00:00All right, Coach, let's go around the National Football League.
00:02In your opinion, Coach, there's one quarterback in this league
00:05that you'd like to coach, outside of Baker.
00:09Who would that quarterback be?
00:13There's so many.
00:14You know, Patrick, for sure.
00:16You know, that workout we had out in Lubbock with him was just amazing.
00:21But people don't realize he might be the smartest
00:24or third smartest guy ever interviewed with Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning.
00:31Actually, Josh Allen.
00:32I love Josh.
00:33There's everything about him.
00:35Justin Herbert.
00:35There's so many.
00:36Joe Burrow.
00:38That's the one thing the league is so blessed right now
00:41with so many good young quarterbacks.
00:42We just keep them healthy and quit running all over the damn place.
00:46Coach, you know, Jimmy Johnson told me last year about Patrick Mahomes.
00:51He said he's probably the most untradeable player in the league right now
00:56because of what he can do at the quarterback position.
00:58He said this guy would be worth, like, five first-round picks for what he can do.
01:03I mean, he's winning Super Bowls.
01:04No disrespect to Juju Smith-Schuster.
01:06But this guy's carrying football teams to, like, championships with Juju Smith-Schuster.
01:12How important do you think that's been for Andy,
01:15getting a guy like Kenneth Walker and getting that run game going for him?
01:20Biggest acquisition in the offseason.
01:22Said it many times.
01:22Kenneth Walker was the prize of the offseason,
01:25and I thought it put the Chiefs over.
01:27You know, last year, Patrick was the leading rusher for the Chiefs.
01:31Sure as hell he's going to get hurt, all the running he was doing.
01:34And to put Kenneth Walker in that offense and then now have speed outside,
01:39it was a shame the kid got hurt tonight, Thornton, having a big game.
01:42But, you know, Andy Reid's the most innovative guy still in the league at any age.
01:48I mean, he's one of the greatest, great, best coaches there is.
01:51Coach, Josh Allen, what separates him and what do you see in him?
01:55Because I think he's the best player in the game right now.
01:59I mean, man, 6'5", 255 pounds.
02:04This guy never misses ball games.
02:06I do think he's a little reckless sometimes, you know, running the way he runs.
02:10I think you got to manage that a little bit.
02:12But, Coach, I said this about Joe Brady.
02:15And, look, I love Sean McDermott, big-time winner, kind of a shame what happened.
02:19He kind of got caught in the middle there.
02:21But could this be something here that makes this thing go to a different level
02:26by elevating a guy like Joe Brady that could help him
02:29and make him and get the best out of Allen?
02:33Yeah, I think what might be the best thing to happen to them happens Sunday.
02:37Lose to the Patriots at home.
02:39It's like, oh, we might not be working hard enough.
02:43And then Josh had one of those games, you know.
02:46The turnover buck will hit him in some games.
02:48Now, they usually can overcome it.
02:51But they didn't.
02:52You know, Drake May finally had a great ball game.
02:54And I love Drake May, too.
02:56But Josh Allen, other quarterbacks who try to run all over the place,
03:00they're not 6'5", 250.
03:02You know, he's a tight end running around, breaking tackles.
03:05And these young guys who are, you know, 6'1", 6'2", 200, 215,
03:09they're going to get killed.
03:11And we've got three or four of them on the shelf already.
03:14And the more you put yourself in harm's way as a quarterback, harm's coming.
