00:07No, I'm just kidding. Probably out in a few weeks, but it'll be out soon enough.
00:11And this is my worst season ever in fantasy football, culminated with last night being up big, thinking I got to win.
00:19And it's just not been my year to go up against B. John Robinson on Monday Night Football.
00:23It's just sometimes, Joe, it's just what happens.
00:25And I'm not quitting, you know, I'm dead, I'm done in one league, one I still have a chance.
00:31But it's just been one of those unfortunate things.
00:34And I looked at the numbers, too, you know, how many points I have versus points given up.
00:38I'm not making any excuses. My team's just not that good.
00:41But I'm doing fine in points, you know, and I'm doing horrendous in points given up.
00:46But that's what the luck is of fantasy sometimes, I think.
00:50Yeah, a bit of it. Look, it's been a tough year for injuries.
00:53There's been a lot of weird and a lot of quarterback injuries, too, that have affected a lot of offenses.
00:57Look at the Ravens players, right? We've gone through with them, with Derrick Henry.
01:01And I think overall, a lot of emerging of some things people didn't see coming necessarily.
01:05The Daniel Jones emergence, the quick emergence of Drake May, who I know we're going to talk about as well.
01:10But it has been a tough year for fantasy.
01:11But here's my question, Craig.
01:13Maybe it's time to start preparing more than a day before the draft.
01:16Maybe you go out and get that black book that comes out in June.
01:19No offense to the black book. No offense to the black book.
01:22But no, it'll never happen.
01:24All right. All right.
01:25I mean, I lost Joe Burrow in week one, and that affected Chase, you know?
01:29Like, I mean, look, I drafted Egbuka.
01:32That was great for a long time, you know?
01:34I was ahead of it with Benson.
01:36That was really good, too.
01:37It's just things happen.
01:38I don't complain about this stuff anymore.
01:39What happens is when I get this far into the season, I just make sure that I paid already
01:43because I do not want to pay at the end of the season after I'm horrendous.
01:46So that's usually my deal.
01:48All right.
01:48Let's get to the winners in fantasy football.
01:50Baker Mayfield's been an MVP candidate.
01:52I think this is a huge topic of discussion, by the way, coming up Monday night with all
01:55those guys being out.
01:56It feels like the Tampa Bay commodities at wide receiver have to be discussed.
02:01We'll get to that.
02:02Baker's a big winner.
02:03You mentioned players that are surprises.
02:05I mean, Rico Dattel has got to be number one after the last two weeks.
02:08He had 183 rushing yards on 30 attempts and also receiving touchdown.
02:13And then Cam Scadaboo, who I loved in college, but I just didn't think this quickly he would
02:19be this much of a factor.
02:21Three touchdowns, 98 yards.
02:24Reminds me so much of when Allstop was with Tampa Bay.
02:26He's just that good.
02:27They don't even have work done with him.
02:29He's the main guy right now.
02:31He is.
02:32And again, if you read your black book, you would be all in on Scadaboo at the NFL level.
02:35Why?
02:36Because they told him in high school it wouldn't work.
02:38They told him in college it wouldn't work.
02:40And then they told him in the pros he wouldn't work.
02:41And guess what?
02:42All this guy does is find dudes, trucks them, and runs in for scores.
02:46This is what he does.
02:47And look, he can catch the football too.
02:48He's a good athlete.
02:49And he brings the energy to the Giants that they have not had a long time.
02:52Look, I'm from the tri-state area.
02:54You know what it's like.
02:55You know, as Giants fans around here can probably attest to, even when the Giants were at their
03:00peak in the mid to late 80s, early 90s, and then again, the Eli Manning era, they
03:05were kind of boring.
03:06I don't think the Giants are boring right now.
03:08I think the Giants are on TV and you go, hey, I kind of want to watch Jackson Dart.
03:12I want to watch Cam Scadaboo.
03:13This is entertaining and it's infectious.
03:16And it's creating actually a bit of a home field advantage for them, which is also something
03:19that I don't know if they've really had that much of in this stadium.
03:23So I think this is really an interesting turn here.
03:26Cam Scadaboo with a 30.93 touchdowns, huge day for them.
03:29But the lead here is Baker Mayfield.
03:31On Sunday morning on FST, I spoke at length about betting Baker Mayfield for MVP at plus
03:36950.
03:38Why?
03:38Because the only thing really standing in his way is Josh Allen, who really is kind of
03:43in a tough spot who doesn't have a lot of help.
03:45And of course, what happened?
03:48Baker Mayfield had an incredible game.
03:50One play in particular that really just is lighting up all the highlight reels.
03:54He gets that big first down, gets out of a sack and kind of keeps willing this team
03:58to win.
03:59And it is a good team.
04:00They've had a lot of continuity.
04:01They did a really good job here with the front office of keeping these guys, drafting
04:04these guys, re-signing these guys, right?
04:06And no matter how many offensive coordinators he has, Baker Mayfield every year continues
04:10to get better and better.
04:11And I think this narrative has grown.
04:13And after this big win against the 49ers, and now you get the Detroit Lions, he is now
04:17plus 350 for MVP.
04:19That drop was significant.
04:21So there's a chance you're already getting offered cash outs for this in some spots.
04:24But I do think Tampa is the best team in the NFC.
04:28And I'm going to stand on that.
04:29You do get Mike Evans back, hopefully this week.
04:31That is the hope.
04:32Noah Mechegbuka, that hurts.
04:34But I don't see why he can't go on the road and get a victory.
04:37And then in terms of Rico Dowdle, you mentioned it.
04:40He is the RB1 over the last two weeks.
04:42Two incredible performances.
04:43200 yards in that first week that he had.
04:46And then last week, the revenge game against the Cowboys.
04:48Just incredible.
04:49He's averaging 33 points per game in PPR.
04:52It's stunning.
04:53The question is, when Chuba Hubbard comes back, what's Chuba Hubbard's role?
04:56Because if you're watching Rico Dowdle, I don't see how you can take him out of what
05:00he's doing right now.
05:01He has been electric for this team, and they're winning games right now.
05:05And I think that is the most important piece here.
05:07So we'll see how it goes.
05:08But if you have Chuba Hubbard right now, it's a very dicey investment on your bench.
05:13Yeah, maybe a trade would help Hubbard.
05:15We'll see.
05:15All right.
05:16So in terms of wide receivers, you mentioned Ekbuka.
05:19Also, Puka Nakua looks like he will miss this week.
05:22And so that's where the waiver wire is going to come into play.
05:24Got to figure that out if you have either of those guys.
05:26Justin Fields, no longer startable in any fantasy format, I don't think, after what I saw last
05:32week.
05:32And then the Dolphins come up short.
05:34And I'm going to guess, Joe, in a couple of weeks, their team's going to look a lot
05:37different than it looks right now.
05:39Yeah, look, bad news is Puka Nakua is not going to play this week.
05:42The good news is it doesn't look like a high ankle sprain.
05:44So maybe we're looking at a couple of weeks here instead of a month and change.
05:47So that is a positive.
05:49Justin Fields with just 45 yards passing.
05:51Look, I think you crumple this up and you throw it out.
05:53And I'll tell you why.
05:55Because in super flex leagues, this is a great time to buy on Justin Fields.
05:58It was awful.
05:59It was terrible.
06:00It's about as bad as it gets.
06:01But Justin Fields is still a QB one in terms of fantasy.
06:05Is it going to look pretty in real life all the time?
06:07No, but you knew what you were getting into in the first place.
06:09And I think there will be panic out there.
06:11It was an international game, a game against one of the best, if not the best defense in
06:16the league, right with the Denver Broncos.
06:18And it was a tough day at the office for Fields.
06:20He comes back this week and you look at the schedule, it gets much better here going forward
06:23for him.
06:24So I think he gets the Carolina Panthers and then followed by the Cincinnati Bengals after
06:28that.
06:28So like there's a good matchups here for Justin Fields coming up in the weeks ahead.
06:32So to me, he's a buy, but there's no doubt that offense was atrocious.
06:35He got sacked nine times.
06:37You just can't have that happen.
06:38And now losing Garrett Wilson doesn't help.
06:40So I think a lot of people will panic.
06:42I would buy him in super flex leagues though.
06:43I'm telling you, I think that rushing equity brings is still good enough.
06:47Now the question is who's going to step up in the vacancy there, Garrett Wilson.
06:51And then in terms of things falling apart, look, we already saw one head coach fired yesterday.
06:55Brian Callahan is gone.
06:56I do believe that Mike McDaniel will be the next to go.
07:00I always thought he would go in week 12, which is when their bi-week is, but the wheels are
07:03coming off even before that.
07:05And it's funny, right?
07:06Because they're kind of competitive in these games.
07:08They're scoring points.
07:09The defense is dreadful.
07:11They have no continuity.
07:12They seem to have no game plan.
07:13And Devon A-chan has played really well, but the Tua comments after the game, I know
07:17a lot of people have discussed them and said, well, it's a bad look on Tua, but what if
07:22Tua is the guy that's already gone to the coaching staff and gone to the front office
07:26saying, Hey, people aren't doing what they're supposed to do.
07:28Who else is he going to appeal to?
07:29But the media and the fan base and everybody else and saying, Hey, I'm running this flag
07:33up this poll here and saying, things are not good.
07:35We need to be better.
07:37It's a guy who comes from a Nick culture.
07:39I can't think of a more different culture than what he's getting right now in Miami.
07:42Yeah, no, I think that that's fine, Joe.
07:45I think the point is, is that you have open locker room on Wednesday and I think all of
07:49that is appropriate for that.
07:50But after a game like that, it just, I just thought it looked stupid on himself to bring
07:56it up now after the week is over and then the open, you know, everyone's there, you
08:00know, I don't know.
08:00I just too much blame thrown in other directions.
08:02He did take accountability, by the way.
08:04All right.
08:04Week seven waiver wire, not the biggest of the season, but gotta be in the top two or three
08:09just because of the injuries again to Nakua and Ibuka.
08:12So I will ask you, I believe this list has three or two players at least that are gone
08:17in most of these leagues.
08:18I understand it says 45% for Vidal and Bourne, but after the last two weeks, I can't see those
08:23guys being available.
08:24So what would you do in this spot?
08:26Because you have Boutte on New England, maybe Downs availability, but this kid, Ted, Tess
08:32Johnson, he could be great this week.
08:35We don't know.
08:35Whittington could start alongside Devontae Adams.
08:38Sterling Shepard may be a guy in Tampa Bay too.
08:41I think you have to get a piece of Tampa Bay Monday.
08:44Yeah, I think that piece for me is Tess Johnson because I like him as a rookie.
08:48He's explosive and he do figure that's going to be a high total game when you're looking at
08:51Vegas.
08:51So I think you try that one.
08:52Shepard, you kind of know what he is.
08:53Tess Johnson, I think is more interesting.
08:55Kamani Vidal is, even on sleeper or competitive league, still just under 50% roster because
09:00a lot of people heard Haskins was going to be the lead and we all just rolled with that.
09:04It turns out Vidal is better right now at least, but it is temporary.
09:08And I think Vidal is temporary until Hampton comes back.
09:11I think all these guys are temporary.
09:12I wouldn't overspend on Boutte, on Whittington, on any of these guys.
09:15They're a bunch of streamers this week.
09:18So bid a couple bucks if you need them because they're waiver wire help.
09:20Other than that, I wouldn't overspend on any of them.
