Catholic Mass Today I Daily Holy Mass I Monday October 13 2025 I English Holy Mass
Transcript
00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:19The Lord be with you, and with your spirit.
00:22Dear friends, today I am going to celebrate the votive Mass of Our Lady of Fatima,
00:27because we remember that in 1917, 13th of October, was the last time she appeared to the three shepherd children,
00:35charging them, of course, with the message of propagating the prayer of the Holy Rosary for peace in the world.
00:43And so we wish to unite ourselves to Pope Leo, who last Saturday led Holy Rosary at St. Peter's,
00:50and called us to penance, and to fasting, and the praying of the Rosary, to ask for peace for the whole world.
00:58Also today, I wish to remember our Portuguese and Timorese communities later on this evening at Holy Family Parish in Karama.
01:06They will be having Mass, I believe, and procession to honor Our Lady of Fatima so close to their hearts.
01:12Dear brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
01:18Lord Jesus, you are mighty God and Prince of Peace. Lord, have mercy.
01:25You are the Son of God and the Son of Mary. Christ, have mercy.
01:30You are Word made flesh, the splendor of the Father. Lord, have mercy.
01:36May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
01:42Let us pray.
01:43O God, who chose the mother of your Son to be our mother also,
01:50grant us that persevering in penance and prayer for the salvation of the world,
01:57we may furthermore effectively each day the reign of Christ,
02:01who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
02:09A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans.
02:15From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, who has been called to be an apostle,
02:21and specially chosen to preach the good news that God promised long ago through his prophets and in the scriptures.
02:28This news is about the Son of God, who, according to the human nature he took,
02:35was a descendant of David.
02:37It is about Jesus Christ, our Lord,
02:40who in the order of the Spirit, the Spirit of holiness that was in him,
02:44was proclaimed Son of God in all his power through his resurrection from the dead.
02:49Through him, we receive grace in our apostolic mission to preach the obedience of faith to all pagan nations in honor of his name.
03:00You are one of these nations, and by his call, belong to Jesus Christ.
03:07To you all, then, who are God's beloved in Rome, called to be saints,
03:13may God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ send grace and peace.
03:18The word of the Lord.
03:23Responsorial Psalm.
03:24The Lord has made known his salvation.
03:27The Lord has made known his salvation.
03:30Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has worked wonders.
03:34His right hand and his holy arm have brought salvation.
03:38The Lord has made known his salvation.
03:40The Lord has made known his salvation.
03:43Has shown his justice to the nations.
03:46He has remembered his truth and love.
03:48For the house of Israel.
03:50The Lord has made known his salvation.
03:53All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
03:57Shout to the Lord, all the earth.
03:59Ring out your joy.
04:01The Lord has made known his salvation.
04:03Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, if today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
04:11Alleluia.
04:14The Lord be with you.
04:16A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
04:19The crowds got even bigger and Jesus addressed them.
04:26This is a wicked generation.
04:29It is asking for a sign.
04:30The only sign it will be given is the sign of Jonah.
04:34For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.
04:42On judgment day, the queen of the south will rise up with the men of this generation and condemn them.
04:50Because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon.
04:54And there is something greater than Solomon here.
04:57On judgment day, the men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation and condemn it.
05:04Because when Jonah preached, they repented.
05:08And there is something greater than Jonah here.
05:12The Gospel of the Lord.
05:27Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you.
05:40Fruit of the earth and work of human hands, it will become for us the bread of life.
05:44The Gospel of the Lord.
06:14Pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.
06:32Look, O Lord, upon the prayers and offerings of your faithful, presented in commemoration of Blessed Mary, the Mother of God,
06:46that they may be pleasing to you and may confer on us your help and forgiveness.
06:52Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
06:55And the Lord be with you, and with your spirit lift up your hearts.
06:59We lift them up to the Lord.
07:00Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:03It is right and just.
07:05It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation to praise your mighty deeds in the exaltation of all the saints,
07:13and especially as we celebrate the memory of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
07:17to proclaim your kindness as we echo her thankful hymn of praise.
07:21For truly, even to earth's ends, you have done great things and extended your abundant mercy from age to age.
07:30When you looked on the lowliness of your handmaid, you gave us through her, the author of our salvation,
07:36your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
07:38Through him the host of angels adores your majesty and rejoices in your presence forever.
07:45May our voices, we pray, join with theirs in one chorus of exaltant praise as we acclaim,
07:52Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
07:59Hosanna in the highest.
08:01Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:04Hosanna in the highest.
08:08You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
08:14Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
08:17by sending down your Spirit upon them like the doofo,
08:20so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:26At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
08:29he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it,
08:32and gave it to his disciples, saying,
08:35Take this all of you and eat of it,
08:39for this is my body,
08:41which will be given up for you.
09:02In a similar way, when supper was ended,
09:06he took the chalice.
09:08And once more giving thanks,
09:10he gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:12Take this all of you and drink from it,
09:15for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:18the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:21which will be poured out for you and for many,
09:24for the forgiveness of sins.
09:26Do this in memory of me.
09:28The mystery of faith.
09:54Save us, Savior of the world,
09:56for by your cross and resurrection you have set us free.
10:00Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
10:04we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
10:09giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence
10:12and minister to you.
10:14Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:18we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:22Remember, Lord, your church is spread throughout the world
10:24and bring her to the fullness of charity,
10:27together with Leo, our Pope, and Charles, our Bishop, and all the clergy.
10:32Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep
10:35in the hope of the resurrection,
10:38and all who have died in your mercy.
10:40Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:43Have mercy on us all, we pray,
10:45that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
10:48with blessed Joseph, her spouse,
10:50with the blessed apostles and all the saints,
10:52who have pleased you throughout the ages,
10:55we may merit to be co-heirs to eternal life,
10:58and may praise and glorify you through your Son,
11:01Jesus Christ.
11:02Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father,
11:11in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:13all glory and honor is yours forever and ever.
11:18Amen.
11:20At the Savior's command, informed by divine teaching,
11:23we dare to say,
11:24Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil,
11:50graciously grant peace in our days,
11:52that by the help of your mercy,
11:54we may be always free from sin
11:56and safe from all distress
11:58as we await the blessed hope
12:00and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
12:06Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
12:09Peace I leave you, my peace I give you,
12:11look not on our sins,
12:13but on the faith of your church,
12:15and graciously grant her peace and unity
12:17in accordance with your will,
12:19who live and reign forever and ever.
12:22The peace of the Lord be with you always.
12:26Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
12:42Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
12:46have mercy on us.
12:48Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
12:51have mercy on us.
12:53Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
12:56grant us peace.
12:57Behold the Lamb of God,
13:16behold him who takes away the sins of the world,
13:23blessed are those cold to the supper of the Lamb,
13:26Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
13:31but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
13:35My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
13:42I love you above all things,
13:44and I desire to receive you into my soul.
13:47Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
13:50commonly, spiritually, into my heart,
13:52I embrace you as if you were already there,
13:55and unite myself wholly to you.
13:58Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:01Let us pray.
14:05Renewed by the sacrament of salvation,
14:07we humbly beseech you, Lord,
14:09that we who have honored in veneration
14:12the memory of the blessed Virgin Mary,
14:15Mother of God,
14:16may marry to experience in perpetuity,
14:19in perpetuity,
14:21the fruits of your redemption
14:22through Christ our Lord.
14:25Amen.
14:26Friends, thank you for your prayerful company today
14:28as we celebrate this Mass.
14:30We ask for God's blessings
14:32and the prayers of Mary for you and for me
14:34for the rest of the day.
14:37And maybe you and I also,
14:38if we are able,
14:40maybe we try to offer Our Lady some gift today.
14:43Maybe a flower by her statue,
14:46an extra decade of the rosary,
14:49or maybe the whole rosary itself
14:51if we haven't done it in a bit of a while.
14:53Or maybe we talk to someone about
14:55asking for her intercession.
14:58Let's not forget that Mary,
15:00close to Jesus,
15:02always wants to help us as a mother.
15:04The Lord be with you.
15:07May Almighty God bless you,
15:08the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
15:11Go and announce the Gospel of the Lord.
