Transcript
00:00The discovery of a man's body was made at about midday on Monday just off the roadway in the heights of Guanapo.
00:07Residents of the area observed the body in a bushy area behind a home near a garden and notified the police.
00:14Police say that the deceased has yet to be positively identified.
00:19However, based on items found at the scene, they suspect it may be that of missing 35-year-old Kerry Von Adams.
00:27According to police reports, Von Adams from Red Hill, Dabody contacted his sister around 12.45am on Sunday, claiming he urgently needed $15,000.
00:39The sister, a 41-year-old woman, told officers that she found the call suspicious and attempted to contact her brother again.
00:49On doing so, an unknown male voice answered the phone and instructed her to call back when she had the money.
00:57The woman stated that she left Port of Spain where she had been liming and returned home to retrieve the cash.
01:03She then called the victim's phone again and was instructed by the unknown male to drop the money off at Kernel Street.
01:10As she was unfamiliar with the area, she drove past Kokoreet Road while staying on the phone with the man who repeatedly asked her to name the street she was passing.
01:21She reported throwing the bag containing the cash from her vehicle somewhere between Gill and Davis Avenue.
01:29Following this, she was told to collect her brother at the Orimo Boys' RC School.
01:34But upon arrival, he was not there.
01:37Subsequent calls to his phone went unanswered.
