00:18when the regular season gets here he's pretty darn good and we know what jim harbaugh likes to do

00:29got some better weapons for herbert i think if you're if you're kyle shanahan you want to run the
00:35ball 35 40 times do we all know he wants to run it always 30 plus times when when football gets real but
00:43run it 40 times in this game get out of here and you know a little under three hours if you can
00:49and hopefully no injuries guy that's always the biggest thing there's been so many guys that have
00:54missed valuable practice time in training camp now they're all scheduled to either return
00:59or they have returned to practice and be ready for the opener at seattle but biggest ambition
01:05no significant injuries in this game to some of your frontline players

01:51cover that kick so as we wait for land clark's announcement there you see trey lance the former
01:57first rounder third overall in 2021 last year with dallas after the 49ers traded him there for a fourth rounder
02:03and now uh free agent signing with the chargers return holding receiving team number 50 10-yard penalty

02:16so justin herbert the starter off tonight and we'll get a series or two for the former 49er and look
02:22he earned a starting job here i believe in the 22 season i think it was and then came out against
02:29seattle week two and and snapped his ankle on a on a run up the middle just felt horrible for him
02:35buzzard's luck great human being hope he found himself a home with the with the la charge last
02:42regular season touchdown he threw was on this field to devo samuel back january 2nd 2022 that was his rookie
02:49year and then as you said timmy started the next year as the starting quarterback injured week two
02:55which paved the way for garoppolo and then paved the way for brock purdy so on the ground the chargers
03:01begin not many of their starters raheem sanders the rookie from south carolina the undrafted young man
03:07gets the first carry of the night you take a look at the levi's starting lineups sam okuanu and
03:15jordan elliott making a bit of a surprise jordan elliott is is playing and starting this game now both of
03:20those guys have had some nicks in the preseason fired up to see sam okuanu the linebackers both graham
03:26and and surat all three of those guys surat both of those guys will be battling curtis robinson for a
03:31roster spot excited to watch a little bit of renardo green back there very good second year corner
03:37dealing with a hamstring injury and and then both safeties again whoever
03:42plays better i think in this game is going to end up being the starting safety opposite
03:48jason pinnock that's that's how you clog it up and build a wall with your defensive line big alfred
03:53collins in there along with jordan elliott doing good work so it brings up third down and three
04:00great to see renardo green you mentioned three weeks with a hamstring for him so a
04:04man slated to be a starting cornerback for the 49ers on opening day getting some reps here in the final
04:10preseason game 49ers are bringing pressure and trey lance lets it fly as he gets hit and cannot connect
04:20with his intended receiver that's darius davis and so the chargers go three and out and jordan elliott's
04:28fired up yeah well robert solid loves calling blitzes he's never been known as a big blitz caller we could
04:34see more this year but it gets guys one on one both linebackers come that gets the defensive lineman a
04:40one-on-one opportunity and big jordan elliott as i call him the freight train made him pay for it with
04:46a tattoo shot on trey lance and so sky moore who's been a 49er since thursday mid-practice is back to take
04:55this punt and fields it cleanly on a windy day and then gets clipped down after a short return but
05:01we'll see more of him after a 50-yard boot from jk scott tonight that'll be one of the headliners
05:06tonight watching sky moore well no doubt and and i mean i'm having a tough time warming up to him since
05:12he's a kansas city chief for the last few years but happy to have him and he is going to certainly add to
05:18the receiver room and as a punt returner carter bradley got so much better last week against the raiders
05:25and i think we're going to see tonight him play a quarter mordecai play a quarter and rotate like
05:29that but it's going to be great preparation for this offense because this is seattle's defense it's
05:35really a lot of the same concepts i want to see carter bradley just get the ball out of his hand and
05:41operate this offense one of the headlines tonight is the guy that carried the ball there on the
05:45first down play the levi starting lineups for the offense jeff wilson in it but it's isaac
05:51garendo that gets the first carry today along with demarcus robinson robbie chosen out there
05:55as well burford the two rookie guards colby and moss hennessey the backup center gets the start in
06:00austin pleasance at right tackle and back to isaac garendo and it's going to be third down coming up
06:06he gets back to the line of scrimmage but garendo missed some time with a shoulder injury good to see
06:09him back this week in practice yeah no doubt and five yards to carry last year i remember it like
06:14yesterday up in seattle when jordan mason got hurt and garendo came in the game and ran with a purpose
06:21and i know it fired up the head coach kyle shanahan and and from then he just took off
06:26the whole thing i think with isaac garendo here is he is still a young player is get those pads down
06:31when you're going into that traffic in the middle of the field so you don't get waxed sky moore is in on
06:37offense and he is lined up at the bottom of the screen as the charger shows some pressure and bring it
06:42out and bradley gets it out to moore but that is broken up nico reed the rookie from university of
06:47oregon and both teams exchanged three and outs to start the night yeah and bradley the pressure's
06:53coming garendo's able to pick up one of them but not two of them so you're going to get a free player
06:58coming in here on the wrap and you'd love to see gare bradley put that to where only the receiver can
07:03get it and again i know on the grease board it's throw it to the inside he's on that in cut
07:08where that defender is you'd love for him to be able to put it into the
07:11to the outside arm so that sky moore would have a chance to corral it thomas morse that took a great
07:16photo he posted on his instagram last week after the game against the raiders him and the quarterbacks all
07:21putting up a zero with their hands for zero punts for morse that in vegas last week he's happy to
07:26have the night off of sorts so that we held plenty for jake moody a good punt here
07:33carter bradley went limping off hopefully he's okay he and tanner mordecai will be the

07:45for everybody excited for fred and tell you with the roster purge in the offseason and

08:06with that big contract job well done by the front office a little more free time tonight for kyle he's
08:13not calling plays for the third preseason game in a row click kubiak has that honor there's george
08:18kittle speaking to guys that i mean he and he and warner in practice are just if you're going to have one
08:23you need the other one yeah and and george has found the fountain of youth he he is leaner than
08:28he's been but it's still the same weight and his speed is high octane he's as fast as i've ever seen
08:34him here in year number nine after the punt trey lance rolling out on first down with robert beal
08:39right in his face and lance throws and delivers to jalen rager the former first round pick back in 2020
08:4511 yards and a first down yeah and you're gonna see him come across the formation and that's tough
08:53now for seagull the the young rookie because his eyes are watching all the flow go one way and then
08:59the keeper coming back the other against the grain and that's a good play by trey lance with robert
09:04beal in his face delivered a strike to jalen rager evan anderson in the game inside defensively for
09:11the 49ers along with alfred collins good pocket for lance and that is complete again the rager
09:22renardo green after a six yard gain a five yard gain with the tackle
09:28renardo's pick number 64 last year for the 49ers played all 17 games as a rookie started seven of them
09:37and really made an immediate impact for kyle shanahan's defense and that interception
09:41season up in seattle was was huge early in the season he really i think made the whole draft last
09:47year with how he was able to come in and just play sticky tight coverage across the board lance to throw
09:53out of the pistol pocket collapsing and that falls incomplete now it's third down
10:02well you know the other guy to help make that draft last year was malik mustafa who of course is
10:06rehabbing no doubt late season acl mustafa was the the pick the niners got from the cowboys for trey
10:13lance was the pick they used on on malik mustafa yeah and can't wait for him to get back he is going to be a
10:18perfect fit with with robert sala and i think sala is going to end up and i think having renardo green and
10:24and diamador out on the islands being able to play man coverage and tight coverage it's going to allow
10:30solid to be able to blitz a little bit more which is going to really open it up i think for for malik mustafa
10:36lance dancing looking and throws it short incomplete against the four-man pressure from the 49ers and the
10:44chargers must punt again nice job there and he had all day to throw so the pressure wasn't great it's going
10:50to be taxing on those cover guys and dallas flowers is back here and he's on lambert smith and trey lance just
10:58throws this one in the dirt that was not a good throw from trey lance that rookie fifth round pick out
11:03auburn's been pretty darn good this summer for the la chargers teandre lambert smith who's slated to
11:09make this team second punt for jk scott means second opportunity for sky more steps into the sun and
11:18takes it down at the nine yard line and there's just not much room there as he finally gets shoved out
11:23near the 20 a return of eight after a punt that covered 50 yards second 50 yarder for jk scott tonight
11:37it was fun last week to see ricky pierce all get on the field in the preseason in vegas
11:41he had three catches on the 49ers opening drive two of them were for first down yeah and that that one
11:47right there this was the first play of the game just driving him off and running that hitch on eric
11:51stokes but the the first highlight that we saw was really a good illustration guy of what ricky
11:57pierce saw and his development has to be and it's about tempo it's about timing it's about having
12:02chemistry with brock birdie and to put the brakes on right there to read the coverage to give brock
12:07there's old brock star right there um and to break it off and to give a big spotlight for brock
12:13job well done by ricky carter bradley back out and throwing on the run luke farrell could not hang on
12:21and bradley who was limping on the first possession you can see something's bothering him tanner
12:25mordecai is the other quarterback dressed out tonight no brock purdy as you saw in street clothes
12:30getting the night off mac jones who's coming off that a little swipe just sprained knee last week
12:35but he's gonna be okay so deniers brought tanner mordecai back in this week and hopefully carter
12:41bradley's okay yeah gonna play a couple quarters it doesn't look great and they've only got two
12:45quarterbacks suited up for this game pressure picked up by garendo demarcus robinson is gonna
12:53make this second of short a good throw there setting his feet and as i said earlier this is gonna be
13:03really good preparation just gonna run the out cut here just kind of round it off versus that off
13:09coverage and good timing from carter bradley to put it on him to put up this third and short but
13:16this is gonna be great preparation because again it's the michigan defense from mike mcdonald jesse
13:20mentor the d coordinator runs a lot of the same stuff so it's be something they're gonna be looking at
13:25for the next few weeks bradley and that is off the arm of sky moore we'd love to see him catch that
13:32that was a rope bradley's got a big arm on him you wonder how many times has sky more caught a pass from
13:38carter bradley he arrived on thursday in the middle of practice good job in protection good job by carter
13:46bradley just sitting in there and trusting his protection sky more nice route gets a little bit of
13:53enough separation bradley puts that right down the seam and sky more can't hold on
14:02more stead second punt into the wind because it feels like everything is tonight
14:10luke grim gets brought down quickly after a short return and that's the real looter jr
14:19i know you've got your eyes locked in on special teams tonight tim every play on special teams could
14:24affect who makes or doesn't make this roster looks like trey lance is coming back out again
14:32we flash back to the first preseason game for trey lance so much anticipation and it there were some
14:43big moments there were some big smiles including on this big touchdown connection to danny gray
14:49and that's one thing i'll tell you in trade trey lance proved it right away
14:54as the number three overall pick out of north dakota state is he could throw dimes and and drop him in
14:59the bucket on that deep ball as he did in his first game as a 49er four games last year for dallas made a start
15:08third series for him
15:10it's been a punt fest so far and lance throws and that is rager complete for a first down just as
15:16they started the last drive but this is 17 yards biggest play of the night man he can he can rip it
15:22now if he gets his feet set and he's going to throw this in cut just inside of chad surratt and puts it
15:27right on the money and you can see when he sets his feet and lets it go that ball has got some zip on it
15:35naheem miller hines he's in the game and running back
15:39gibson bearing down hit the ball and naheem hines still makes the catch
15:44or at least gibson hit lance and that's why the ball came out sideways
15:49and it's when it's all said that a four yard game and i'll tell you what trevis gibson who has started 11 games in pro
15:54football is doing all he can to earn a roster spot
15:59as he comes from the left defensive end and just comes around the corner and is able to hit trey lance who
16:05as you said completed it anyway for a three or four yard game
16:08now second at seven and it is the running back miller hines getting stood up by seagull and gets hit
16:17forward for the first down
16:22marquee seagull in that battle we've been talking about this for a couple of weeks
16:25with jair brown both starting here tonight
16:31and and let's see you can see when seagull hits you now
16:35he is going to pop you
16:40two high safeties of course
16:43on that down and distance they're going to turn and hand it had the edge up front and able to break the tackle and
16:48and to have the eraser clean it up before it got any bigger steve o clots the tight end in their
16:53playing fullback he leads block on jalen graham and in the end it gets a couple of yards
16:58it's it's hardball so you know there's a fullback or two here's marquee seagull's rookie resume
17:06yeah and you saw what he did at north dakota state he was at can state one year there and was a captain
17:12right away of that football team and unable to do a lot in the offseason since he really got in the mix in
17:18training camp he's been opening eyes everywhere around here with the 49ers very bright future for

17:36they played in dublin ireland wow and iowa state you know brock birdie was locked in on that one this
17:41afternoon you know that you think you got one other place on earth where there's brock birdie fans as
17:51big as they are here in ames i was the place third down big hit churning forward and shy of the line
18:02again it's now fourth down and three nice job by jalen graham who is battling for that six roster spot in
18:09terms of the linebackers you're going to see a double here on jordan elliott and watch jalen graham read it
18:15attack the line of scrimmage and get a short tackle and get a little bit of a knockback got a little bit
18:20of help but forces this fourth down and it looks like the charges are going for
18:31this preseason crowd getting into it a little bit now
18:33well movement up front it looked like the chargers move first let's see
18:44false start offense number 72 five yard penalty still four down so much for the fourth down situation that
18:51both of these coaching staffs love both offense and defense chance to hone your skills on on fourth down
18:58sharp with a false start move it back here comes the punter and that gives us another chance to see sky
19:05more back to receive his third punt jk scott has boom 250 yarders so far tonight sky moore's handled both
19:13cleanly and i say more arrived during practice thursdays that's what happened he arrived during practice
19:20thursday and was coached up a little bit on some routes and even jumped into practice
19:23in red zone it's a good hang time here and he's going to clear out it takes a great chargers
19:37balance down at the four yard line
19:42the punter the MVP so far for the chargers tonight
19:53and scheduled he was not supposed to appear until the second quarter but the 49ers started tonight
20:01carter bradley limping around he was out there throwing with mordecai so unsure if he's still
20:05available but now it's tanner's turn yep and and tanner's been often on the roster this this preseason
20:12they brought in sudfeld for a day or so and his is something i think he hurt his arm in practice so
20:17now he's out they bring mordecai back tanner is a terrific athlete now i'll say this about him guy
20:24he's a very good golfer so look it's not it's not a hard game plan just operate the game plan and limit
20:30those mistakes isaac arendo clipped after a loss signed on thursday was mordecai after he was waived
20:3810 days before that you see naquan jones just with a quick swim this guy's been a player in this league
20:43for a while now and a good one it was in arizona the last time we saw him and he is a big ad i think up front
20:50for the la chargers in year number five so a big guy with nimble feet a little swim move got in the backfield
20:57from his end zone there is robbie chosen who takes a big hit and holds on and that gives the 49ers offense
21:03a little bit of breathing room that's a good job by tanner mordecai he looked outside to sky moore
21:09and then came back inside on time both running stick routes to robbie chosen and i think the thing with
21:16with robbie who's started a lot of games played a lot of pro football for for robbie chosen is they want
21:23to see is he's not just a go route guy and he has still got juice i'm telling you they want to see those
21:28throws and those catches in particular in between the numbers the former robbie anderson flag down
21:34pressure up the middle mordecai escapes and mordecai is able to at least save the 49ers for the moment
21:40from two points to the defense because he avoided the safety but let's check on this penalty
21:52he's got a smile on his face here's land clark excellent referee
21:56it was third down illegal shift offense number five and nine you're not set penalties decline forced out
22:10thomas morstead's coming back out
22:13well here's a corral that poor snap right there from hennessy but you can see the athleticism right
22:19there and getting away from that safety and
22:21and she's big naquan jones bearing down on him just throws it away well it's you know if you're
22:27looking at the scoreboard can could carter bradley have escaped that safety given how he was limping
22:32around point so now here's thomas morstead a tanner morstead tanner thomas morstead not to be
22:40confused with tanner mordecai or was just confused with tanner mordecai good return here setting up for
22:46for naheem miller hines flag down miller hines breaks a tackle and goes down jire brown saves it
22:53at the 15 and we'll check on the flag
22:58now what a story miller hines two years he hasn't played in the game remember he had a severe knee
23:03injury which came while he was sitting on a a water uh oh like a sea dew he got hit
23:11and it's cost him two years of his nfl career and great to see him back during the kick holding
23:18receiving team number 56 a 10 yard penalty from where the kick was caught first down los angeles
23:25it's a 41 yard return nullified and what was going to be a chargers possession starting at the 14 yard line
23:32yeah and and that i mean obviously a good return there by
23:36miller hines used to just be the chime hines by the way when he was in indianapolis and and guy
23:42as you said that's some good years in pro football brand boyer is not going to be doing a lot of scheming
23:48as kyle shanahan has not either not a lot of game planning going on here for these preseason games
23:54there'll be plenty of time for that when it gets real for the game at seattle but i think if you're
23:59your boy you just want to kick guys in in basic situations and evaluate them which guys can you
24:05count on when you're not winning with scheme you're just winning with ability
24:11and both of these guys we already talked about it looter and and flowers battling for that
24:16probably that final corner spot is how well do they play on special teams both of them will be playing gunner
24:22taylor heinecke new quarterback deep shot incomplete the real looter was there in coverage
24:28of kendra lambert smith another flag on the field so heinecke takes over for trey lance we'll see a lot
24:35a lot of dj uyunglele tonight as well qb3 for the chargers

24:58and again daryl looter we just talked about special teams a good job running with lambert smith

26:12jordan elliott sniffed out that screen and it's nearly picked off
26:16by jaylen graham the niners defensive line saw it coming elliott bailed and graham blew it up

26:52as the chargers get some of the yardage back to make it third down and manageable
27:00seventh team for heinecke this is second year with the chargers 28 career starts
27:08yeah and he's been around obviously and bounced around this league and i think jim harbaugh's got
27:12pretty good trust in him as as the backup and he is certainly seasoned
27:17in a long time that was a classic harbaugh play that last one trap trying to trap jordan elliott
27:22and they were able to get it done and find nine yards
27:24in the back shoulder 49ers bring pressure heinecke trying to go to the back shoulder and looter was
27:31there all locked up with the intended receiver to knock it away incomplete that way jackson yeah that
27:39is glove coverage i love what looter did right there just slowing down the momentum
27:44and stiff arm in that right arm in the chuck zone not the jug zone as as you like like to to make fun of
27:50me for but a good job by and just screwing up the timing reduce the space that's how you'll be better
27:57if you're daryl looter that was perfect flipped his eyes got it on the football and forced his fourth down

28:35it's not good by the rookie third round pick nick martin who's gonna have to be a core four special
28:41teams guy i mean you talk about punt punt block kickoff kickoff return so many of those young guys
28:47and those special teamers have got to be core players and be able to excel in on all those units
28:55isaac garendo back in and running back for tanner mordecai garendo gets this first carry
28:59and picks up about four another flag down
29:14holding offense number 61 10-yard penalty replay first down that's matt hennessey
29:21back up center right now and maybe battling for a roster spot depending on if nick zakel can get in
29:32there and play center i i like hennessey he's a former starter with the atlanta falcons
29:37certainly had some injury issues was here last year and he's had a nice training camp you see this
29:42thing on his left elbow he's also been dealing with an elbow injury that he's been playing through
29:47garendo was not the cleanest exchange he gets a couple maybe three four
29:54brings up second down at about 11 12 for the 49ers
30:02now that was just it wasn't good timing by anybody as farrell was trying to sift over and get a block
30:08and looked like he got knocked off his path a little bit by nick zakel
30:16mordecai gets it out quick there's luke farrell and he takes a hit and he's able to hold on it'll
30:23bring up third down and a long five for the 49ers offense well i like what what tanner did there and
30:29just get the five just get the easy one to the tight end sitting in the hole over the middle
30:34and give yourself an opportunity at a at a manageable third down here at third and five
30:40so much against this defense and and we'll talk about it going into week one against seattle you got
30:45to take what the defense gives you they play a lot of different stuff a lot of it's illusion a lot of
30:49split safeties and they are counting on quarterbacks being impatient and serving up a turnover good job there by mordecai
30:59pressure picked up mordecai that is deflected at the line of scrimmage incomplete and we will have
31:06to take a look at the line of scrimmage incomplete and we are eight punt of the game for a side and jesse
31:11mentor the defensive coordinator you know he's going to dial up pressures and the offensive line and the
31:16running back in particular garendo doing a good job by dean what's coming to be able to pick it up and
31:23give mordecai that help unfortunately the ball got batted luke grim is back deep again to receive
31:30another iowa state cyclone product rookie for the chargers and more stead sends this to him
31:41and he muffs it who's on it

33:33i'm glad you mentioned brian robinson and that's unofficial of course but i'll tell you what when
33:38it becomes official i'm really going to like it it's going to unlock a lot of things for this offense
33:43there's luke farrell and he's got a first down with help from demarcus robinson but demarcus
33:48robinson has really played this preseason hard and there's a first down for the niners under a
33:53minute here in the first quarter yeah he has and you're going to see him out get running some
33:58interference just that speed out by farrell makes a nice adjustment spinning around and then puts his
34:03shoulder down able to pick up 10 plus for for another first down but you're right on demarcus robinson
34:10that's the first first down of the game for the 49er offense
34:15back to wilson willis blocking for him and that's about a yard
34:21that could be the last play of this first quarter
34:2549ers won in dramatic fashion the 59 yard field goal from jake moody last week
34:38as you see correndo trying to work that that shoulder out the niners have two running backs already

34:46this preseason well it's been a brutal preseason guy in terms of all the bumps and bruises and
34:51a couple major injuries but a lot of minor injuries that have really forced a lot of the guys to miss
34:57valuable practice time the goats here one quarter done in santa clara
35:03this guy talked about the injuries across the board a lot of wide receiver and certainly a lot
35:18at running back so where the 49ers do they're forced to go out and make a couple of moves and
35:23boy did they sky more will come in and play some receiver and and we've seen him be a punt returner
35:27tonight good job catching it the blocking hasn't been great but the brian robinson pickup
35:32I'm telling you and how it's going to unlock it for christian mccaffrey to move out there in the slot just a tough
35:40hard nose runner what a dime from mordecai demarcus robinson just threw the ball into the 25th row
35:47touchdown 49ers wonder if the fines is big in the preseason is in the regular season that was a
35:54rope from mordecai 22 yard connection to start the second quarter
36:02and and with a wrapper a defensive end coming right in his face the corner route from demarcus
36:07robinson dragging the toe mordecai sets the feet rips it telling you demarcus robinson is is a huge
36:15addition to this receiver core 31 catches for the rams last year but seven touchdowns he is a 10 year
36:22pros pro he is going to be a big help when he gets on the field in the regular season
36:27Jake Moody for the first time the point after is no good why to the left boy the wind down there you
36:36wonder was that a factor here that was not close well usually when moody is off it's it's a pull job
36:45it's going to the left Mordecai the touchdown so six nothing 49ers just coming off the great
36:57Saturday last week for Jake Moody all this set up by the muffed punt
37:06by Luke Graham here was Moody last week
37:08in the final minutes 50 and 59 to win it just to set up I think that was the 50 and then here's the 59
37:26that would add another four or five yards under it too
37:29bomb that one moody has got obviously the skills when he hits the ball it sounds different than any
37:34other kicker that I've seen come through these doors it's just all about confidence from him and for me
37:41when I look at him and in terms of how he deals with it from the neck up
37:46Grant Boyer the special teams coach said this week he was so pleased to see how
37:50booty reacted responded to the miss last week and so may have that opportunity tonight as well
37:57that's the first drive for either team that didn't end in a punt
38:00there's Luke Gifford coming down to make the initial hit after the 23-yard return
38:06there is Brant Boyer and Boyer knows now and he played linebacker for a long time in pro football
38:13and was a very good special teams player and a very good coach they went out and got guys that can play
38:19special teams and Luke Gifford being one of them from the Tennessee Titans who we just saw shine with that tackle
38:25ball straight to the iPad for the surface for Kyle Shanahan the tablet and now Taylor Heinecke second

38:45Tucker Fisk the Stanford product northern California native has come in as well to play some tight end fullback and that is
38:52Robert Beal junior first man in Darrell Luter continues a good night 49ers swarming everywhere
38:59really good job by Robert Beal who is in a roster battle he's got to handle the fullback Matlock who's going to come block him
39:06he wants to hammer that guy but keep outside leverage and then Luter comes up in that run support and does it
39:12absolutely perfectly hitting that outside leg turning everything back in didn't even need the help of Gifford
39:18and Evan Anderson showing up Darrell Luter's having a nice ball game Niners were lined up offsides I think
39:24the announcement was 58 Evan Anderson on the interior of the line it was Anderson so despite the good
39:32defensive effort five yard penalty and replayed down
39:37back to the ground Sebastian Valdez in there with Chaz Surratt
39:42that nice job by Valdez holding up on that double team 49ers D tackles are going to see a lot of those
39:48against this defensive scheme that solid deploys he's in a he's in a battle isn't he absolutely absolutely
39:58short quick and thick just how a lot of D line coaches like him

40:14Heineke and that is bouncing around and deflecting for a first down Arande Gadsden son of Arande Gadsden
40:22had a great year great career at Syracuse left Syracuse as the all-time leader receptions and yards

41:28Trent it seems like and there's always expectations with this franchise you know that you've been here long
41:34enough and usually this team is is playing and reaching up to up to that bar it seems like this
41:39year just because of what happened the offseason maybe the expectations aren't as great i know you
41:44have them for for one another and and i anticipate with the stars on this team and some of these young
41:50guys it's going to end up being a good year yeah for sure um you know i've been around a long time and
41:57preseason expectations uh you know they're really pointless you know they really they really uh kind of work
42:03work against you you know i i just say i go back i look at at the washington commanders nobody would
42:08expect them to be in the nfc championship right in the preseason so um you know we're in that same
42:13position you know obviously we had a down year and uh everybody's down on it that's cool that's kind of
42:18exactly where we want to be honestly you know we love last week we showed the footage pregame of you
42:23and nick bosa getting a good sweat in pregame we don't get to see you guys play in the preseason but
42:29what goes into what do you what is it like you and nick in practice and all the work that
42:34the rest of us don't get to see i mean it's literally um i know it sounds cliche but it's
42:39literally iron sharp and iron i mean it's probably uh the generational talent that i get the pleasure of
42:44going against every day and getting to learn from him uh picking his brain and and vice versa so i mean
42:50we help each other a lot we feed off each other and we definitely make each other better oh and it's a
42:55great battle and you played against really all the great rushers over the last 15 years in pro football
43:01what makes nick so good and and we all you know his skill set and what he does but he is so precise
43:07with his hand eye coordination i remember you telling me last year if you show him the same set twice he's got
43:12you yeah yeah and that's what makes him so hard to go against his processor is so fast um you know he
43:19digests his play so fast you you're set your quarterback drop all of it matters and one one
43:26little thing is often he's planting quarterback in the ground so um he's just one of those things where
43:31he's the definition of pressure but fight you know uh the pressure he put on you during the past set
43:37one little thing goes wrong and it's over with i mean he just he's one of the best when it comes to
43:42that you look at his physique you look at how hard he works i mean he he you know i can go on and
43:46turn it on about him um obviously he's either transcendent talent and just pleasure to work
43:50with him every day and trent you guys are i mean you're a hall of fame player nick will be approaching
43:55that before it's all all said and done what i appreciate and you know you've practiced a lot
44:01this training camp and and nick you could say the same for him but i just love the fact that you guys
44:07are so trusted with your preparation and how you'll be for game day that they allow you your veteran days
44:14off to get in that weight room and stay strong talk about that yeah um you know when you get to
44:18this point in your career i mean i shouldn't have to be police you know i shouldn't have to be told to
44:23go do this and go do that i mean i wake up every day trying to get the most out of myself so i don't
44:28really need a coach pushing me but yeah them trusting us to to take that time off and still
44:34craft and get better you know i mean it's it's just it's obviously it's a testament to what we've done but
44:40you know it's also a testament to our relationship with the coach and how much they trust us
44:45well so many changes debo samuel being gone one of them so the question is is the boom box coming
44:49back out uh we've been we've been running the boom boxes preseason so i'm pretty sure they make an
44:55appearance they already made an appearance right concert right right yeah yeah for sure that thing
45:01came right out i want to ask you about uh we had the the 49er fans haven't been able to see him in the
45:05the first two preseason games but the first round pick out of georgia michael williams oh yeah bright
45:10future for him try and talk about him a little bit to the faithful yeah the guy's a load man uh
45:15definitely you said it you said it best really really bright future um one of those stalwart picks
45:21that john never famous for they did it again um i mean i expect big things out of michael um you
45:27know he he and he also is that hybrid d lineman that we haven't had since you know the forest left
45:34where you can play inside and outside you set the edge and third down you go in and rush with the
45:38best of them so um you know i'm really really happy to see him in game mode trent we appreciate
45:44your time we're looking forward to seeing you on the field yes sir see y'all fellas y'all take care

45:57third down and 13. well there's the other guy they'll be counting on right there big alfred collins
46:03pushing inside and flags this drive has gone both directions
46:11ball start offense number 71 five yards penalty third down
46:21sixth penalty on the chargers so far in this first half
46:25and branson taylor is out there and i know he's played a lot of tackle the rookie six round pick
46:30he's been mostly a guard this preseason got him out of tackle here today
46:36all right let's see if big alfred's got something right here the second round pick out of texas
46:48heineke steps up long throw complete short of the sticks
46:52jacquay jackson second year man from rutgers tell you about alfred collins and look he's still
46:59trying to get his football legs underneath and they're going to end up running a game but
47:02what would you tell him he's got 35 inch arms in terms of his length getting those arms up quicker
47:09i told him i said you're going to find out this league even in long down and distances that ball
47:13the ball is coming out quick use those long arms and get some back downs first look at cameron dicker
47:20who's going to come out and try a fifty two yarder
47:22and that is good plenty of leg for dicker's career longs 59 so chargers are on the board to answer the 49ers touchdown
47:39in a 6-3 game
48:09and first six games for the 49ers open in seattle new orleans back home for the cards and the jags
48:15then thursday night football against the rams and then a trip to take on the buccaneers on cbs
48:22yeah in seattle one and one against seattle last year swept by arizona swept by the rams special teams
48:28certainly played parts and in a couple of those losses to those teams but one up at seattle last year early
48:37remember that dime that brock dropped to brandon iuk over the middle of the field
48:43that'll be a big game 49ers and they haven't had a lot of great luck in
48:47one o'clock starts up in seattle sky moore gets that out to the 36 yard line good return for him
48:55in his 49ers debut 26 on that return and good to see carter bradley who was limping around early come
49:01back into this game he and tanner mordecai were set to split snaps throughout the night
49:07mordecai threw a beautiful touchdown pass to demarcus robinson and now bradley back in
49:12watch how he moves he's setting up to be qb3 for the 49ers
49:17there's mordecai who will come back into this game at some point
49:29garendo good to see him he's back in as well
49:32bradley look in his way and gretel makes a tough catch for a yard now it was a tough snap to handle too for
49:38carter bradley drake nugent out there at center that one looked like it was down on his ankles
49:44snap wasn't great but the protection was pretty darn good after by by nugent
49:56michigan former michigan player and i think three years at stanford before he went to michigan
