Catholic Mass Today I Daily Holy Mass I Friday October 10 2025 I English Holy Mass
Transcript
00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Lord be with you.
00:20Dear friends, we gather once more for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
00:24We give thanks to God for the many gifts and blessings we have received,
00:28but also we confidently go to Him to bring Him our prayers for ourselves, for our loved ones,
00:35for those who are suffering, and those of the whole world.
00:39We pray in a special way also for our brothers and sisters experiencing poverty,
00:45because as you know, yesterday the Holy Father released His first apostolic letter called Delexite,
00:51calling us to a greater love of our poor brothers and sisters,
00:55and for the gift of Christian love, which bridges all of the barriers and gaps that might be present.
01:03So we keep them very much in our intercession today.
01:07Dear brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
01:13May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.
01:36Let us pray.
01:38Almighty, ever-living God, who in the abundance of your kindness surpassed the merits and the desires of those who entreat you,
01:46pour out your mercy upon us to pardon what conscience dreads, and to give what prayer does not dare to ask.
01:54Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you,
01:58in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
02:03A reading from the prophet Joel.
02:08Priests, put on sackcloth and lament.
02:12Ministers of the altar wail.
02:14Come, pass the night in sackcloth, you ministers of my God.
02:20For the house of our God has been deprived of oblation and libation.
02:25Order a fast.
02:27Proclaim a solemn assembly.
02:28Elders, hold together all the inhabitants of the country to the house of the Lord your God.
02:36Cry out to the Lord.
02:37Oh, what a day!
02:39For the day of the Lord is near.
02:41It comes as a devastation from Shaddai.
02:45Sound the trumpet in Zion.
02:48Give the alarm on my holy mountain.
02:50Let all the inhabitants of the country tremble.
02:53For the day of the Lord is coming.
02:56Yes, it is near.
02:59Day of darkness and gloom.
03:00Day of cloud and blackness.
03:02Like the dawn, there spreads across the mountains a vast and mighty host.
03:07Such as never been before.
03:10Such as will never be again.
03:12To the remotest ages.
03:14The Word of the Lord.
03:18Responsorial Psalm.
03:19The Lord will judge the world with justice.
03:22The Lord will judge the world with justice.
03:26I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart.
03:28I will recount all your wonders.
03:30I will rejoice in you and be glad.
03:33And sing psalms to your name, O Most High.
03:36The Lord will judge the world with justice.
03:38You have checked the nations.
03:40Destroyed the wicked.
03:41You have wiped out their name forever and never.
03:44The nations have fallen in the pit which they made.
03:47Their feet caught in the snare they laid.
03:50The Lord will judge the world with justice.
03:53But the Lord sits enthroned forever.
03:56He has set up his throne for judgment.
03:58He will judge the world with justice.
04:01He will judge the peoples with his truth.
04:04The Lord will judge the world with justice.
04:08Alleluia, alleluia.
04:09The prince of this world will now be cast out.
04:12And when I am lifted up from the earth,
04:14I will draw all to myself, says the Lord.
04:19Alleluia.
04:21The Lord be with you.
04:24A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
04:29When Jesus had cast out a devil, some of the people said,
04:33It is through Beelzebul, the prince of devils,
04:36that he cast out devils.
04:38Others asked Jesus as a test for a sign from heaven.
04:43But knowing what they were thinking, he said to them,
04:46Every kingdom divided against itself is heading for ruin,
04:50and a household divided against itself collapses.
04:54So too is Satan.
04:56If he is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand?
05:00Since you assert that it is through Beelzebul that I cast out devils.
05:05Now, if it is through Beelzebul that I cast out devils,
05:11through whom do your own experts cast them out?
05:15Let them be your judges then.
05:17But if it is through the finger of God that I cast out devils,
05:21then know it is that the kingdom of God has overtaken you.
05:27So long as a strong man fully armed guards his own palace,
05:31his goods are undisturbed.
05:33But when someone stronger than he is attacks and defeats him,
05:38the stronger man takes away all the weapons he relied on
05:41and shares out his spoil.
05:44He who is not with me is against me,
05:47and he who does not gather with me scatters.
05:51When an unclean spirit goes out of a man,
05:53it wanders through waterless country looking for a place to rest.
05:57And not finding one, it says,
05:59I will go back to the home I came from.
06:01But on arrival, finding it swept and tidied,
06:06it then goes off and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself.
06:10And they go in and set up house there,
06:13so that the man ends up by being worse than he was before.
06:17The Gospel of the Lord.
06:19The Gospel of the Lord.
06:47Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:51for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you.
06:54Fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
06:56it will become for us the bread of life.
06:58Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
07:08for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you.
07:11Fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
07:13it will become for us our spiritual drink.
07:15Pray, brothers and sisters,
07:27that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
07:30the Almighty Father.
07:31Accept, O Lord, we pray the sacrifices instituted by your commands.
07:43And through the sacred mysteries which we celebrate with dutiful service,
07:47graciously complete the sanctifying work
07:49by which you are pleased to redeem us,
07:52through Christ our Lord.
07:54Amen.
07:57The Lord be with you, and with your spirit.
08:00Lift up your hearts.
08:01We lift them up to the Lord.
08:02Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:04It is right and just.
08:06It is truly right and just,
08:08our duty and our salvation,
08:09always and everywhere,
08:11to give you thanks,
08:12Father most holy,
08:13through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
08:16your word through whom you made all things,
08:18whom you sent as our Savior and Redeemer,
08:21incarnate by the Holy Spirit,
08:23and born of the Virgin.
08:25Fulfilling your will,
08:26and gaining for you a holy people,
08:28he stretched out his hands,
08:30as he endured his passion,
08:32so as to break the bonds of death,
08:34and manifest the resurrection.
08:36And so with all the angels and all the saints,
08:39we declare your glory,
08:40as with one voice we acclaim,
08:43Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
08:45God of hosts,
08:47heaven and earth are full of your glory,
08:49Hosanna in the highest.
08:50Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,
08:53Hosanna in the highest.
08:57You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:59the fount of all holiness.
09:01Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
09:03by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
09:06so that they may become for us the body and blood
09:09of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:11At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly
09:14into his passion, he took bread,
09:16and giving thanks, broke it,
09:18and gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:21Take this all of you and eat of it,
09:24for this is my body,
09:26which will be given up for you.
09:44In a similar way,
09:52when supper was ended,
09:54he took the chalice,
09:55and once more giving thanks,
09:57he gave it to his disciples,
09:58saying,
09:59Take this all of you,
10:00and drink from it,
10:01for this is the chalice of my blood,
10:04the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:07which will be poured out for you and for many,
10:10for the forgiveness of sins.
10:12Do this in memory of me.
10:40The mystery of faith.
10:42When we eat this bread and drink this cup,
10:44we proclaim your death, O Lord,
10:47until you come again.
10:48Therefore, as we celebrate
10:49the memorial of his death and resurrection,
10:52we offer you, Lord,
10:53the bread of life
10:54and the chalice of salvation,
10:56giving thanks that you have held us worthy
10:58to be in your presence
11:00and minister to you.
11:02Humbly we pray that,
11:03partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
11:06we may be gathered into one
11:07by the Holy Spirit.
11:08Remember, Lord,
11:10your church spread throughout the world
11:12and bring her to the fullness of charity,
11:14together with Leo our Pope
11:16and Charles our Bishop
11:17and all the clergy.
11:19Remember also our brothers and sisters
11:21who have fallen asleep
11:23in the hope of the resurrection,
11:25and all who have died in your mercy.
11:28Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:31Have mercy on us all,
11:32we pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
11:34Mother of God,
11:36with blessed Joseph, her spouse,
11:37with the blessed Apostles
11:39and all the saints
11:40who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:43we may merit to be co-heirs to eternal life
11:45and may praise and glorify you
11:48through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:50Through him and with him and in him,
11:52O God, Almighty Father,
11:54in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:56all glory and honor is yours
11:58forever and ever.
12:00Amen.
12:02At the Savior's command,
12:04informed by divine teaching,
12:05we now dare to say,
12:07Our Father who art in heaven,
12:09hallowed be thy name.
12:11Thy kingdom come,
12:12thy will be done on earth
12:14as it is in heaven.
12:16Give us this day our daily bread
12:17and forgive us our trespasses
12:19as we forgive those
12:21who trespass against us.
12:23And lead us not into temptation,
12:26but deliver us from evil.
12:28Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
12:30from every evil.
12:31Graciously grant peace in our days,
12:34that by the help of your mercy,
12:36we may be always free from sin
12:37and safe from all distress
12:39as we await the blessed hope
12:41and the coming of our Savior,
12:43Jesus Christ.
12:47Lord Jesus Christ,
12:48who said to your apostles,
12:49Peace I leave you,
12:50my peace I give you.
12:52Look not on our sins,
12:53but on the faith of your church,
12:55and graciously grant her peace
12:57and unity in accordance
12:58with your will,
12:59who live and reign forever and ever.
13:02The peace of the Lord
13:03be with you always.
13:05Let's offer each other
13:06the sign of peace.
13:07Peace be with you.
13:08Lamb of God,
13:21you take away the sins of the world,
13:23have mercy on us.

13:34Peace be with you.
13:38Behold the Lamb of God,
13:55behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
13:58Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
14:01Lord, I am not worthy
14:03that you should enter under my roof,
14:05but only say the word
14:07and my soul shall be healed.
14:10My Jesus,
14:11I believe that you are present
14:13in the most blessed sacrament.
14:15I love you above all things,
14:17and I desire to receive you into my soul.
14:20Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:23commonly, spiritually, into my heart,
14:26I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:28and unite myself wholly to you.
14:31Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:34Amen.
14:35Let us pray.
14:39Grant us, almighty God,
14:41that we may be refreshed and nourished
14:43by the sacrament which we have received,
14:45so as to be transformed into what we consume,
14:48through Christ our Lord.
14:50Amen.
14:51Thank you, friends,
14:52for your prayerful company today.
14:54Wish you all of God's blessings
