00:02The dynasty is a wrap.

00:04The only sad thing about it to me,

00:07because I get great joy out of Kansas City

00:09being eliminated and the dynasty being over

00:11and the rebuild beginning now,

00:14I get no joy out of the fact that Patrick Holmes goes down

00:17with a torn ACL.

00:18Nobody roots for that.

00:20Nobody wants that.

00:21You want them to lose on merit.

00:22They were losing anyway when he got hurt.

00:25I don't care what Chiefs fans have to say.

00:27He was going to lead us down the field.

00:29You scored 13 points with him on the field.

00:31So you can't predict that all of a sudden

00:33he was going to pull Mahomes Magic out of his ass

00:35in that final drive where Mintry throws

00:38the final interception that ends the Chiefs season.

00:41But there's so much more to enjoy

00:42about the end of the dynasty.

00:45And once again, Mr. Tough Guy himself

00:47with no class at all,

00:50Travis Kelsey refuses to talk to the media

00:53after another bad loss.

00:55Here's the question I have

00:56for a guy that claims he's all about his teammates.

00:59And a guy that claims he wants to go out there,

01:01put that uniform on,

01:02and do the best he can

01:03regardless of the playoffs now being out of their reach.

01:07I think Travis Kelsey doesn't play another game

01:10for the Kansas City Chiefs.

01:11You think he's going to shut it down?

01:12I think Travis Kelsey shuts it down.

01:14Now, the question then becomes,

01:16what do you read into that?

01:18If he does shut it down

01:19and doesn't play the final three weeks

01:21because there's nothing to play for,

01:24A, it shows a total disregard

01:25for the Kansas City Chiefs fan base

01:28who have already bought their tickets

01:29to how many home games they got left?

01:31One.

01:31Help me check that for me.

01:32One more home game.

01:33Christmas night.

01:34Okay, so to me,

01:36you got to get your ass out of that field and play.

01:38Of course.

01:38And that becomes kind of

01:39the fun little side story now

01:41with the Kansas City Chiefs.

01:43Does Kelsey play out the string?

01:46And what does it mean if he does or he doesn't?

01:48I think his career is over.

01:50I think you agree with me on that.

01:52It seemed like he got himself

01:53in the greatest shape he could

01:54to go into this season

01:56the way it ended

01:56with that terrible Super Bowl performance

01:58where he was in no man's land

02:00for the majority of the game.

02:02But now you've got much bigger questions

02:04in Kansas City.

02:04because while there is some historical reference

02:08of NFL players,

02:10namely quarterbacks coming back

02:11quicker than other positions come back

02:14from the torn ACL,

02:15it's highly unlikely

02:17that Mahomes is ready to go September 1,

02:20but very likely he's ready to go October 1.

02:23Oh, yeah.

02:24Depending on when he has the surgery.

02:25Absolutely.

02:26That's just me being honest and fair

02:27and objective about it.

02:29Yep.

02:29But next year's season is now in doubt

02:31because you don't know today

02:34exactly when Patrick Mahomes

02:36is going to be playing quarterback

02:37for the Kansas City Chiefs

02:39or how long it takes him

02:40to get up to speed physically

02:42to play quarterback next year.

02:44So this year's over.

02:46The dynasty is over.

02:48And now next year is in doubt.

02:51I think we've seen the last

02:52of Travis Kelsey.

02:53I don't think Travis Kelsey

02:54puts on pads ever again.

02:56I think he cowardly slinks off

02:59into the sunset with his fiance

03:01and all of his media obligations

03:03and opportunities and good for him.

03:05But I think you're going to see

03:06the real Travis Kelsey,

03:08which you have seen the last two weeks

03:09after these bad losses

03:11where he no-shows the media.

03:13And by the way,

03:14the Kansas City media,

03:16all they do is kiss his ass.

03:18So the fact that he no-showed

03:20the media last week

03:21and no-showed the media yesterday

03:23tells me we have now seen

03:25the last of Travis Kelsey

03:27and I don't think he does

03:28the right thing by Chiefs fans.

03:30I hope he does.

03:31I hope he's in the lineup

03:32on Christmas Day.

03:33I hope he goes out there

03:34for one more home game

03:35for the Chiefs fans

03:36who've supported him

03:37and deserve to see that.

03:39But you've got bigger problems.

03:40Isaiah Pacheco's not coming back

03:42next year.

03:43Nope.

03:43Highly unlikely,

03:44Kareem Hunt's coming back

03:45next year.

03:46You don't have a quarterback

03:47to start off the season next year.

03:50And then comes the Andy Reid question.

03:53And I think it's a good question.

03:55He did sign a five-year,

03:56$100 million extension.

03:58He is signed for three more seasons

04:00as of right now

04:01with the Kansas City Chiefs.

04:03But is Andy Reid going to come back

04:05and coach the Chiefs

04:06without Patrick Mahomes?

04:10Yes.

04:11Is he?

04:11And here's why I think he will.

04:13Because I don't think

04:14Travis Kelsey's coming back.

04:15No, Travis Kelsey isn't coming back.

04:16And I know Pacheco ain't coming back.

04:18I don't think Hunt's coming back.

04:19I don't think they want Pacheco back.

04:20I know Chris Jones will come back.

04:22He's under contract.

04:23He's at the end of his career.

04:24But if you're in Kansas City right now,

04:26you are looking at a complete rebuild.

04:29And you have no cap space whatsoever.

04:32You've not done a good job acquiring talent

04:34that apparently was going to make a difference

04:36because the guys that Veech did acquire

04:38have not made a difference.

04:39They have not dropped that well.

04:40To all that speed I keep hearing about.

04:42They never use it, right?

04:44Defensively, they're not great.

04:45They're good.

04:46They're not great.

04:47Their offensive line stinks.

04:48And they have no money available right now

04:51under the cap.

04:51I know that can change, restructure some contracts.

04:54Mahomes, Reed does his deal yet again.

04:56And they'll open up some space.

04:58Yeah.

04:58But right now, I think there's a chance

05:01you lose Andy Reed.

05:03I think there's a chance you lose Steve Spagnuolo

05:05to a head coaching opportunity in the NFL this offseason.

05:09I think Kelsey's gone.

05:11And you don't know when Patrick Mahomes is coming back.

05:15And let's just for a minute enjoy

05:16this Christmas gift that we've all gotten.
