Head Coach of the National Football team Dwight Yorke says he will not be swayed by critics who disagree with his selection of players on the national team. T&T is currently getting ready for their CONCACAF World Cup qualifier against Curacao on September 5th. Speaking on a podcast with Andre Errol Baptiste he indicated that criticism comes with the territory and he's prepared to face it as he attempts to qualify T&T for another World Cup.

00:00And I was hired to do a job and that's my job to pick the team. So what we consider external, you shut the noise out externally. And listen, as you said, we're not naive. We understand. We've been there as players.
00:15You know, there's always people have an opinion and whatever you do, there is always someone with an opportunity to say something. And I get that. And, you know, critic is very much part of criticizing someone is very much part of the fabric in this part of the world. And that's nothing new to me. As I said, you know, what we do behind the scene internally is for me is the most important thing.
