00:00A handful, a good number of Kansas City Chiefs players yesterday wore a t-shirt before the game
00:05that I found objectionable. I'm not one of those guys that's like, I can't believe you wore something.
00:09I don't care typically. But a bunch of guys, including Travis Kelsey, wore a t-shirt pregame,
00:16there you see right there, that says free four. Okay, four in this case is Rasheed Rice.
00:22Rasheed Rice was suspended for six games without pay by the NFL because you may remember the specifics of it.
00:31If not, I'll give it to you real quick. He was racing.
00:34Yep, drag racing.
00:35He was drag racing with another buddy of his in like Lamborghinis or something.
00:39He was doing 120 miles per hour in like a residential zone.
00:43He pled guilty to not one but two felonies.
00:47He fled the scene of the accident.
00:49He settled out of court with one of the victims because there were serious and significant injuries
00:55that required hospital time.
00:57And the grace of God alone is why no one died, thank God, in this terrible racing incident.
01:04He settled with one of the victims for a million dollars out of court.
01:08He owes a hundred some thousand bucks in restitution.
01:11And there were, as I said, serious injuries.
01:14So the NFL wanted to suspend him double-digit games.
01:16They came up with an agreement with the union that he'll miss the first six games without pay.
01:20And he'll be ready in week seven.
01:22He's going to play this year.
01:23Yeah.
01:23All right?
01:24Two felonies, not one.
01:25He ain't going to prison.
01:26I think he had a 30-day sentence.
01:28Yeah.
01:28Which is going to be going to make it easy for him.
01:31Yeah.
01:31After the season.
01:32So he got like a 30-day sentence but doesn't have to serve any of it until after the season.
01:37Right.
01:37Tell me who else gets that kind of deal.
01:39And the Chiefs are wearing shirts as if he's Nelson Mandela.
01:45Like he's being imprisoned for nothing.
01:48Or like the system has brought him down and it's an injustice that needs to be righted.
01:54Like my man, you couldn't be more tone deaf.
01:58There are people that went to the hospital.
02:00People that could have lost their lives because he was drag racing down in Dallas, Texas.
02:05And then knowing there was an accident in which people were hurt, he left the scene.
02:11And you're rocking a t-shirt?
02:13Free or she rice?
02:15Come on now.
02:16It's crazy.
02:17Come on now.
02:18Like know the situation.
02:19I appreciate a friend supporting a friend.
02:22I'm not saying you turn your back on him.
02:23He obviously was immature, did something stupid, got very lucky that no one died.
02:28And he'll be able to live the rest of his life and make a lot of money as a professional football player.
02:32I don't begrudge him that.
02:33He should be allowed to do that once he pays, you know, his debt to society and to the victims.
02:39But the tone deaf level on players, including Travis Kelsey, acting like, you know, the system or the government or the police or the DA are somehow infringing on the rights of Rasheed Rice?
02:54Come on now.
02:55That is a bad look and that is completely tone deaf.
