00:00Let's flip it over to a little bit of NFL action, and Week 10 is on deck with Thursday Night Football from Denver.
00:06It's Las Vegas, not a very good team. We'll see if they make any moves there at the trade deadline.
00:09Taking on the Denver Broncos, fresh off a victory on the road against the Houston Texans.
00:14This line, Joe, opened up at 9.5. Hasn't moved all that much, but a lot of outlets are actually showing nines across the board,
00:20and a low total, 42.5 to 41.5, depending on where you're shopping at.
00:25The Denver Broncos, one of the best records in the NFL, taking on the lowly Raiders.
00:29What's your spread line for this game Thursday night?
00:32It feels like the season just, it can't get over fast enough for the Raiders, right?
00:36I mean, that two-point attempt that failed in overtime, I mean, that was just absolutely ridiculous.
00:43And yet, you know, here we go. We've got the Raiders going on the road in a division rivalry against Denver in this spot here.
00:53This line is just going to keep moving, Donnie, I think, here.
00:57I mean, you do see some 8.5s. There was some early pushback on Denver, and I think because the Denver on a short week,
01:05a lot of people feel like this is a mirage. Like, they've been winning a lot of games by the skin of their teeth,
01:11and they might get caught, and maybe this is the week they get caught.
01:14But I think this is all a fake move. You see 8.5s out right now.
01:18I think this thing goes to double digits before kick. No way I'm betting against the defense of Denver at home in this spot.
01:26That's the only way I would look here.
01:28Yeah, pretty clear discrepancy on who has the better defense in this game between Denver and Las Vegas.
01:33And also, let's just see if we get some big moves there. Maybe Mr. Max Crosby is on the move.
01:38You never know at this point, but the deadline comes up today.
01:40More NFL talk. How about a 9.30 a.m. start on Sunday? Atlanta and Indianapolis.
01:46Now, Indy, favored by 5.5 to 6, depending on where you're shopping at, and a total of 48.5.
01:51Atlanta was game last week. Played a pretty good New England team. Actually got the cover.
01:55Not able to come up with the win. Why? Field goal kickers got to make extra points to keep you in that game.
01:59And the Indianapolis Colts showed their first sign to some damage this past weekend,
02:03where Daniel Jones looked like he reverted back.
02:05Is it a bounce-back scenario for the Colts, or it's overseas, and it's anybody's game?
02:09What's your spread line here, Joe?
02:11Look-ahead line, Donnie. Last week was Colts minus 7.
02:16So we've now dipped below that key number, of course, with the loss to the Steelers.
02:21That's now two 27-20 road losses for the Indianapolis Colts.
02:26And Atlanta loss, I thought, but they played well enough to win that game against the Patriots
02:32with Michael Penix back under center.
02:34I think the market is moving against Danny Dimes and company because that was the version
02:41a lot of people were expecting and thought was going to show up at some point.
02:46So I think the Colts, this line is going to keep going towards Atlanta.
02:51I think if it drops another point, point and a half here, Donnie, it might get down to four,
02:56four and a half.
02:57Either which way, I think the Colts are the right side in here.
03:00I do not trust this Atlanta team with Michael Penix just yet.
03:06What to do with those Dallas Cowboys?
03:08The season was ominous from the start.
03:10Why?
03:10Because you take a look at one of the best players in the NFL on the defensive side of
03:14the ball, Micah Parsons, and you fight with him all year and you say, I don't want to talk
03:18to your agent.
03:19We have a deal worked out.
03:20Leave your agent out of this.
03:21And the player goes like, no, my agent's going to negotiate.
03:23And he winds up getting himself one of the biggest contracts in NFL history in Green Bay.
03:27And Green Bay did lose on Sunday, but Micah Parsons looks like he's going to be a force
03:31on the Packers and there'll be somebody to contend with in the playoffs.
03:34And Jerry Jones is like, hey man, we gave up Micah Parsons, but did you know we got Kenny
03:38Clark back?
03:39We think he's absolutely fantastic.
03:41Well, the Dallas defense is atrocious at this point.
03:43The Dallas team is now under 500, but they have an owner that was on Monday Night Football
03:47telling us, I got a trade that I made here.
03:50I'll announce it tomorrow.
03:51But the bigger story tonight is, hey, Gary Bettman is with me.
03:54We're going to play a hockey game here coming up soon.
03:57How exciting is that?
03:58Sometimes I look at the Dallas Cowboy fans and I say to myself, I will never feel bad
04:02for you because most of you are all bandwagoners outside the state of Dallas, or excuse me,
04:06outside the state of Texas there in Dallas.
04:08And I say, you know what?
04:09You deserve what you get.
04:10A completely out of touch owner that has no idea what he's talking about right now and
04:15hasn't sniffed an NFC championship game in 30 plus years at this point right now, Joe.
04:20What to make of the Dallas Cowboys?
04:23How about them Cowboys?
04:25How about them Cowboys?
04:27Yeah, no.
04:28The Cowboys have not been, first of all, America's team since Jerry ran out Jimmy Johnson.
04:36It's just not going to work.
04:39And we've been saying this for how long now, is that Jerry's his worst enemy.
04:43And we thought maybe his son would be able to kind of take the reins and control good old
04:49dad there.
04:49But that is not the case here.
04:52It should have never gotten the way it was on Micah Parsons.
04:55They've had opportunity after opportunity here to build around.
05:00And the worst part is, you know, Dak Prescott really started to show signs of starting to
05:04come into his own here.
05:06And you've you've done nothing to help protect him on the offensive line.
05:10And now you're putting him in a spot where you're going to have to drop back 40, 50 times
05:14a game because you have no running game.
05:16You have no.
05:17It's an absolute nightmare, Donnie.
05:19It's turning out to be an absolute nightmare in Dallas.
05:22But they do make the trade there for Logan Wilson to shore up that defense just in time
05:27for the Vegas Raiders.
05:28Then the meat of that schedule doesn't look like the Dallas Cowboys are headed to the
05:31playoffs this year.
05:32It's kind of shocking because usually as long as Dak Prescott is healthy for the season,
05:35they're usually a pretty good regular season team.
05:37Not right now.
05:38Boy, they got buried late in that fourth quarter.
05:40When they knew they were past that offensive line was banged up, the Cardinals brought
05:43that pressure from Jonathan Gannon.
05:45We'll see what else is in store for the Dallas Cowboys today at the trade deadline.
05:48But they do pick up Wilson hoping to help them at the linebacker position.
05:52We'll see the war of attrition, Joe.
05:54That's what we call it sometimes in the NFL.
05:56It's not always the best teams that win Super Bowls.
05:58It's the healthiest teams that can win Super Bowls because when you consistently lose some
06:02of your top players, how do you expect to compete?
06:05And the commanders on Sunday night, they didn't compete at all and they got injured.
06:10Jaden Daniels, dislocated elbow.
06:12Marshawn Lattimore, torn ACL.
06:14Luke McCaffrey, broken collarbone.
06:17Things aren't looking up for the Washington commanders.
06:20My goodness.
06:20This is one of those seasons where it's just not your year, Joe.
06:25Yeah, it's so funny too because I think we started to hear yesterday that maybe it wasn't
06:30dislocated and maybe now he's, you know, he's not finished.
06:35No, like he's finished for the year.
06:37This season is done.
06:38Like you're just not coming back from this, you know, sometimes the injury bug, Donnie,
06:44we saw it happen to the 49ers last year.
06:47It is what it is.
06:48You know, it happens, but I would not be rolling him out there.
06:52I am still scratching my head with the fact that he was in the fourth quarter trailing
06:5838 to seven and you still had him in the game, which is when he ended up getting hurt.
07:03So I don't, I don't get it to me, whether it's dislocated or not, just keep him out.
07:08Next year's another year.
07:09Chalk it up and move on.
07:11Exactly.
07:11Like Dan Quinn's not going to get fired.
07:13So it's up to the organization to understand the task at hand, to not win football games,
07:17to get the highest draft pick you can and come back next year, healthy, rejuvenated,
07:21and with a really good football player that you can add to the mix.
07:24But so many coaches and teams mess this up and hey, man, what a big win it was in week
07:2816.
07:29No, it wasn't.
07:29You went from number three draft pick down to number nine.
07:32Congratulations on that big victory there.
07:34We'll see how the commanders play it out.
07:35But the word is he could come back.
07:37But as Joe points out, for who, for what?
07:39What are you bringing the guy back for?
07:41To get, maybe get a win in the final two games of the season.
07:43Don't do it.
07:44Don't risk it here.
07:44But also, here's Dan Quinn talking about the injury situation and what actually happened.
07:49Get rolling.
07:50I know many of you have been asking about the thought process of Jaden being in the game
07:55in that situation.
07:57I get that.
07:58I've been thinking about it, honestly, nonstop too.
08:00And for me, the answer is, man, I missed it.
08:03But I would fill you in on my thought process.
08:07At the start of the fourth quarter, I guess it was probably like 12 and a half minutes left
08:10in the game.
08:11And that was going to be the last drive for a couple of guys, Jaden and Zach and Debo
08:16and LT.
08:17And so we're going to have any read run plays and meaning no carries, you know, for the
08:22quarterback on a run.
08:24And honestly, man, that's where I missed it.
08:26Of course, he could scramble.
08:27It's Jaden.
08:27It's what he's special at.
08:28And that is 100% that's on me.
08:31And I also said last night in the presser to our fans that, man, did we miss our mark
08:37as a team.
08:38And with that performance, we need to fix it.
08:41They created an awesome environment, you know, at Stadium for the game.
08:44And that fix needs to be done, needs to be done now.
08:47So...
08:48Going to go back to Daniel Snyder as their owner now with how bad things are in Washington.
08:54What do you think?
08:55Well, at least he owned it.
08:57You know what I mean, Donnie?
08:58No excuses.
08:59Like, I missed it.
09:00I'll give him, you know, I'll give him props for that.
09:03Absolutely.
09:04You know, you own it there.
09:05But I'm wondering, really, does he really care?
09:08Does any coach in that spot really care that the fans created such a great environment
09:12and you sucked?
09:13I don't think so.
09:14But well said there.
09:16You got to butter up the fan base, right?
09:18You owned it.
09:18You didn't hide from it.
09:20And you promised that you'll do better.
09:22I don't see how they'll do better.
09:23The injuries are just over the top on the defensive side of the ball.
09:28You think the Cowboys have issues defensively.
09:30This Washington team is right there with them as far as points given up go.
09:35It's just, it's not good right now with Washington.
09:38Exactly.
09:39One team, like the Niners, are in the same position against Washington,
09:42playing a soft schedule and still winning football games.
09:44Commanders just as beat up.
09:45They're just not being able to find victories at this point.
09:47How many are left in the tank for them for the remaining parts of the season?
09:50Trades are going down today.
09:51It is trade deadline day.
09:53Here's a video Jalen Phillips traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
09:56It's incredible.
09:57You know, it's like I had no idea this was going to happen.
10:00But I mean, there's literally no other team I would rather play for.
10:03You know, obviously Philly is a storied franchise.
10:05Great tradition here.
10:06Incredible team.
10:07So I'm just excited to get in and get to work with the guys, man.
10:10I'm super excited.
10:11It's going to be awesome.
10:12And you had a lot of success with Vic Fangio for that year.
10:15What is the fit with Vic Fangio?
10:17Are you excited to be reunited with him?
10:18Yeah, I love Vic as a person and as a coach.
10:20So like you said, I had some good success with him.
10:22Excited to get back into his system and play with the other guys on the defense, too.
10:26How about that?
10:28Everybody wants to play for America's team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
10:31And Howie Roseman for a third-round draft pick.
10:32And also not even the best third-round draft pick the Eagles have, which is the Jets pick
10:36here.
10:37Able to pull off that.
10:38That really helps the defensive line.
10:39And also understand this.
10:40Their best pass wrestler, Nolan Smith, is also coming back after the bye week here.
10:44The Eagles adding on to the defense, Joe, where they needed some help on that D-line.
10:48Oh, I'm so glad Jerry didn't need any help on defense.
10:52Couldn't figure out a way to come up with a trade there.
10:55Oh, yeah, that's right.
10:56Logan Wilson, the linebacker who couldn't even start for the Cincinnati Reds.
11:01Horrific defense there.
11:02Good stuff.
11:03Yeah.
11:03And the Eagles and the Rich keep getting richer, Donnie.
11:06Go figure.
11:08Trey Hendrickson wants out.
11:09He probably won't get traded because the Bengals just a stupid franchise overall.
11:13Hour number two.
11:14A little stupidity there, people.
11:15Week 10 in the NFL.
11:18It's time to turn the page, Joe.
11:19We just saw last night the Dallas Cowboys.
11:21Ooh, they were bad last night against the Cardinals.
11:24The Cardinals have life for the rest of the season.
11:26Maybe their coach can make it for the 2026 season if they play well down the stretch and
11:30maybe still miss the playoffs.
11:32They are playing in a really good division there.
11:34The Dallas Cowboys, I'm not saying the division's up for grabs because the Eagles are the best
11:37team.
11:37But now you take a look at the Commanders, the Giants, and the Cowboys.
11:40They basically all feel out of it, and that's what happens.
11:43But new week, new monies, we like to say, Joe.
11:45And it starts on Thursday night.
11:47Las Vegas taking on Denver in the Mile High City.
11:50Double-digit favorite.
11:51Call it here for the Denver Broncos.
11:53Around nine and a half, depending on where you're shopping.
11:55And a total of 41 and a half.
11:57Vegas' offense woke up last week.
11:59Why?
11:59You get back Brock Bowers, and he's just as good, if not better, than when you saw him
12:03earlier in the season.
12:04Three touchdown catches here.
12:06Can they make a difference, or does Denver's defense say, you know what, hey, Gino, you
12:11ain't running away from this pass rush.
12:12We're getting after you here.
12:13Good luck.
12:15Things have gone for bad for worse for the Raiders, right?
12:18I mean, it's just not good.
12:19Pete Carroll, you know, 74, 75, said, well, however old he is.
12:23Got to be going, like, what in the hell am I coming back here for?
12:26Like, what am I doing?
12:28But it feels like Denver on a short week, Donnie, and the market seems to agree, because
12:33early money coming in on the Raiders, that maybe this is just too big a number here.
12:38I mean, it's not like Denver has been convincing in a lot of their wins.
12:43They've gotten away.
12:44They lost a couple of games they probably shouldn't have lost, but they've also won a few games
12:48in which, eh, they had a lot of the things go their way here.
12:52So, I mean, they've rattled off six wins in a row.
12:55A desperate Raiders team.
12:57They know one another.
12:58They usually play one another in close games.
13:01It feels like I would only be looking at taking the points here more than a touchdown
13:06than anything else.
13:07Let's step up to the mic on this next one, Joe.
13:09One o'clock start on Sunday.
13:11New England and Tampa Bay.
13:12Drake May and Baker Mayfield here.
13:14Line opened up around a minus one and a half is that look ahead.
13:17It's actually improving towards Tampa's side to minus two and a half.
13:20Well, I love Baker Mayfield.
13:21I love the way they play defense.
13:22Still put pressure.
13:24But New England has been really good, Joe.
13:26One of the hottest teams in the NFL just winning football games.
13:28Sooner than later in the NFL, you do run up against a team where, you know what, you're
13:32not going to win every week.
13:34And one of the biggest advantages that you can have is coming off a bye.
13:37Two weeks to prepare for one football team while the other team is playing football.
13:40Now, looking at that, do you feel that the right side is favored in this game and Tampa
13:44should be a favorite?
13:45Or do you think Tampa maybe should be favored by more at this point?
13:49Well, and I think that's going to be the key, Donnie.
13:51Does this thing get to the key number of three?
13:54I don't ever think it'll get to three and a half.
13:57And if it does, it will not stay there long.
13:59But I think it will this number go to three or not.
14:02I think a lot of that has to do with whether or not Tampa, how healthy are they getting?
14:07Right?
14:07Who's coming back for the Tampa Bay Bucs here for this week after, you know, a week off
14:13here.
14:14I wasn't all that impressed with that win by the Falcons.
14:17Yes, they got the win.
14:18Kudos.
14:19But there are still a lot of deficiencies with this New England team.
14:23Now they got to go on the road.
14:24It's going to be another hot one here in Florida.
14:29So, yeah, it's, to me, the home field advantage alone for the Tampa Bay Bucs is good enough
14:35to want to back them under a field goal.
14:37How about this next game?
14:39Intriguing to say the least, man.
14:40The Baltimore Ravens looking to get their season back on track here with a victory last
14:43Thursday against the Miami Dolphins.
14:45Look, they continue that in Minnesota.
14:47And Minnesota might have been that team you're looking at, like, you know what?
14:49They're not going to be able to win that division.
14:50They might be dead in the water.
14:51J.J. McCarthy's coming back.
14:53We don't know what to anticipate.
14:54What a performance by the Minnesota Vikings and J.J. McCarthy.
14:57They beat up on the Detroit Lions.
14:59Now they come back home to take on the Ravens.
15:01And also, underdog in this game, it's not the Ravens.
15:05Their favorite four and a half at most outlets and a total 47 and a half.
15:09McCarthy really showed some signs of life.
15:11This is an intriguing one to handicap because the one thing I did like was Lamar Jackson had
15:15success throwing the football on Thursday night, but didn't look like he was all there
15:19rushing.
15:19I wonder if another week gets him healthier here and he's able to use his legs a bit
15:24more.
15:24That's a fun game to look at, Joe.
15:27It is.
15:28And, you know, look at it.
15:30I mean, they were a big underdog against the Lions on the road, right?
15:34And they won that game outright.
15:36So if we take that line against the Lions and use that as a reference, and then we flip
15:42it for home field.
15:43So you're telling me the Lions and the Ravens are on the same page?
15:46They're rated the same?
15:48I don't know that that is the truth.
15:51I think the value is on Minnesota here.
15:53I think the Ravens, everyone's going to be like, oh, Lamar is back.
15:57The Ravens are fixed.
15:58I am not sure that is the case.
16:00And by the way, Minnesota was missing a lot of guys on defense, Van Ginkle and company
16:06all came back against Detroit.
16:08And you could see the difference there with Flores and the game that he called on the defensive
16:14side.
16:14I think this is, I think a lot of value here on the Vikings.
16:19If you can get it over to key number of three, three and a half.
16:22Yeah.
16:23Flores, like that same school as Todd Bowles, like you're not going to be able to get comfortable
16:26in the pocket.
16:27We are bringing heat repeatedly and against a really good offense in Detroit.
16:30They broke down that offensive line all throughout that game.
16:33We're able to come away with pressure.
16:34We'll see if they can do the same against Lamar Jackson.
16:37Now, again, it's a risk reward.
16:38If you get a healthy Lamar where he can run, you bring a blitz, it's lights out all day
16:42long.
16:42Lamar is going to run for a hundred plus yards and they'll move the football.
16:45But if he's slow in the pocket, like he was last week against the Dolphins, maybe that
16:49keeps it up.
16:50Something to find out later, but a really good game to look at.
16:52How about a 425 start on the West Coast?
16:54San Francisco is the home team here.
16:56Big time game between the Rams taking on the 49ers.
16:59The road team, the Rams, they are favored by three and a half points against the 49ers
17:04and a total of 49 and a half.
17:06We still don't know who the quarterback is going to be, but Mac Jones has filled in very
17:09well for Brock Purdy.
17:11We don't know who the wide receivers will be.
17:12Who's on the defensive line.
17:14Every week, somebody gets injured for the 49ers, but it seems like they're still hanging
17:17in there.
17:18Well, they are.
17:20And it feels like, boy, the Rams are being priced at the top of the market right now,
17:25aren't they?
17:26I mean, a road favorite over a key number laying three and a half against a, you know, what
17:33have the 49ers done besides weather the storm overcome huge injuries to key guys here?
17:40It was minus three looking ahead, Donnie, before the week.
17:44And now it's three and a half.
17:46And I think it's probably going to go a little bit higher here, but it's hard for me.
17:52It's buy low, sell high.
17:54It feels like it's time to sell high on the Rams in a spot like this as a road favorite.
17:58Here's a good one to Sunday night football.
18:01Like it used to be the past couple of weeks, the marquee matchups just weren't there.
18:03It feels like we're getting some better versions here.
18:05The Pittsburgh Steelers with a huge victory, not salvaging their season.
18:09They were over 500, but say, hey, you know what, Baltimore, you're not going to overtake
18:12us in two weeks here.
18:12We're going to have to make you earn it.
18:13They beat the Colts.
18:14Now they go on the road to take on the Chargers who did pick up a victory.
18:17And in that game, by the way, threw a pick six and also gave up a special teams touchdown.
18:21But the defense was very good.
18:23That's not the focal point.
18:24The mojo is back for the Pittsburgh defense, particularly getting pressure on the quarterback
18:28and the Chargers.
18:30They are so beat up on the offensive line.
18:32The Chargers are a three point favorite in a total 45 and a half.
18:36That Pittsburgh defense a little bit maligned on the back end.
18:39But if they can get pressure, that eliminates a lot of stress here, Joe.
18:42Can they do it against the Chargers?
18:44Well, you know, Pittsburgh as a dog, right?
18:47We know that's where Tomlin thrives.
18:49You know, the look ahead in this line, Donnie, was three and a half here for the Chargers.
18:54The total was also 46 and a half.
18:56And we've seen the total be bet down.
18:59And we've seen this thing now being at three pretty much across the board for the Steelers.
19:06So the Steelers, as the markets are viewing them, maybe have righted the ship here a little
19:11bit.
19:11I think there's a lot of skepticism about the Chargers and all of the injuries now.
19:17And, you know, being a home favorite here again, it's a long trip, I mean, for Pittsburgh.
19:22But this has always been a spot at getting points that you want to back Tomlin and Pittsburgh.
19:28And I think this number might get the two and a half before kick.
19:32Yeah.
19:32Take a look at the schedule coming up there for the Pittsburgh Steelers, too.
19:36Again, a big victory to stop a two-game losing streak there against the Colts.
19:39You take the Chargers on this week.
19:41Chance to win that game, of course.
19:42Then you have the Bengals and the Bears up next.
19:45Before, the Bills, Ravens.
19:47Then you get a breather against the Dolphins.
19:48It's not a bad stretch, but also understand this, what we were always pointing to in those
19:52marketplaces, like who can win that division, two games still left between the Ravens and
19:56the Pittsburgh Steelers.
19:57So the Ravens are just trying to stay in earshot of the Steelers because if you can beat them
20:02twice, it's like winning three games because you get the two-game advantage on them, and
20:05then you get the tiebreaker on top of that.
20:07Should be a really fun close to the season.
20:09But this week, Joe, you take a look at some of these games that we've gone over already early
20:13in the week.
20:13It looks like it's going to be fun, and also, that Monday night football game, Philadelphia
20:18and Green Bay, and away you go.
20:19Good-looking week this week for the people out there to lay down.
20:22I like it.
20:24What?
20:24You're not interested in the Browns at the Jets?
20:26I mean, my goodness.
20:28Come on.
20:29What a game.
20:29That?
20:31Sorry.
20:31Sorry.
20:32I can't even say it.
20:32I can't even get the words out of that point.
20:34By the way, Jets are on Thursday night next week in prime time, Joe.
20:38More fun for Jets fans.
