00:12were inside the house with a relative when the intruders entered and opened fire. Babita died
00:17at the scene. Shafiq was rushed to hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries while being transported.

00:30Residents described the Vialvas as a hard-working couple. Shafiq operated a timber jack, a machine
00:36used to haul logs from forested areas, and the pair were involved in the purchase and transport
00:41of raw wood to sawmills for cutting into planks. Babita, originally from Bish, was a housewife
00:47who occasionally assisted her husband in the field. Neighbors described her as quiet and
00:53unassuming. They didn't trouble anyone, is what a neighbor told The Express.

01:06body of 63-year-old Lala was found a day after he was kidnapped from his home. Police Constable
01:12Jason Beetham and Govindra Lakram were jointly charged today and are expected to appear in court
01:17on Tuesday. Officer Beetham was based at the Shagonas police station and has about six years of service.
01:24A third suspect, who was detained in connection with Lala's murder, was released pending further inquiries.
