In our Crime Wrap tonight, the suspects wanted in the triple murder continue to evade police... meanwhile cannabis, firearms and ammo have been seized in several exercises across the country on Sunday.

00:00Homicide officers say they are actively pursuing multiple leads in the country's
00:05first triple murder for the year, which occurred in Arima on Saturday night.
00:09Ansel James, his sister Anissia James and her common-law husband Mitchell
00:15Francois were shot and killed at their La Retreat extension home in Guanapo,
00:20Arima after two gunmen stormed the house. A six-year-old boy was also shot and
00:25injured during the attack. While investigators continue to try to
00:29determine a concrete motive for the killings, none of the suspects wanted in
00:34connection with the shooting have been apprehended by police who have vowed to
00:38leave no stone unturned in their investigation to find the killers.
00:43Sources believe Francois may have been the target of the attack as a previous
00:47attempt had been made on his life. And a firearm and ammunition have been seized
00:53in police operations in Tunapuna and Sangre Grandi. On Sunday at about 7.15
00:59p.m., officers received information which led them to a bushy area of first
01:04trace Mango Road, Tunapuna. A search of the area led to the discovery of a
01:09concealed plastic bag containing one silver and brown revolver and nine
01:14rounds of ammunition. In a separate operation, the Sangre Grandi criminal
01:17investigation department conducted a search of the home of a 33-year-old man
01:23of Bonaire Road, Cunaripo, Sangre Grandi. Their officers found several rounds of
01:28ammunition and one brown 12-gauge shotgun. Also, police arrested five
01:33suspects and seized a quantity of cannabis trees and seedlings during an
01:38anti-crime exercise in the Southwestern Division yesterday. Officers seized 107
01:44seedlings and 17 mature cannabis trees at a home on Beach Road, Palo Seco. Three
01:51suspects between the ages of 24 and 43 years were held and two men ages 30 and
01:5850 were also arrested as persons of interest. Central Division officers
02:03arrested two suspects and seized a quantity of ammunition on Sunday. The
02:07operation took officers to a home at River Branch Road, Kelly Village, Kearney
02:12where they seized one extended 9-millimeter magazine loaded with 21
02:16rounds of .9-millimeter ammunition, one empty 9-millimeter magazine, three boxes
02:23containing 116 rounds of 9-millimeter ammunition, one box containing 31 rounds
02:29of 5.56 ammunition, seven AR-15 rifle disconnectors, five AR-15 hammers with
02:36springs, three AR-15 trigger mechanism with springs, six trigger pins and one
02:43AR-15 stabilizer.
