00:00receiver and they are feeling very good about their team maybe most importantly for seattle
00:05as we've not talked about them yet their running attack has been the best in the nfl in the
00:11preseason and they've got a new offensive coordinator and that is by design kevin i feel
00:17like too many sacks for their football team last year in fact they were 54 sacks for a team in
00:23comparison the green bay packers were only 22 sacks last year so more than double the sacks
00:28they feel like they need to get back to running the football let their big men up front get the
00:34punches thrown on the defensive side first so that they can feel some momentum themselves rather than
00:39retreating the whole game and that run game has really shown up for them this preseason today's

01:09be malik willis who uh is coming off a game in indianapolis john six of 14 83 yards yes and when
01:17malik willis has played in the preseason and they have not had penalties they have moved the football
01:22unfortunately for malik willis and his statistics they haven't been too good because a lot of the
01:27good plays have gone in reverse because of holding and false starts
01:31running back will be josh jacobs and it's first and 10 for green bay from their 35
01:39and the call and the cut getting a block on the play and takes it up to the 40 yard line the block
01:49came from their first round pick matthew golden out of texas on a gain of five it'll be second down and
01:56five nice hole there on the left side of the offensive line saw tucker craft getting into his
02:02man rashid walker working a combo block up to the second level and that was a nice hole here on first
02:07down the center is sean ryan and that offensive line will definitely be something we're going to
02:16watch it's second down and five it's short and incomplete and they were going for the tied end
02:22on that shallow cross luke musgrave who by the way is coming off a terrific joint practice on
02:28thursday against the seattle defense yeah everything about luke musgrave is health and availability he's
02:34been limited in his first two years here in green bay and tucker craft has taken that tight end one
02:39roll by storm but luke musgrave adds an element to the tight end position of being able to stretch
02:44the field they love the fact that he's healthy and able to do that this year it's a good seeing
02:48rasheed walker at the left tackle first preseason action he's had willis on third down and five
02:55crumbling pocket and downfield and it was picked off on the play they say it was grabbed right there
03:02coming the other way is okada tie okada who's out of montana state makes the grab interception
03:1121 yard return on the field turnover for green by the defense first down seattle
03:18the previous play is under review look like the ball got away you get an assist by the ground right
03:28that's going to get overturned and listen malik willis there sees the tight or sees malik willis
03:33one-on-one with the linebacker they're in tampa too there that linebacker has to run the middle of
03:37the football field he likes that matchup malik heath versus a linebacker the only problem is he didn't
03:43have a lot of room that was great coverage there by the seattle defender and that forced the overthrow
03:48an almost interception so it'll be an incomplete pass we think when they take a look at it we'll step
03:56aside less than a minute into the game here at lambeau and creek
04:00well they've given the kid an interception and i don't know how you can't assume anything here
04:10you can't assume anything here that thing looked pretty clear that it bounced off the ground
04:16and matt lafleur talking to the refs about he's not happy with the call
04:19and you tell me kevin i mean it looks like it hits the ground there but the rest don't think so
04:26jaylen milro is the quarterback on first and ten handoff here to martinez one of the three running
04:34backs trying to make his name on this team and he is stymied right there no gain on the play
04:40it'll be second down in ten so geno smith has been the quarterback for the last couple years he is now
04:47gone they have gone with sam donald who will not play today and they draft jaylen milro in the third
04:54round out of alabama yeah and i'll tell you don't put sam donald out here today because he looked great
04:59and some of his opportunities at practice the other day and his connection with jackson smith and
05:05jigba already seems to be in mid-season form now we get to see the youngster jaylen milro
05:10kallarup the rookie free agent out of minnesota the tied end makes the catch they're into green
05:17bay territory pickup of 12 on the plane it'll be first and 10 so they have thrown an interception
05:23malik willis even though replay looked like that was not the case but a 12-yard
05:29pass to the tight end here they go first down and 10
05:33and again damian martinez a rookie out of miami is the back and milro who can run with the best of
05:41them on the move and downfield and incomplete looking for tarik young a wide receiver it'll be
05:49second down and 10 with the coverage by javon bullard you can see the challenge the packer's
05:55defense is going to have with milro right he's got some speed he can get outside of the pocket
06:00obviously good coverage there by the packard secondary and good pressure there out of bullard
06:06to get in there and listen bulls does a lot of stuff for this package defense and one thing that
06:11i think is very underrated about his game is the effectiveness that he can make when being sent on a
06:16rush here's a second down and 10
06:19jacardi a right a rookie out of missouri state is the one to take it the packers are seeing some
06:27other starters in there there's a look at one of them right there isaiah mcduffie
06:31quay walker is in the lineup lucas van ness is in the lineup nixon playing one of the corners
06:37brooks on the line a smattering of starters all over the deep
06:40just population all over the line of scrimmage right there by this packers defense and it's
06:46something that as practice went on on thursday seattle started breaking some runs they have ran
06:51very successfully in this preseason it's third down and eight for jaylen milro
06:57got the block crumbling pocket and taken down
07:01quay walker firing through makes the grab back at the seattle 46
07:07it'll be fourth down there goes walker comes up with a big play been battling an ankle
07:14and they lose seven here comes the punting unit for the seahawks a nice pressure here sending edrin
07:19cooper quay walker eyeing up milro just in case he escapes and right there to be on the spot when he
07:26steps through the offensive line michael dixon the veteran out of texas will punt for seattle deep
07:34back is mccall hardman for green bay
07:36and with the wind blowing on this 70 degree afternoon
07:44the land at the seven inside the five and down near the four hang time was good the bounce was great
07:51and placement was perfect packers will get it for a second time on a 50 yard punt with no score from
07:58lambo packers defense holds walker comes up with the big play and now the packers relegated after a
08:06good seattle punt at the four with the starting lineup aside from the right guard in there on the line
08:12although a lot of moving parts as john was saying before the game only two positions are rock solid and known
08:20right now with a first and ten malik willis is under center and the call here to chris brooks who moves the
08:27pile gives him some running space out to the 11 yard line nice blocking ahead led by the right tackle

09:10these guys just have the knack of being able to position their body in the right place to be able
09:16to make the catch some guys they continue to run and let let him shield you away from the football
09:22great job there by the first round no kidding they talk about his focus brooks the back first and ten
09:29brooks cutting outside he spun off a tackle and he was getting a block out there by today's starting
09:34right guard donovan jennings so they've got let's get your thoughts on the line now walker is going to be
09:40at the left tackle today uh jordan morgan is the left guard and they got ryan last year's right guard
09:46starter now at center yeah and and so many moving pieces right now especially with the banks injury
09:52at left guard so trying to figure out your best personnel going into the regular season is very
09:57important but the only two positions we know locked down right now are right tackle with tom and center
10:02for up jenkins it's brooks on second down and three wrapped up and taken down not a whole lot there
10:08hit by a couple on the play including drake thomas
10:14and a player down for the seahawks at about the 44
10:19with 9.36 to go here in the first quarter backers are on the move seahawks have a player down and we step
10:27beside
10:33seahawks had two players down defensive back nehemiah pritchett he's out of auburn he's had a strong
10:39preseason people think he's going to make the final 53 and then jared ivy who's a rookie free agent out of
10:46mississippi projected fifth rounder rookie free agent he walks off under his own power as brooks on that
10:53third down play third and three can only carve a yard they got this great position on the pass to
11:00matthew golden 39 yards and now they got a fourth and two john coon and patrick o'connell the middle
11:08linebacker that forced that interception earlier in the ball game now filling the hole really nicely
11:14there for the seahawks being able to keep this to a fourth and two
11:19odds is in golden also receiver fourth down and two brooks is the back fourth and two blocked by tom
11:27time for willis he does this well he's got the first down on the clock
11:32takes it down to the 35 yard line gain a seven outside this is what he did so effectively when he
11:39came in last year when love was injured getting two green bay wins and gets the first on the run
11:45yeah you can see here in the replay pretty good coverage by seattle getting sticky
11:51in the underneath coverage and then malik willis just doing what malik willis does gets out of the
11:56pocket breaks it takes what's given to him there you don't want to see your quarterbacks taking a
12:01lot of hits in the preseason but at some point in time you just gotta play football emmanuel wilson is
12:06the new back it's first and ten for willis through a pick the first possession moving well here 36
12:12of the seahawks and this is wilson as he digs his way marshall lloyd high pick last year out of sc
12:19only played one game as rookie because of injuries is injured again so now would you say that brooks
12:25and wilson are the backups as we sit here today yeah i would say that injury last week does not look
12:31to be one that's just going to be recovered very quickly and i think it pretty much secured
12:36brooks and emmanuel wilson to for sure be here and get some good action early on in the football
12:41season for this green bay offense
12:45it's second down and seven dobbs is in motion willis will get the high snap and once again it's
12:51off to wilson then he has an avalanche of guys on him including a second tackle made by linebacker
12:58drake thomas who came over from the raiders a couple years ago we talked to the offensive coordinator
13:03adam stenovich earlier this week he says i still don't like where we're at offensively john and it's
13:09because offensively they've had so many starters and key players out that they haven't gotten the
13:15practice they haven't gotten the reps the good side of that is you've got a lot of tape to evaluate
13:20your backups and you feel pretty strongly about what you have there and what you know in your backups but
13:26listen you'd rather have your starting team your starting offensive line figured out
13:31and that rapport with george love timeout wide receivers green bay packers just took a timeout
13:37it's a 30 second time i want to go back if i can john to something we talked about to open the broadcast
13:41about the joint practices one of the reasons coaches prefer these joint practices and there was one
13:47this week with seattle last week in indy with the colts is they can script and you talked about this
13:52they can script scenarios to assure they get the work in things such as short yard situations or or
13:58two-minute drills while controlling the action trying to prevent injuries and for example jordan
14:04love could not play in this ball game because of the surgery that he had just a little over a week ago
14:11but yet he could take place in some of the joint practice periods because he could hold on to the
14:16football instead of actually having to take a snap so you can get work with your starting quarterback and
14:22his receivers during some periods even though it wasn't a lot of work and then you can also script
14:27up some plays that you don't want to show for the tv copies so that people don't steal them backers
14:32started at their four now at the 32 yard line of seattle third and six willis again on the move has the
14:39first down it's a completed pass it's caught by malik heath he grabs it for 10 on that third and six and
14:47green bay a first down to the 22 yard line of seattle i like how malik heath there pushes it up
14:55the field and when he breaks his cut he he stays friendly what i mean by that is kevin he works his
15:00way straight down the line or even back to the line of scrimmage ensuring that he has an option for
15:05malik willis to go to with the football so on this drive a run of seven yards by the initial running back
15:11brooks they got golden for 39 through the air willis a first down run a seven heath for ten here's a
15:17first and ten handoff and that much there for wilson o'toole was on there on the play and again a two
15:26at second down and eight for green bay and a scoreless first the other thing about the marshall
15:30avoid injury to how it pertains to the entire offense is now the packers coaches are trying to
15:35decide do we still stick with four running backs is it going to be izzy abanaconda is it going to be
15:41omar johnson or do we pick up another wide receiver do we do we keep an extra tight end
15:46it really makes the decision making different as they go into roster cutdown
15:53willis is much more in the playbook now after joining the team earlier last season
15:57wilson got the fake second down and eight and off the fingertips and incomplete golden
16:03we hit the coverage in the secondary by shaquille griffin a veteran
16:06so it's now third down and about seven seven and a half to go as they're going for the first round
16:13pick golden golden had a step there on the defense just a touch past his outstretched fingers right
16:21there oh man the first rounder is so fast sometimes it's hard to get that timing down with them because
16:28he's going across the field so quickly he has the fastest 40 time on the team 4.29
16:36it's third down and seven
16:39raise to the air tom with the block at the right tackle finds a gap and here he goes again
16:45inside the 10 first down run to the six forced out of play by griffin 13-yard run
16:51and earlier he had a first down run a seven first and goal green bay
16:58double mug with their inside linebackers they drop into coverage and that's just unfair
17:02right there for drake thomas the linebacker you're in the open field he can go left he can go right
17:06malik willis can run like a running back in the nfl makes a simple cut gets himself a first down
17:11continues to drive they have really worked with him trying to stay in the pocket and
17:16really dig into this book couple tied ends first and goal
17:21and willis brooks cuts and submarines down to the one hit by a couple including demarian williams
17:33second down and goal good hard nose run right there by emmanuel wilson a little duo play man on a man
17:41work a couple double teams at the line of scrimmage but work the line of scrimmage down the field
17:44you know when you go outside there there's going to be a corner waiting so you got to get your pads
17:48down and get vertical up the football field good job by wilson on that one packers in the quick trip
17:54red zone second down goal willis for the year to the end zone and incomplete with flags thrown going
18:01for dives coverage by denarian williams he is on the bubble for the seahawks a team that finished
18:0910 and 7 last year pass interference defense number 37 false place at the one yard line automatic first
18:16down it'll be first and goal again
18:21rome has been their fade guy here around the end zone the last couple years for this packers offense
18:27malik willis got to get that ball up just a little bit more he's got to get it higher it's got to go up
18:31come back down so that dobbs can go over the defender and catch it nonetheless good job drawing the flag
18:36wilson back there and caught touchdown heath to dobbs malik willis grabs it on a laser throne

20:02preseason actually he's had a fantastic preseason minus a drop in the first preseason game and a back
20:08injury around week two that hampered a little bit of his time on the field but he's had a great camp so
20:14far and i'm looking forward to big things out of him this season mcnamie's kick
20:20it is in the end zone they'll go to a knee right there and a touchback picked up by tyler hall
20:26mcnamie is from ireland he's part of that international pathway that the league has made
20:32available to players overseas dobbs the catch hackers back on defense we talked with
20:38the defensive coordinator halfway the other day and uh he thought that the physical practice on
20:46thursday was a good indication about what he wants this offense to or rather this green bay defense to
20:52be he did mention one thing that bothered him when it got a little frisky when the fighting started
20:57they got a little undisciplined and they started losing on the field the physicality was there it's
21:03always a must but you got to play within yourself when it gets chaotic jaylen milrow with anthony tyers
21:08is the running back and on first and ten they'll swing it on size and the catch is made by the former
21:15packer marquez valdez scantling he was a fifth round bit by green bay gain of one right there with our

22:12talking to john schneider the general manager for the seahawks and and he said you need to get back to
22:18running the football that's the identity they feel like they are best suited for
22:22and they ran it at practice they've been running it all three seasons but the package defense has
22:26been doing a good job against it so far no row third down and seven they get him from behind cox jumped on
22:31his back brenton cox and then picked up right there loose ball enigbare are they signaling there yes they are
22:40touchdown on a turnover by seattle enigbare jumped up got that loose ball big hit in there by brenton cox
22:51cox is the one to pry it free enigbare is the one to vacuum it in
23:04they call that one kind of meet at the quarterback on three they brought a nice little
23:13rush there out of tyron hopper up the middle that put a hat in every gap there and pressure
23:19up the middle for young quarterbacks is always the hardest you feel like you can't step up in a pocket
23:24went down by contact at the 30 yard line it's first down green bay well that's that's two reviews
23:30the one that didn't go away they looked at and started for a half hour and this one they just
23:34make up the lines in two seconds so it is a fumble but cox is the one brenton cox
23:41who is picking up where he left off he was a incredible defensive machine
23:46for the packers his last season was going down with turnovers forced and sacks last four games he
23:54was almost unstoppable and brenton cox comes up with the big big play he's the one 57 to jar it free
24:02and brenton cox is one of those guys he just has a really mean disposition about him when he's out
24:07there get ready but he can have some snap crackle and pop to his game he can drive linemen back he can
24:14hit quarterbacks he can pop tight ends you know trying to come back and seal block on him so he
24:19brings that really physical element at a reserve rush end because we know packers love to sub their
24:26guys on the outside whether it's for sean gary in igbari cox lucas vaness they have options there
24:33abana conda is the new running back and the new quarterback is sean clifford first and ten after
24:39the turnover outside he goes and getting the catch here from cornelius johnson who all of a
24:46sudden has emerged as a guy that could make a difference no gain on the catch nothing on the
24:52play and the tackle was made by williams cornelius johnson a seventh round pick by the chargers last
24:59year yeah and kevin when we talked with packers coaches it wasn't just the game last week at
25:06indianapolis where he made a couple great catches using his hands across the middle he's been doing
25:10it every day getting better knowing this assignment knows where he's supposed to be he's a guy they
25:15feel like they can trust at the back of that wide receiver jump on the loose ball as he had it
25:22knocked away drake thomas was in the vicinity and may have pried it free a linebacker and a defensive
25:29player for seattle and abana conda is holding on to his left arm he's trying to carry that ball high
25:39and tight unfortunately the hand there out of singleton those defensive linemen those hands are
25:44humongous they're like bricks when they come down on the football you really when you're in traffic
25:48got to get that second hand across that football hardman in motion new quarterback is clifford who was a
25:55record setter in the big ten at penn state dumps it off abana conda will take it down to the 30 and
26:01once again hit by thomas and picks up six to the seahawk 30 and the packers facing fourth down will send
26:08their field goal unit out onto the field after retrieving a fumble by the seahawks deep in seattle
26:17territory safe play calling out one kevin things are getting a little chaotic you got some subs in the game
26:23trying to calm them down get that screen called get some yards back here make it a little bit
26:27easier of a field goal potentially pop that thing get yourself a first down nonetheless good job by
26:32clifford executing that brandon mcmanus will try a 48 yard field goal with some win at lambeau and it is
26:39perfect he has had an absolutely sensational camp for matt lafour they get three on the turnover and now they've got a
26:4910-0 lead over the seahawks who last year went 10 and seven after beginning the season three and oh
26:56mcmanus uh was at the tail end of what was what seven eight different kickers over a year and a
27:02half he came in october last year solidified the position won a couple games here he is having an
27:08incredible camp and kevin could you could you imagine coming into a team and then your first game
27:14you pick a game-winning field goal it's got to be an outstanding feeling right unbelievable goes
27:19over there and does a lambo leap and in german i think they call that a lambo sprung we learned
27:25that i took eight years of german so you're right yeah is that right yeah yeah yeah and we know three
27:29words but we know we're what they're watching us over there today right replays today are presented
27:37by ticketmaster anzo mcnamee who had some visa issues coming in he kicked in the canadian football
27:48league earlier this year he played gaelic football gaelic football in ireland which combines basketball
27:56rugby and soccer and here he is now kicking in the nfl and here is the return and it's by the running
28:05back tyus who will take it up past the 35 and he gets brought down on the play by tyron herring
28:12who's a rookie free agent for green bay out of delaware there's a look at brandon mcmanis 28 yard
28:19return milro has it again first and ten seattle and the starting defense went out there or at least
28:25the starters that are healthy went out there got themselves a stop the offense got out there
28:31moved the football down and got to touch that they're both going to the reserves now on both
28:35sides but a lot of battles to watch throughout this ball game martino is on first and ten wrapped up as
28:40he took it inside cox falls on him but all kinds of traffic in there hard to deal with and a gain of
28:47a yard it'll be second down and nine so they're looking for a third running back this seattle team is
28:57of course they've got zach charbonnet who may be the number one then they got kenneth walker but
29:02they're going to run so much as bobo's in motion it'll be second down and nine
29:10and everybody on the move right there quarter showing zeros on the clock and there's a look at cox

29:40has come to a close packers on top as they cash in on a fumble by seattle and they get a one yard

29:5570 degree day here in green bay not far lake michigan some of the numbers in our first quarter
30:04final pre-season game the packers will take on the detroit lions about this time two weeks from
30:12sunday in the season opener here at lambeau and we we talked with a lot of coaches throughout this
30:19pre-season of how this start really feels for them it's gonna be matt lefort's first home
30:25opener hasn't had that before does that feel better does that feel different also you got two games
30:32within the first five days of the season a lot of stuff's gonna be different as they start this
30:37regular season as opposed to years past on the first play of the second quarter it's a pass to
30:42valdez scantling the former packer seattle is his 15 they pick up five it'll now be third down to nine

31:27seeing on film when you watch the first two preseason games for the seattle seahawks that's
31:33what the run game looked like now in the first quarter our defense did a great job of filling
31:37those gaps filling those holes only five rush yards for seattle in the first quarter
31:42this is not what you necessarily wanted here a nine yard game to set up a fourth and a couple inches
31:49you've seen him go to the air a couple times and mike mcdonald the coach
31:54gone wide receiver dk metcalf he's with aaron rogers in pittsburgh gone is tyler lockett gone the
32:01tight end no offense
32:06and by the way milrow like we said a third round pick out of alabama john they're going to keep three
32:11quarterbacks they're going to of course go with sam darnold his backup will be drew lock but they
32:17drafted milrow a great runner with a strong arm in the third round for a reason yeah because they
32:22want to develop him into a professional quarterback an nfl quarterback you know what type of athleticism
32:27this young man has and i'm sure they'll they'll try and eventually create some packages for him that
32:32he can use his legs but right now it's sam donald starts staying off play in timing like you did in
32:40minnesota he did that the other day at practice looked really good has some good rapport and then in
32:44case of emergency break the glass on drew lock for these guys as they develop this man in his
32:49freshman year well we're in the middle of a virtual measurement and that's why we have the delay this
32:54is something the nfl is working to perfect well it's far from perfection i'll tell you that that's
33:01why it's a work in progress these things the virtual measurement and it's sort of the line of game
33:06work down there but i want to i want to see the graphic we saw it last week in indianapolis and
33:13we're still not getting it but you know what we could draw a lot to work on it's the pre-season
33:18everybody's i could be better everybody's got stuff to work here we go watch milro under center
33:26fourth and one takes it himself and pushes it across and has the phone there's a fumble at least they're
33:33signaling that with uh some of the defensive players like enig barry hit up almost out
33:39which would be a second turnover by seattle
33:46and yep that's it another turnover cream base defense has forced two turnovers from seattle

39:46he played in three off-season u.s college football all-star games and that's where he caught the eye of

42:11down there they know what they have in sean clifford and they're excited about what could be
42:16with el gurzma so this is where it comes down with roster breakdowns
42:21how do you do this do you go for future upside or do you stick with the guy who's been there
42:26and he's done a solid job for you jacquardia right oh he'll find a burst and there he goes in a foot
42:32race with baldwin down the sideline and knocked out of bounds inside the 10. what a run for a guy that's
42:39trying to be that third running back in a three-man race the rookie free agent from missouri state

43:51and jacquardia right is on the move and kalen milro with the empty backfield will take it himself he'll
44:01get a pulling guard as he breaks one tack on them down he goes nice play kalen king the versatile player
44:09out of penn state made a nice move right there to make the stop no game that's two times i've seen kalen
44:16king now knife pass a blocking lineman to make a tackle to make a play out on the edge does a good
44:22job coming underneath mvs here and just gets the leg of milro to get him to the ground and with the
44:29injured secondary king is getting a lot more reps isn't he king is in there battling with the slow
44:34guys right now at the quarterback position you got hat and you got bill melton you got king you got
44:39cory ballantyne who's just come back so there's a lot of people vying for that spot a good start right now
44:44for killing king milro four man rush he's slippery and he's into the end zone for six a flag has been
44:51thrown a flag back at the 11 six yard touchdown run as of now holding offense number 78
45:06they called that one on mason richmond seventh round draft pick here for seattle reaches out and grabs
