00:00In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:20We acknowledge our sins, but more importantly, the compassion, the mercy and the love of God.
00:30Amen.
00:39You are with us in good times and in bad times. Lord, have mercy.
00:44Your love knows no end. Christ, have mercy.
00:49And you turn to good everything for those who love you. Lord, have mercy.
00:53May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
01:01Let us pray.
01:03O God, protector of those who hope in you, without whom nothing has firm foundation, nothing is holy.
01:12Bestow in abundance your mercy upon us, and grant that with you as our ruler and guide,
01:17we may use the good things that pass in such a way as to hold fast even now to those that ever endure.
01:24Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:33A reading from the book of Exodus, Moses made his way back down the mountain, and the two tablets of the law in his hands.
01:46Tablets inscribed on both sides, inscribed on the front and on the back.
01:52These tablets were the work of God, and the writing on them was God's writing engraved on the tablets.
01:59Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting.
02:04There is the sound of battle in the camp, he told Moses.
02:08Moses answered him, No song of victory is this sound, no waiting for defeat, this sound.
02:16It is the sound of chanting that I hear.
02:19As he approached the camp and he saw the calf and the groups dancing, Moses' anger blazed.
02:26He threw down the tablets he was holding and broke them at the foot of the mountain.
02:32He seized the calf they had made and burnt it, grinding it into powder, which he shattered on the water,
02:40and he made the sons of Israel drink it.
02:44To Aaron Moses said,
02:46What has this people done to you, for you to bring such a great sin on them?
02:53Let not my Lord's anger blaze like this, Aaron answered.
02:58You know yourself how prone this people is to evil.
03:02They said to me,
03:03Make us a God to go at our head.
03:07This Moses, the man who brought us up from Egypt,
03:12we do not know what has become of him.
03:14So I said to them who has gold,
03:18and they took off and brought it to me.
03:22I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.
03:26On the following day, Moses said to the people,
03:29You have committed a grave sin,
03:31but now I shall go up to the Lord.
03:33Perhaps I can make atonement for your sins.
03:37And Moses returned to the Lord.
03:39I am grieved, he cried.
03:40This people has committed a grave sin,
03:43making themselves a God of gold.
03:46And yet, if it pleased you to forgive the sin of theirs.
03:51But if not, then brought me out from the book that you have written.
03:56The Lord answered Moses,
03:57It is the man who has sinned against me
04:01that I shall brought up from my book.
04:07Go now and lead the people to the place of which I told you.
04:11My anger shall go before you,
04:13but on the day of my visitation,
04:16I shall punish them for their sin.
04:18The word of the Lord.
04:22Thanks be to God.
04:25Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
04:28Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
04:32They fashioned a calf at Horeb
04:34and worshipped an image of metal,
04:37exchanging the God who was their glory
04:39for the image of a bull that is grass.
04:43Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
04:45They forgot the God, who was their Savior,
04:50who had done such great things in Egypt,
04:53such portents in the land of Ham,
04:56such marvels at the Red Sea.
04:59Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
05:03For this, he said, he would destroy them.
05:06But Moses, the man who had chosen,
05:10he had chosen, stood in the bridge before him
05:13to turn back his anger,
05:15from destruction.
05:17Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
05:21Hallelujah, hallelujah.
05:23The Father gave us birth by his message of truth,
05:27that we might be as the first fruits of his creation.
05:32Hallelujah.
05:32The Lord be with you.
05:37A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
05:40Glory to you, O Lord.
05:42Jesus put a parable before the crowds.
05:46The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed,
05:49which a man took and sown in his field.
05:52It is the smallest of all the seeds.
05:54At when it has grown,
05:56it is the biggest shrub of all,
05:58and becomes a tree,
05:59so the birds of the air come
06:01and shelter in its branches.
06:04He told them another parable.
06:05The kingdom of heaven is like the yeast
06:08a woman took
06:09and mixed with tree measures of flour,
06:13till it was leavened all true.
06:16In all this,
06:16Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables.
06:19Indeed,
06:20he would never speak to them
06:21except in parables.
06:23This was to fulfill the prophecy.
06:25I will speak to you in parables
06:28and expound things hidden
06:30since the foundation of the world.
06:34The Gospel of the Lord.
06:36Praise to you,
06:37Lord Jesus Christ.
06:49The mystery of God
06:50working through stuff
06:52that we do not understand.
06:55That God does indeed
06:56turn everything to good.
06:59That God is working
07:00through the events of life
07:01for our good.
07:03That God is always with us
07:05even when we don't see him active.
07:07We are held in the palm of God
07:09and God is always faithful.
07:21Blessed are you,
07:22Lord God of all creation.
07:23For to your goodness
07:25we have this bread to offer.
07:27Which earth has given
07:28human hands have made.
07:30It will become for us
07:31the bread of life.
07:33Blessed be God forever.
07:34Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
07:59for to your goodness
07:59we have received
08:00the wine we offer you,
08:02fruit of the vine and work of human hands.
08:05It will become a spiritual drink.
08:07It will become a spiritual drink.
08:08Blessed be God forever.
08:18Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
08:20that my sacrifice and yours
08:22may be acceptable to God,
08:24our Almighty Father.
08:25May the Lord accept his sacrifice
08:27at our hands
08:28to the praise and glory
08:29of God's name
08:30for our good
08:31and the good of God's
08:32holy church.
08:38Accept, O Lord, we pray,
08:40the offerings which we bring
08:41from the abundance of your gifts,
08:44that through the powerful working
08:45of your grace,
08:47these most sacred mysteries
08:48may sanctify our present way of life
08:50and lead us to eternal gladness.
08:53Through Christ our Lord.
08:55Amen.
08:56The Lord be with you.
08:59Lift up your hearts.
09:02Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
09:04It is truly right and just,
09:07our duty and our salvation,
09:10always and everywhere,
09:11to give you thanks,
09:12Father most holy,
09:13for your beloved Son,
09:15Jesus Christ,
09:16your word,
09:17for whom you made all things,
09:19whom you sent as our Savior
09:20and Redeemer,
09:22incarnate by the Holy Spirit
09:23and born of the Virgin.
09:25Fulfilling your will
09:26and gaining for you
09:27a holy people,
09:29he stretched out his hands
09:30as he endured his passion,
09:31so as to break the bonds of death
09:34and manifest the resurrection.
09:36And so,
09:37with the angels and all the saints,
09:39we declare your glory,
09:40as with one voice we acclaim,
09:43Holy, Holy,
09:44Holy Lord,
09:45God of hosts,
09:46heaven and earth
09:47are full of your glory.
09:49Hosanna in the highest.
09:51Blessed is he who comes
09:52in the name of the Lord.
09:54Hosanna in the highest.
09:59You are indeed holy,
10:01O Lord,
10:01the fount of all holiness.
10:03Make holy,
10:03therefore,
10:04these gifts,
10:04we pray,
10:05by sending down your Spirit
10:06upon them like the youthful,
10:08so that they may become for us
10:10the body and blood
10:11of our Lord Jesus Christ.
10:13At the time he was betrayed
10:15and ended willingly
10:16into his passion,
10:17he took bread
10:18and giving thanks
10:20broke it
10:20and gave it to his disciples,
10:22saying,
10:23Take this,
10:23all of you,
10:24and eat of it,
10:25for this is my body
10:26which will be given up
10:28for you.
10:28In a similar way,
10:34when supper was ended,
10:35he took the chalice
10:36and once more
10:38giving thanks,
10:39he gave it
10:40to his disciples,
10:41saying,
10:41Take this,
10:42all of you,
10:42and drink from it,
10:44for this is the chalice
10:45of my blood,
10:46the blood of the new
10:47and eternal covenant,
10:49which will be
10:50pulled out for you
10:52and for many
10:52for the forgiveness
10:54of sins.
10:55Do this
10:56in memory of me.
11:03The mystery of faith,
11:05we proclaim your death,
11:07O Lord,
11:07and profess your resurrection
11:09until you come again.
11:12Therefore,
11:12as we celebrate
11:13the memorial
11:14of his death
11:14and resurrection,
11:16we offer you,
11:17Lord,

11:22worthy to be
11:23in your presence
11:24and minister to you.
11:26Humbly we pray
11:27that partaking
11:28of the body
11:29and blood of Christ,
11:31we may be gathered
11:31into what?

11:51in the hope
11:51of the resurrection.
