00:00But let's jump right into things, and let's go back to last night with Sunday night football,
00:06an absolutely thrilling game between the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens.
00:12From start to finish, we saw exciting plays.
00:14We saw MVP candidates between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.
00:18It was all over the place, and the way it ended is absolutely historic.
00:23And I guess you could say that nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.
00:27They come away with the win 41-40, and the Ravens are now the first team in NFL history
00:35to score 40-plus points and rush for 235 yards in a losing effort.
00:44Teams prior to this in NFL history were 277-0, including the playoffs,
00:51when they met these requirements of 40-plus points and 235-plus rushing yards.
00:56What we saw from the Bills in the first half was not great, but they came storming back.
01:02They were down 15 points with five-ish minutes left in the fourth quarter,
01:08multiple scores, and obviously it ending with a winning kick.
01:12And Josh Allen and John Harrell had a ton to say after the game.
01:17Well, I mean, it took everybody there.
01:20I'm just proud of our team for staying in it.
01:22No one on the sideline blinked.
01:24I mean, down 15 points, whatever we were, with five, six minutes left.
01:31Staying with it.
01:33Fans leaving, you know, the stadium.
01:36You know, you've got to play this game for 60 minutes,
01:38and that's a really good outfit that we just played.
01:40And, you know, God willing, we take care of business how we're supposed to
01:45and how we think we will.
01:47You know, it's probably a team we'll see again.
01:48And so, you know, they're a greatly coached team.
01:52Hats off to them for having a really good game plan.
01:56But, you know, we stuck in there, and I'm just proud of our guys.
02:00Very disappointing.
02:02We're just going to have to regroup and get ready to go play a long season.
02:06We've got 16 games in front of us.
02:08And good football team, tough environment.
02:11Obviously, we did many good things, but we didn't play well at the end.
02:14But two big situations, the fourth down play, I mean,
02:18that's kind of a play that you don't really expect to happen.
02:22I mean, that's a pretty lucky play.
02:24But they made it.
02:26And between the scrambles, I had Josh Allen played a great game, obviously,
02:29especially at the end, in the fourth quarter, to make those plays.
02:34Scramble plays, extended completions, and then a couple big pass plays.
02:39So that's it, and we're disappointed, but we'll be fine.
02:48So quite a reaction to last night's game.
02:51The Bills head to New York, or I should say New Jersey,
02:53to take on the Jets next week, and the Ravens will host the Browns.
02:58So certainly a bounce-back spot for them.
03:00And speaking of the Jets, they were also involved in a crazy game of their own,
03:05taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, led by their former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers,
03:10through four TD passes in his return to MetLife Stadium and his Steelers debut.
03:17We saw a comeback win from the Steelers, 34-32.
03:21You know, this game, far more points than a lot of people were anticipating.
03:25The total closed at 38-1⁄2, and we saw nearly these teams go over that mark
03:30just solely on their own.
03:31The Steelers were a two-and-a-half-point favorite, so we did see the Jets cover that.
03:35And, you know, as usual, Aaron Rodgers always has a ton to say, win or lose,
03:39but a victory over his former team, certainly good for him to see and a lot to say about it.
03:44I love beating everybody, so it doesn't matter who it is.
03:48I really only played 18 games here, so I was actually talking to Brees about that pregame.
03:54He said, how does it feel?
03:55I said, honestly, I was here for two years, but it doesn't come close to how it's going to feel playing Green Bay
04:05because that was, you know, 18 years of my career.
04:08So it was nice to win, especially, you know, hearing some of the catcalls out there and the boo birds.
04:16You know, I'm not sensitive about that.
04:20I expected that, you know, I kind of liked that, but there were probably people in the organization
04:25that didn't think I could play anymore, so it was nice to remind those people that I still can.
04:30So the Steelers coming away with a victory in a now very competitive AFC North,
04:37and from Rodgers, one player making his debut with a new team, let's turn to another player
04:43making his debut with a new team with Rodgers' former team.
04:46That would be the Green Bay Packers, and Micah Parsons and the Packers now coming away
04:50with a big victory over division opponents, the Lions, and frankly, the Packers kind of handled things
04:56from start to finish. Parsons did well. LaFleur obviously coached a great game,
05:01and most importantly, the division win is huge, especially for a Lions team,
05:06which is trying to find their footing with both a new offensive and defensive coordinator,
05:10and LaFleur was very happy after the game.
05:13Well, that was a great team win. Obviously, any time a divisional opponent in particular
05:19that's kind of had their way with us the last three times here at Lambeau,
05:24I was just really proud, and I think of the energy our guys brought, not only in the first half,
05:30but I thought we matched it to start the second half as well. Defensively, it was a dominant
05:37performance. I mean, I think I looked on the stat sheet, and we had something like nine TFLs,
05:43four sacks against a really good offensive line, and Jared does a really good job of getting the ball
05:48out of his hands, so I thought defensively, just our style of play was exactly what we wanted,
05:55and then offensively, I thought we had a good start, and then when there was a lull in there,
06:00and there's some things to build upon where we got to be better, but all in all, I was really happy
06:08with our performance. I thought the fans that showed up brought great energy, and the fans
06:13that sold their tickets to all those Lions fans, got to be better. So from one divisional win to
06:21another one in the NFC, we turn to the NFC South between the Bucs and the Falcons, and the Bucs,
06:27and more importantly, their rookie wide receiver, Emeka Ebuka, has a huge performance on Sunday to
06:34help power them to win. He obviously steps into a big role with Chris Godwin out, Jalen McMillan out,
06:40and the two TDs from the rookie, absolutely fantastic stuff from him. A lot of late game
06:45dramatics, along with a kick missed by Young-Ho Ku for the Atlanta Falcons. We see the Bucs power to
06:51win 23-20, and then the Bengals, not so much of a slow start, at least in the win column for them.
06:58Their defense really led the way when it comes to coming away with a 17-16 victory over divisional
07:03opponent, the Browns. It has to be noted that the Bengals had seven total yards of offense in the
07:10second half, and they obviously came out flying, at least during the preseason. So it's great to see
07:14them come away with the win, but it certainly wasn't perfect for them. And you got to say that
07:18the Browns defense certainly stepped up to kind of keep things close, at least in a divisional game.
