09:32and a widow in that town used to come to him and say
09:36render a just decision for me against my adversary
09:39for a long time the judge was unwilling but eventually he thought while it is true that
09:47i neither fear god nor respect any human being

16:14Hosanna, Hosanna in the fire.
16:25Hosanna, Hosanna in the fire.
16:44Hosanna, Hosanna in the fire.
16:59We've been celebrating the Holy Eucharist 1,993 years.
17:05Yesterday was the feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch.
17:09He was ordained by St. Peter.
17:12He was a disciple of John.
17:14He was arrested when he was 80, in the year 108.
17:22And he had to go to Rome to be sentenced.
17:27And on his way to Rome, he wrote seven letters
17:30that are very significant about the Catholic practice at that time.
17:35Right at the time of the Apostles and just afterwards.
17:38And then two years later, he was put in with the wild beasts at the Colosseum in Rome for entertainment.
17:47But he gave us some beautiful writings.
17:50Let me just give you two short quotes and you can look them up yourself.
17:54Google Ignatius of Antioch. Fascinating.
17:56Take care then to use one Eucharist, so that what you do, you do according to God.
18:04For there is one flesh, our Lord Jesus Christ.
18:07For there is one cup in union with his blood.
18:09One altar, as there is one bishop with the presbytery.
18:13What's the presbytery?
18:14I wish we'd use simpler words.
18:19Priests. Priests.
18:20One bishop with the priests. Okay.
18:24I have no taste for the food that perishes, not for the pleasures of this life.
18:28I want the bread of God, which is the flesh of Christ, who is the seed of David.
18:34And for drink I desire his blood, which is love that cannot be destroyed.
18:39Did Ignatius believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist?
18:43Absolutely.
18:45You're indeed holy, O Lord, the font of all holiness.
18:49Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your spirit upon them like they do fall,
18:54so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
18:59At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
19:03he took bread and giving thanks broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
19:08Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
19:16In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice,
19:27and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying,
19:32Take this, all of you, drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood,
19:36the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
19:38which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
19:44Do this, in memory of me.
19:53The Mystery of Faith
19:55Take us, Savior of the world,
20:07For by your cross and resurrection,
20:15You have set us free.
20:21Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
20:50we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
20:54giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and ministered to you.
20:58Humbly, we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
21:01we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
21:03Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world,
21:06and bring heart to the fullness of charity,
21:08together with Leo, our Pope,
21:10Lewis, our Bishop,
21:11and all your people.
21:13Remember also our brothers and sisters
21:14who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
21:18and all who have died in your mercy.
21:20Welcome them into the light of your face.
21:22Have mercy on us all, we pray,
21:24that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
21:26with Blessed Joseph, our spouse,
21:28with the blessed apostles,
21:30and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
21:33we may merit to be coerced to eternal life,
21:36and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
21:42Through him, and with him, and in him,
21:44O God Almighty Father,
21:45in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
21:47all glory and honor is yours forever and ever.
21:51Amen.
21:57Amen.
22:00Amen.
22:03At the Savior's command,
22:25informed by divine teaching,
22:26we dare to pray.
22:28Our Father,
22:29Lord in heaven,
22:31hallowed be thy name,
22:32thy kingdom come,
22:34thy will be done,
22:36on earth as it is in heaven.
22:38Give us this day our daily bread,
22:41and forgive us our trespasses,
22:44as we forgive those who trespass against us.
22:47And lead us not into temptation,
22:50but deliver us from evil.
22:52Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
22:53from every evil.
22:54Graciously grant peace in our days,
22:56that by the help of your mercy,
22:58we may be always free from sin
23:00and safe from all distress,
23:01as we await the blessed hope
23:03and the coming of our Savior,
23:05Jesus Christ.
23:06For the kingdom,
23:07the power,
23:08and the glory are yours,
23:10now and forever.
23:11Lord Jesus Christ,
23:12who said to your apostles,
23:13Peace I leave you,
23:14my peace I give you.
23:15Look not on our sins,
23:17but on the faith of your church,
23:19and graciously grant her peace and unity,
23:21in accordance with your will,
23:23who live and reign forever and ever.
23:26Amen.
23:26Peace of the Lord be with you always.
23:29And with your spirit.
23:31Now let us share that peace with everyone around us.
23:34Peace, Jim.
23:34Peace.

23:52have mercy on us.

24:05you take away the sins of the world,
24:11have mercy on us.
24:19Behold the Lamb of God,
24:46behold him who takes away the sins of the world,
24:48blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
24:52Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
24:56but only say the word,
24:57and my soul shall be healed.
24:59May the body and blood of Christ keep us safe for eternal life.
25:03Amen.
25:04My Jesus,
25:05I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
25:09I love you above all things,
25:10and I desire to receive you into my soul.
25:14Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
25:16come at least spiritually into my heart.
25:19I embrace you as if you were already there,
25:22and unite myself wholly to you.
25:25Never permit me to be separated from you.
25:28Amen.
25:28Bow your heads and pray.
25:34Grant, O Lord, we pray,
25:36that benefiting from participation in heavenly things,
25:40we may be helped by what you give us in this present age,
25:43and prepared for the things that are eternal.
