01:19There was a man of Zorah of the tribe of Dan called Manah.
01:26His wife was barren. She had borne no children.
01:30The angel of the Lord appeared to this woman and said to her,
01:35You are barren and have no child, but from now on take great care.
01:40Take no wine or strong drink and eat nothing unclean.
01:45For you will conceive and bear a son.
01:49No razor is to touch his head.
01:52For the boy shall be God's Nazarite from his mother's womb.

04:14who belonged to the Abhiah section of the priesthood
04:18and he had a wife, Elizabeth by name, who was a descendant of Aaron.
04:24Both were worthy in the sight of God
04:26and scrupulously observed all the commandments
04:29and observances of the Lord.
04:32But they were childless.
04:34Elizabeth was barren and they were both getting on in years.
04:39Now it was the turn of Zechariah's section to serve
04:42and he was exercising his priestly office
04:47before God
04:49when it fell to him
04:50by lot
04:51as the ritual custom was
04:53to enter the Lord's sanctuary
04:55and burn incense there.
04:58And at the hour of incense
05:00the whole congregation
05:01was outside praying.
05:05Then there appeared to him
05:07the angel of the Lord
05:08standing on the right of the altar of incense.
05:12The sight disturbed Zechariah
05:14and he was overcome with fear
05:16but the Lord said to him
