00:30for this year's net four trophy Mike Kim and I'll be back with the FPL halftime report in the second half of action after this news update sharper you know they had their starting offensive line that they're getting you know and trying to get together with everybody but you know he was just you know it seemed buried you know it never seemed like he really got into a rhythm you know he was able to make some some completions but I think we all were looking for a little now he did have the one drive where he was able to push the ball down the field had a nice got it you know got a nice score nice touchdown
00:59and so that that worked out with Washington and making plays Washington's been been doing pretty well this game but really I think if you if you go into the hole in this halftime I think all the coaches said hey we expect a little bit better than that on the offense yeah Malik one taking advantage of Tyreek Hill perhaps not being available let's go to the defensive side of the ball I know Dolphins fans exciting seeing Bradley Chubb and Jalen Phillips back in there tonight didn't take long to see what that pass rush is going to be right you got Chop Robinson right off the bat
01:29he's going getting to do his little chop dance back there and so we did see that they could rush the pass I think there was some as the game went as the first season or the as the half went on I think you saw a little more sloppy tackling in some of this but I think over the course of this preseason the two other games we've had I thought the tag was really good maybe a little bit left maybe a little bit not as much but again this again this may be the first time you had all this the first unit out there they've got to find out playing how they play together

02:19here now with head coach Mike McDaniel coach I know you always like to see how your team responds to adversity would you like that first string offense to come out in that third drive and put that touchdown drive together
02:28well I'd prefer not to have the start we did but like everything you want to see how people respond so I was happy that we finished the right way overcoming a start that we weren't happy with
02:39obviously there's a lot of young players trying to make a name for themselves in this game in particular but Ollie Gordon a couple big blocks a couple big runs what do you like the way how the way the young back came out especially with a couple of vets down
02:51I think I think he did a great job executing all of his assignments when he didn't have the ball and he ran hard and you know I'm as excited for all the guys all the young players for the second half some careers will be made and we we look forward to watching

03:09all right Mike Cuno and Mike McDaniel and there's a look at two and you know Ollie Gordon the second another guy that's making his way but with the injuries and what he's done in the
03:21preseason about five yards of pop it looks like he's got a roster spot I think he certainly does have a roster spot you know and then unfortunately
03:28Alexander Madison went down early and that gave the opportunity to Ollie uh Ollie um Gordon and I tell you he's he's taken full advantage of it you we've seen everything from him now you see him blocking at the line of scrimmage you see him running with power and you know and he gets in the he gets in the open space he can he can lay up put him up and lay him down and again I you know you can't overlook the fact that he catches a
03:51football well and runs well after the catch so I think he's going to be a great addition to that running back movement Devon H and Jalen Wright those guys and what they can do 26 carries 131 yards in the three preseason season games combined for Ollie Gordon the second six round pick out of Oklahoma State to listen to tonight's game in Spanish enable the secondary audio programming or SAP button on your viewing device
04:21of Hollywood certainly hope is Devon H and Jalen is ready for the Colts game the regular season opener in a couple of weeks the mainstay the number one running back about 1500 yards last year Dolphins will get the football
04:51quite a bit in quite a bit in quite a bit in quite a bit in that first half the Eskridge as well so final half of the 2025 preseason

06:14back and that that includes alec ingold uh in that in that group so you think the three running backs and
06:19a fullback and that's it i think that's it yeah okay i do i really do you know champkins hasn't
06:26hasn't been around that long been a week we could tune since he's been there really not a lot of time
06:30to show much and i don't think mike boone has done enough to earn a spot yeah both those players picked up
06:36last week chris myrick made the catch there on the throw by jack wilson
06:47listen throws like it's a nice one in there he looks pretty calm in the pocket
06:50i think uh i think you know
06:55look better last week and let's see what he looks like in this half uh kind of got a little hurried
07:00early in that in the second quarter but uh i think when he comes out of the huddle comes out from the
07:05locker room and gets the huddle by himself let's kind of see how he drives takes his field takes his
07:09team down the field and how he looks in the pocket well the jaguars are challenging that and
07:14you know i guess what you're talking about bo is not unexpected with mike mcdaniel saying hey it's
07:19going to take some time and bill is challenging to ruin on the field of a completed cut all right
07:23they say it was incomplete the jaguars they'll take a look at it but zach himself saying it's a lot to
07:28learn in this offense different from what he's done in the back look like mike himself he says hey look
07:34my my my verbiage in the huddle for a quarterback is a lot it's a lot to learn and then you've got to
07:40learn the steps and then you've got to you know then you've got to know what you know you got the
07:44receiver steps so it's a it's a lot to handle all right they'll have the review on the myrick catch

08:10myrick second stick with the dolphins we're starting to see clarity in this roster i think
08:14in you know in this game and certainly i think this really there's no surprise that quarterback
08:18position two or then zach will be the number two guy quinn ewers will be the the third guy and you
08:22know there's been some you know some people have thought maybe quinn would would creep up there but
08:26it's just pretty clear right now that that's not going to be the case
08:29that wilson was a direct target of the dolphins and free agency pass complete to taj washington
08:35that's good for a first down slaughter and coverage
08:49wilson spent last year with the broncos after those few years with the jets as the number two
08:54overall pick never played for denver last year
08:56yeah a little bit of a reclamation project here for uh for mike mcdaniel with him and i think he's a
09:03perfect coach to do it with his temperament boone gets the carry
09:11not much doing gain of only a couple
09:16but you know a lot of it's going to hinge
09:17but i think he's going to be a good coach as we've said every year on two a tongue by lois staying
09:22healthy two years ago he did last year only played 12 of the games and the dolphins really
09:27struggled when he wasn't in there yeah and then and you saw what happened when when the quarterback
09:32that you thought was ready wasn't ready to to play and then you started you know getting this guy
09:37in and that guy in and it really turned into a disaster but you know i think i think everybody
09:42feels a little better about the structure of where it is right now and i think a lot of people still i
09:47mean feel really good that two is going to be able to stay healthy and you know yeah nice catch by d
09:53eskridge you know we talked about two is saying hey d eskridge you know he he likes his response so
09:58he had a drop earlier in the game and comes right back there with a good morning trap you know lisa
10:03all these quarterbacks seem to like to throw the ball to him right you know you see him in practice you
10:07see him in the joint practices you see him in the games you know these quarterbacks they find somebody
10:13comfortable that they like they'll come back to him over and over and over
10:17gain of 21. and the dolphins have it at jaguars 30.
10:27wilson quick washington and a good game there on first down he got six yards he could downs finally
10:35made the tackle you know back to two last three years the dolphins win percentage is 588
10:41when he is the starting quarterback yeah look he knows that we talked to him this week in the
10:46production meeting and he knows job one is is to be there uh you know and uh he knows what happens
10:53when he's not and i think he's he's ready for it and i think he's kind of gone through you know how
10:58he wants to play the game especially in situations where maybe he's got to run maybe he's got to throw
11:02the ball into the ground and be safe knowing to be safe that doesn't mean he's not going to run
11:07any but he's going to run at the right times and when he does he's going to find a way to get the
11:12ground if he has to there's some of those numbers with two and without he also talked about the big
11:17changes here bo not being so results driven as a team it's about the process do the right things
11:23every day what do you think about him over these years becoming a bigger leader on this team yeah no no
11:28doubt look he's been here for a while now you know i mean so he's he's a solid veteran and he's seen
11:34what works and what doesn't work and i think like i said i think over the last couple years his leadership role
11:39on the field in that pocket has become better and better and look this wilson goes down
11:45down somebody came free yeah dula south florida man likes that sack back home
12:02just came from outside came up the field yeah untouched yeah
12:10it's hard on the quarterback when nobody puts a hand on the on the on an outside rusher
12:14especially if you're trying to roll that way
12:23he'll go on the ground with boone to get some of that yardage back inside the 25.
12:29you know i like you know some of the comments that two has made even the offseason
12:34at the ota's he brought up you know talking about the team and the development with yourself and mike mckinley said
12:40are you tired of what's happened the last five years yeah and i thought that was a really good
12:44comment by two yeah yeah i think it's just you know what you know we talk about mike in in the changing
12:52you know process of this team and i think he found a niche where he's where he can be you know
12:59he could be hard on the team and demanding on the team but still being that kind of guy that mike is you
13:06you know he's you know he's you know it's look i'm if i'm if i'm talking to you if i'm criticizing you
13:12it's only because i want to make you better and you'll coach teams can take it one way or another
13:17you can take it as now this guy doesn't like me but i think he's got the guys in here that say okay
13:21look i'm with you i'll get better and then and then he comes back and says you see i told you so it's
13:26it's it's it it feels it feels a lot better than it has in the last couple of years and i think mike
13:34and this team and tua have made some really good strides over the summer now the dolphins going for
13:39it on fourth and 16 now again we haven't seen sanders the kicker in the game wilson deep middle
13:46there is a club has got it first down and goal to go dolphins not sure he's got an in cut and he
13:55puts it right up in the air you like to get that receiver that can go up and get it that's common
14:00did that nice pass nice still nice protection
14:05gain of 17 on fourth and 16. i'm going to tell you this a lot this offensive line a lot of these
14:11guys aren't going to be here but they're giving them pretty good protection you know other than
14:16the guys that kind of last guy that slipped out there with uh with no one blocking him can i
14:21lovely made the tackle zach wilson with a good throw and pressing two and tyreek on the sideline
14:27got it at the jaguars seven boone on the carry outside he's got the edge he's got the end zone
14:39well that was just individual effort you know took it out in the corner
14:42so he could put some speed on it
14:47there's guys uh boone and champ uh boone and uh champion you know came here late but both of them
14:54have shown a little little bit of spark
14:57a good block by hayden rucci and tied in on that right side as well and now second time for a touchdown
15:05as boone dabs it up with hill and gordon dolphins will go for the two-point conversion
15:12but myrick split out at the bottom of the screen
15:15champlin will split out as well with three wide receivers
15:20wilson's got some choices but we get the flag before the snap
15:24and they'll move him back
15:30false start number seven offense will repay the charge that's on taj washington a little bit
15:37you know this is good work you know you certainly like to have your kicker available to you but
15:51since it's not i think this is good work for for zach in this situation because you just don't treat it
15:56like it's not an extra point it's just you're down in the in the red zone and you want to get the ball in
16:00the end zone wilson nine for 13 tonight 80 yards so back to the seven yard line for the two-point
16:07conversion attempt jaguars are coming wilson unloads incomplete for champlin
16:16so they don't get the two but they did go a dozen plays and they got the touchdown mike boone
16:23a recent pickup and running back and it's 14-6 miami in the third
16:44cast or any pictures descriptions or accounts of the game without the consent benefit of productions

17:08like seeing those players supporting their teammates there's everybody up for the kickoff

17:29when we talked to mike he said hey look uh this isn't something we're doing just during the
17:33during the preseason you look it's going to be all season long you'll get those guys up
17:38and i think those guys are really participants you know they want to they want to they want to
17:42they want to embrace the special teams there's a big part looks a big part of the football team
17:47oftentimes they go unnoticed but uh you know they they want to uh they want to make sure that they
17:52know that they're part two look this that's an excitable sideline down there we've seen it a number of times
17:58during the course of this preseason that is for sure especially last week when ethan robinson got that
18:03great game clinching interception whole team was out there like it was a super bowl win i was almost
18:09thought there was 30 players on the field by the time he crossed the goal line well there was yeah right
18:16as willie gage jr had a really good camp you talk about a chip on the shoulder we spoke to him
18:22into in chicago he said why miami they're the only team they wanted me they got to pull them back
18:29to get back guys got to give him he's just going to walk back up the guy that's got the worst job
18:33right now is to get back guy with really really gay down there
18:39played for the chiefs and then last year with the saints
18:43to go inside outside of that linebacker position as well
18:49they get the run there to gray boy the undrafted free agent a couple yards short of the first down
18:57yeah derrick mcclendon had to get up field there he's one of those guys that's fighting for a spot
19:08you can't play one like that and make the team
19:12it's third and short this is willie's time to get everybody fired up jordan brooks looks like it's
19:18a playoff game down there jordan looks like he wants to get in there and play now you're giving the night
19:23off yeah he got a little nicked up in the joint practice with the jaguars so they said hey let's
19:27wait till the regular season up the middle and that's a first down and a few more burpee trying to bring
19:34them down jackson able to get into dolphin territory yeah it looks like they had it bottled up and
19:40somehow he slid out there and was able to get some valuable yards
19:46middle's good
19:46miss tackle and then you get the get a guy with momentum it's hard when you're going sideways patrick
19:56mcmorris one of those a pick last year at a cal trying to make this team in that safety position
20:05cam smith now in the game in corner for miami
20:08little play action hennigan out in the flat that's a completion and then
20:20mick morris unable to haul down morris the tight end so a gain of about eight
20:25a gain of about eight you can't just come up random and jumping you've got to kind of plant your feet
20:38give yourself a two-way go even if you give an extra that's a tackle like that gives him an extra four
20:43five yards just can't do it
20:57pressure here and again by some time lofts one down field incomplete
21:02too far for everybody is receiver cam camper was the intended man
21:07it was mcclendon coming around the corner again he can rush a passer
21:14you know we've uh we've heard a couple times they say maybe the best pure pass rusher on this team
21:27you know he's another one of those guys said dave what are you doing he said no one else wanted me
21:33college ball at florida state and in colorado
21:37it's on that practice squad last year there's that strength at that edge position
21:42you look at chubb and chop and jalen phillips now another pre-snap flag comes in
21:53delay game offense number 15. five yard penalty third back
21:58so there's the way backs him up by five
22:16Bradley chubb and chop robinson waving to somebody over there they're having fun that's for sure
22:21all the players and coach mike mcdaniel talk a little about more you know resolve to handle adversity
22:29that comes with the season i think we talked a lot about that with him and i think he's he feels like
22:35he's got a team that you know can can you know you're gonna have some you're gonna have some slumps
22:40you're gonna have some problems during the course of the season and and you're just gonna have to fight
22:45through them and i think he said he said he's confident that he's got a team right now that's
22:51got the resiliency and the attitude to do this mcclendon made the tackle there
22:56yeah they're all out there all those defensive guys there's chubb there's chop there's phillips
23:04that's what we're talking about
23:08so the jaguars will punt from the 47 they could have tried one with little yeah yeah in his range
23:14about 65 they decide to punt a.j henning is deep heading a fair catch inside his own 15.

25:40beat them down here and then we still cry about that muddy field well you guys took the hoses out

25:49you know i talked to uh this is shatlin with a big hole gets to the 15. i talked to marty lions
25:55uh when we were in new york last week he says you know he says uh he was so he's talking about the
26:00game and all the you know the the mud you know he took freeman mcneil and wesley walker out of the
26:05game and you know by the way richard todd throw through three interceptions to his best receiver
26:12what a day for aj now remember the jets came close with parcells they had that lead
26:17against denver yeah but other than that not much doing
26:21dolphins after the opener against indianapolis three in a row inside the afc east here's ewers
26:31over the middle complete armstrong's got the first down
26:38andrew armstrong the undrafted free agent calls it in for the seventh round draft pick ewers again at 21.
26:44yeah you were so comfortable in the pocket you know they want to throw to that spot
26:48you know the receiver just making his break you can see it right there
26:52comes into the picture and makes fun that's you know both those both of those quarterbacks zach
26:57and ewers have talked about how you've got to throw somewhere where you see the safety
27:03you don't see the receiver and it's kind of uncomfortable but you see how it works when they
27:06get the timing down yeah had some of the elements of texas of this dolphin's offense for ewers
27:12golfers golfers like his demeanor he's a cool customer in the words of offensive coordinator frank smith
27:21champlin on the carry again along with boone picked up once you know a chan went out of the
27:26lineup and a needed running back his old team texas ranked number one i think it's the first time
27:31that they've been preseason number one a long history college football getting underway
27:51next weekend here at hard rock stadium with dolphins off big game iamny notre dame
27:56fans fans whether it's the tropics or your neighborhood nobody tracks south florida weather
28:03like the cbs news miami next weather team always tracking always alerting next weather only on cbs

34:56Like, the group we have, like, really, the depth that we have.
34:59But especially, you know, that group, bringing Trudeon in.
35:02Like, we have a lot of, like, depth, like I said.
35:04And just a lot of talented guys.
35:05So, it's fun to be able to mix things up and, you know, be on the field and boys, for sure.
35:09Heard a lot this offseason about how close this team has gotten.
35:12But when I watch you guys, like, Derek McClendon gets a sack.
35:15And you guys are running out there on the field.
35:17How close is that group exactly?
35:18I mean, we're extremely close.
35:19We spend a lot of time in the facility, outside of the facility, on the practice field.
35:24We have a lot of love for each other when we play for each other.
35:26And I think that's a really important thing with a team.
35:28So, yeah, I mean, seeing guys like D-Mac ball out, Cam, Grayson, you know, even, like, Chop,
35:33like, the guys in our starting groups.
35:34It's just fun to be out there with them boys.
35:36And I think the closer the bond that you can have with them, the tighter of the team that
35:40you're going to be.
35:41Last one.
35:41How excited are you for week one?
35:43I'm so excited for week one, man.
35:45It's been a long couple of years.
35:46And I'm just excited to get out there.

36:14I mean, this guy, two seasons cut short, no fault of his own.
36:19And he's come back stronger every time.
36:22And look, the resilience for a guy to go through that, I mean, that's been tough.
36:26You stay away from these teams.
36:27You want injured reserve.
36:28You're just kind of like, you know, you're not even, you're a part of the team, but you're
36:32not.
36:33And so I'm excited to see what he's going to do this year.
36:36Again, he came back stronger than he was last year.
36:38And then with Chubb on the other side, that team's a good, you know, the other thing about
36:43Jalen Phillips is, you know, he's one of those, he's a quality guy.
36:48He's one of those guys that's a Walter Payton man of the year, Canada.
36:53One of those kind of guys.
36:53A community guy, a guy that's, you know, he's good with everybody, he's good with people,
36:58and he wants to be around people.
37:00And so, you know, I'm just hoping the best for him and he can have a healthy season and
37:05just see how good he can be to get a full 17 games in.
37:09And so big for that Dolphins defense.
37:11That front seven, if they're healthy, there's a lot of versatility and a lot of talent there
37:16for coordinator Anthony Weaver.
37:17Viewers, after the first down completion of Boone, goes down on the sack.
37:26They protect him early, but they have nowhere to throw the football, and, you know, that's what the result is.

38:04You know, you talk about the starts.
38:06You know, he spoke to Mike McDaniel, and, you know, he even noted, hey, those first two years,
38:10remember, they started the season 3-0.
38:12Very good start since Mike McDaniel took over as coach.
38:15Of course, last year, five days into the season, Tua Tungvaluwa went down, and things went downhill from there.
38:23Yeah.
38:23And then, look, everybody knows that.
38:26And I think everybody on this team, especially on the offensive side, knows they've got to protect Tua.
38:32You know, their offensive line has to the bat, the fullbacks, the people that block for him need to do it.
38:37But Tua needs to protect himself, and so they've got to figure out a way because, you know, like we saw last year,
38:43and then, look, I can say this about just about any team in the National Football League.
38:48When you lose your starting quarterback, it's an uphill climb from there.
38:51Right.
38:51You know, very few teams have been able to pick up the, you know, pick up this, you know, 49ers did it with Josh Purdy.
38:59And, but, you know, it shows the importance of, and I think Tua is the guy that I think has learned most that he's got to be there,
39:08he's got to be available for this football team, and he talks about it every time you kind of run across him saying something.
39:14So, I think he's, if he's in here for 17 weeks, I think this team's got a pretty good shot.

39:24The Jaguars will start with nine and a half left of the fourth.
39:28Healers, Jalen Phillips, while Mike Cugno is hitting him up for snacks on the sideline.
39:43You look at that Dolphins' edge position.
39:45They're absolutely loaded there.
39:47Yeah, look, if those guys all stay healthy, you're going to put a lot of numbers up when it comes to sack.
39:52And, you know, bringing in Matthew Jude on the way, a four-time pro bowler, 37 and a half career sacks from him.
39:58And he's actually had, like, his last two years, he was injured one year, you know, had five and a half sacks last year, not Jude on like.
40:04I know he wants to make more hay this time, but, and like Jordan Phillips said, Jalen Phillips said,
40:11you can mix these guys around, and, you know, there's a lot of opportunity to get in the backfield.
40:18So, you know, create, look, even if you're not, even if you're not getting him down, creating havoc that causes problems in the cornerback,
40:25and then those inside backers, I think this front seven on this defense, to me, is really, is, is, is probably the best unit on this team on both sides of the football.
40:35And I think it's going to be very, it's, with Anthony Weaver, it is going to be fun to watch.
40:39Like, it's going to be very effective all year long.
40:42And he's got a lot at his disposal, certainly, Chop Robinson.
40:45You know, the rookie last year really came on as a season one along, and they kind of rebuilt that defensive line in the draft.
40:53Led by Kenneth Grant, the first rounder.
40:55There's a big stick, and it's broken up.
40:59B.J. Adams, the undrafted free agent from Central Florida.
41:04Yeah, and he's puffing up a little bit.
41:05He should.
41:06That was a nice hit.

41:16That's how you get the, that's one of those, look, you're probably not going to be on this team, but you got that on tape.

41:46You know, it seems, Bo, like it's pretty set at corner with Storm Dug, Jack Jones starting, maybe Jason Marshall Jr. in the slot.
41:58But I'll ask you this, Tuesday's a cut down day.
42:01Yeah.
42:01Hard to put a number on it, I know, but do you think there will be a number of players that the Dolphins bring in that may be on the roster in two weeks in the regular season that aren't on the roster tonight?
42:12Well, I think the majority of the roster is set.
42:15I think they're happy with who they've got.
42:17I think if there's movement, if it's going to be like, I think it's going to be in the secondary.
42:20You know, maybe try to get somebody who maybe is a little bit better than one of the guys they have.
42:25But, you know, the one thing they've talked about is they're happy with the technique they're playing.
42:30They're happy with the way they're working.
42:32But I think there's, you know, there's a, look, there's a little bit of a talent drop-off from where we've been used to being.
42:39You know, you lose a guy like Jalen Ramsey.
42:41You lose some of those guys.
42:42You know, it's hard to replace them.
42:45But I do think there's going to be somebody there in that secondary, maybe one or two guys that aren't on this field right now.
42:55Well, unfortunately, Asante is down for the Dolphins.
42:59That's Eugene Asante, undrafted free agent out of Auburn, the linebacker in discomfort here in the fourth quarter.
43:07They're able to get off the field, but, well, he was emotional coming off.
43:12And they'll look at him on the sideline.
43:17You know, those guys trying to either make this team or make another team.
43:20And a late preseason injury.
43:22Here he is walking off the field.
43:24You see the emotion, Bo, and you see the teammates going over, too.
43:27And I said, Terrell Dotson, kind of go back where the 10 is and kind of, you know, want to be there when he came by.
43:34And it's tough.
43:35Like I said, it's those relationships you make.
43:38They're, you know, they're, they're, they're lifetime relationships.
43:41You need to see it happen.
43:42So, you know, we've been talking about the team and how close it is.
43:45Look at the sideline.
43:46Look at all the veterans that are standing on the sideline in the, you know, in the last eight minutes of a third preseason game.
43:54They're still, it's still engaged.
43:55They're still, you know, you know, backing up their guys that are on the field.
43:59They're, they're, you know, engaged with them.
44:01And, you know, it's, it's, it's kind of what we've been talking about all preseason with the, the bonds and, you know, and, and, and the, the, the caring that they have for the, for the other players on the team is, um, you can see it right here, right now.
44:13Well, Mike McDaniel feels that, you know, this team has grown.
44:16They're more emotionally mature to handle, you know, adversity.
44:21And, by the way, in training camp, you know, McDaniel has intentionally put some adversity in front of these guys.
44:28Just, you know, it's going to be some struggles.
44:32Let's see how they respond.
44:34So interesting by Mike McDaniel, who, by his own admission, is always evolving.
44:38He's always changing.
44:40Yeah, we talked about it, talked about that before the first, uh, preseason game.
44:48And he talked about just his, his process from last year to this year, going over everything he did.
44:55So do you like what he did, what he didn't like, what he did, things that he wanted to, to, uh, to improve on.
45:01And, and I think we've seen, I think, you know, I think we've seen an improvement, you know, and hopefully that improvement, you know, plays out, uh, well, especially in the, you know, you've got a really great opportunity in the beginning of the season with the way the schedule sets up for you to get off to another quick start.
45:17Like you talked about, uh, you know, for the last couple, for the couple of years prior to last year.
45:21And, uh, so that opportunity's there for him, but they've just got to go out there and take it.
45:26Yeah, you start in Indy, then the Thursday at Buffalo, then a couple of home games, the Patriots and the Jets to finish up September.
45:33McDaniel in his fourth year as head coach, 19th season overall in the NFL.
45:43Short game there on first down for the Jaguars.
45:45There's that early season schedule.
45:48Two of them at home.
45:49But first up, you go to Indianapolis, and I feel like, well, we've talked about this.
45:53If you're going to be a good team, you can be a playoff team.
45:56That's a game you've got to win.
45:57No doubt.
45:58Now, that team, they don't know what their, their quarterback situations and flux, and, you know, they're, they're a team that, you know, they're certainly, look, they're an NFL team.
46:06And then there's that, you know, every, every given Sunday.
46:09But, but that is a team.
46:11And then, you know, look, New England's gotten better.
46:13I think New England's gotten better over the, in the offseason.
46:15They had some good free agents, had a good draft.
46:17Most of the offensive line a bit.
46:20And the Jets, you know, the Jets have, they've got a lot of good players in their team.
46:23They just can't find them.
46:25They haven't found a way to, to, to get them working.
46:27So, but that opportunity, when you look at that, it is certainly there for you in making.
46:32So, closing in on five minutes to go in the preseason, Jaguars now in Dolphins territory for the third and three.
46:45Seth Hennigan remains in that quarterback.
46:47Throws complete, and that's a first down to Herbert.
46:56Tackle made by Cameron Dantzler, who was picked up this week by the Dolphins at defensive back.
47:01First time as Mike McDaniel's head coaching career, he'll have the same defensive coordinator for a couple of years in a row, and Anthony Weaver.
47:18The other thing I'm, I'm looking forward to is looking, watching this offensive line, and like I said earlier, that you hope that Austin Jackson's available to come, come back for, you know, for the opener and, and be healthy.
47:32And to, and to, and to see that off, because I don't think Tua's been able to play behind what I perceive this offensive line to become.
47:40You know, obviously, Savai and I has got to, you know, kind of, he's got to get his feet underneath him, but Paul's great, you know, so that whole offensive line, to me, will be his best chance.
47:50And, you know, if they can work out, it's, you know, another, just another step to make it a little bit better for Tua, a little more time in the pocket.
47:59And you get those two receivers running down the field, and the guys that are, that are backing him up, there could be some good things coming.
48:05Then, then we got to see the, the tight end situation, and, you know, see what Darren Waller is.
48:10We haven't seen him do very much at all, and then they're going to roll the dice and just bring him out on, on day one, on week one, you know.
48:19There's the starting offensive line.
48:20It's funny you talk about McDaniel.
48:22He says Savaii Nye is one of the top five most focused players he's ever coached, he told us yesterday.
48:28Of course, I had to ask, so who were the most focused?
48:31He took a while to answer.
48:32He said London Fletcher, John Lynch, Matt Ryan, and Tua's right up there.
48:37But I'll tell you what, if those five are healthy, that unit with the coaching this team has, they've got a chance to be effective.
48:43I got to think six weeks in, Savaii Nye is going to start showing you what they've expected, what they expected when they, when they, when they moved up to draft.
48:51Flagg comes in and Stille chased Hennegan out of bounds, flag in the Jacksonville backfield.

49:06There's a look at the O-line, and, you know, Waller is in uniform tonight, went through warm-up.
49:16So, when you're speaking about the tight end position, Julian Hill also did not play tonight.
49:21Yep.
49:21But it's going to be real interesting to see, you know, Darren Waller, I mean, there's a lot of talent, a pro-ball guy, and, you know, out of retirement, they made the trade with the Giants.
49:31It'll be real curious to see what he brings to the table in two weeks in that opener against the Colts.
49:38Well, so your tight ends are going to probably be Darren Waller, Jonah Hill, Farrell Brown, and Tanner Conner.
49:43I think that's what, you know, that's what it's going to end up being.
49:45And, you know, Conner's shown some flashes in the preseason, but, you know, you'd like to see him be the kind of guy that they expect to be athletic.
49:53And, you know, Waller, you know, you look at him, he's been away from the game for a while, and I'll tell you what, that guy looks like a specimen.
50:01You know, I mean, he is, he's built for the game, he knows how to play the game, he's known how to be successful.
50:08Just see if he can shake that rust off of being out for a little bit over a year, and maybe a half.
50:15And the connection there as Harris gets to the 30, with two and a half to go, he had those big years with the Raiders, with Frank Smith, who is the Dolphins' offensive coordinator.
50:25And Frank Smith, you know, thinks the world of him, and it's one of those kind of, hey, if he can even come close to getting back to what he was, what a weapon, because you already have a lot of weapons on this offense.
50:39There's a number of times during this preseason where Frank comes over and talks to him one-on-one.
50:45And, you know, who knows what they're talking about, but, you know, certainly it's hard.
50:49And for the second straight week, the Dolphins' defense comes up with a linked pick.

54:49Hopefully it doesn't come to fruition, but the quarterback's behind Tua, Wilson and you.
54:54Yeah, I like it, you know, obviously Tua, you know, you want to have him in there the whole season.
54:59But I think, you know, I think they're stacking up right.
55:02You know, I think that you've got, you know, Zach Wilson, he's got the experience that he's got just being in the league and going through what he's gone through.
55:09I think that's going to be valuable for him.
55:11And I think Mike McDaniel is the coach that can really kind of get him rehabilitated to a point.
55:17And then you've got a young guy in yours that seems to be a promising quarterback that he can sit back and learn.
55:23And so I think it stacks up the way, if you wanted to design a way of getting some young quarterbacks involved,
55:30I think it's a pretty good setup with some guys that are really, really want to get better and really want to be a part of a good football team.
