A Residue Pump is a heavy-duty pump designed to handle sludge, slurry, and other residual liquids in industrial, construction, or agricultural settings. It efficiently moves thick or abrasive materials that standard pumps cannot handle, making cleanup and transfer faster and safer.
In this video, we’ll show you how to set up and operate a residue pump, connect hoses correctly, and tips for moving thick or viscous liquids safely and efficiently.
💡 Pro Tip
Always check that the pump is primed before starting. Use the correct hose diameter and keep intake filters clean to prevent clogs. Operate at steady pressure to extend pump life and ensure consistent flow.
⚠️ Safety Reminder
Wear gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing. Keep all hoses and connections secure to prevent leaks. Avoid running the pump dry or exceeding manufacturer specifications. Ensure proper ventilation if the pump is gas-powered.

00:00and welcome back regarding our pumps and this is another pump it's called a residue pump and this
00:16is a great pump if you have a flooded basement or a flooded area even in a in a factory or
00:24anywhere that you have to get the water level down as low as possible because you don't have
00:28some pump to stick it into or a spot that's real low the nice thing is this pump pumps draws from
00:35the bottom it's 115 volt it draws right down to the surface pretty well within about a quarter or
00:40an eighth of an inch before it will stop pumping and not like some pumps where you see the holes
00:45on the side this draws off the bottom it uses your lay flat cam lock type of discharge hose which is
00:53easy to put on and just pull the ears up on either side and that locks the the hose on so it's quick
00:59you just put your pump down in lower it by the rope not the cord and have your your hose attached
01:07and plug it in and in the way it goes and it'll take down the material mostly clean water maybe
01:16uh maybe cloudy or a little bit of mud and water but not if not if you're getting into a real muddy
01:20area or a ditch or some area where there's a lot of residue of things around or grass or that it
01:27could be sucked into the pump then all you're going to do is uh spend your time unplugging the pump or
01:31or using something else which is more adequate for that application because every pump has its
01:36application to be used as as you're probably seeing by some of the different styles that you see on our
01:42videos so there's another one that might serve a need for you and don't forget to subscribe
