An Electric Concrete Mixer is a reliable tool designed for mixing concrete, mortar, or plaster quickly and evenly. Ideal for small to medium projects like sidewalks, patios, footings, and repairs, it saves time and ensures consistent results compared to hand mixing.
In this video, we’ll show you how to set up and operate an electric concrete mixer, load materials in the correct order, and achieve a smooth, workable mix every time.
💡 Pro Tip
Add water first, then cement, sand, and gravel for best results. Avoid overloading the drum—smaller batches mix more thoroughly. Keep the drum rotating while loading and pouring to prevent clumps.
⚠️ Safety Reminder
Wear gloves, eye protection, and a dust mask when handling dry cement. Keep electrical cords away from wet areas. Never put hands or tools inside the drum while it’s running. Always clean the mixer immediately after use to prevent hardened buildup.

00:19now this is used only for cement small batch jobs maybe you've got some fence posts or a small bit
00:27of concrete you need probably hold up to about three four bags that you'll pre-mix bags that you
00:33do all the time of course you can make it with your sand and stone and and cement mix as well but
00:40most people use this for pre-mix bags now this is a cement mixer it's not a mortar mixer mortar
00:46mixer paddles are different and then the cement mixer because in this particular case you've
00:52got the stones and everything from the aggregate to mix your your cement with your sand or doing
00:59your pre-mix bags mortar normally just has sand in it and it's and it's very very hard to mix unless
01:06you have the right paddles so remember that when you ask for what you want to eat what you're doing
01:11okay now this small mixer is a nice and portable you're gonna need a heavy extension cord it's
01:17electric to just plug it in and turn it on that'll start the drum turning and then you can add some
01:23water and then add your your pre-mix into it it's got some handles here that'll fold in for transport
01:29and also come out and the pins you can put in to hold your handles and then once you've got it to the
01:36right consistency of the mix then you can easily take it over wheel it over to where you want to do it
01:42and dump it into the the handle and the setup here with the with the frame is easy to dump right into
01:49your hole or or into a small slab that you might be doing or a patchwork but it's a nice convenient
01:56mixer it's not too heavy and a couple of people can easily put it up onto a vehicle and since it's
02:03electric you're not dealing with any motors or anything so think about this for one of your one
02:08your small jobs or certainly fence posts and it could make it a little easier than trying to mix
