of the compound. Upon checking, she discovered a decomposing body in a drain behind
01:31one of the corporation's buildings. An ID bearing the name Lorenzo Lawrence, husband's 73, was recovered from
01:38the body, along with an envelope containing $400. Police have made a significant
01:45significant find in Movan. A high-powered weapon and narcotics were discovered during a coordinated
01:50anti-crime exercise. During the search of an abandoned apartment building, officers discovered a
01:57Mac-10 submachine gun fitted with an extended magazine containing 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

02:17The Trinidad and Tobago police service is reporting major successes following a series of nationwide
02:22anti-crime and road safety exercises conducted over the Diwali weekend. The intensive operations,
02:28which spanned all 10 police divisions, led to several arrests, firearm and drug seizures,
02:34and hundreds of traffic offenses being detected. Over the five-day period, police officers were out in
02:40full force across the country, conducting a total of 426 operations. The results were significant. Six
02:48firearms, including three rifles, were seized, along with 176 rounds of assorted ammunition. Officers also
02:55confiscated over 77 kilograms of cannabis and nearly 400 grams of cocaine. In addition to the drug and gun
03:03fines, more than 2,800 vehicles and premises were searched, and 282 road traffic exercises were carried out. During these,
03:13over 2,000 road traffic offenses were detected, while 161 persons were arrested. Among them, more than 100
03:21identified priority offenders. Police say the operations were guided by intelligence and conducted in
03:27accordance with the SOE, with special attention paid to national installations, business places, government buildings,
03:34residential areas, and Diwali celebrations.
