00:00The mission was to close off the campaign on a high with a victory over Bermuda at home.
00:05Yet, Dwight-Yor considered TNT's performance against Bermuda their worst under him and took responsibility for it.
00:11But he said his players failed to take heed of his warnings.
00:15I've warned them about complacency and make sure that we, you know, make sure we match Bermuda tonight
00:22because, you know, there's two things in these type of games could happen.
00:27You can have a long night, but you can have an easy night.
00:31And I think we chose the long night tonight.
00:33And, again, although with the warning sign that we told them about it, there were still a lot of mistakes in there that, you know,
00:44which should have been a really high ending to the campaign with the likes of Molino and Marvin coming to the end of their career.
00:54We wanted to give them a really good set-up, and in the end, it was a little bit of a lackluster performance from our end.
01:01After dominating the statistics for yet another match, York didn't sugarcoat the major issue with his squadron.
01:07And even though the percentage, again, shows that we're dominant in 22 shots,
01:12we've got to get that stigma out of our head is, yeah, we're dominating teams,
01:15but if you're not scoring goals, you're not going to win football matches.
01:19And clearly, that's an area that we need to improve on.
01:21And had we improve on that, again, the evidence is clear, you know.
01:25I can go on about stats.
01:27I know it looks good on your CV, but ultimately, it's about winning.
01:31And we need to develop that one killer instinct and a bit more winning mentality in the group.
01:37The glaring issue aside, York believes we have a solid foundation,
01:42but it will take much more if they are to improve.
01:45But I strongly do believe that we've got a new class of players when you think of Cardenas and Adjani and those type of guys to come in.
01:54And with the grandparent act, you know, there is windows for recruitment.
02:01I think the future looks bright, but it's about the preparation and what you do and not 12 months before trying to qualify for the workout,
02:13because it has to be a plan in place and a process of getting there.
02:18York once again confirmed his willingness to continue in the job and left a direct message to his critics.
02:23There is always going to be some people who don't like what you do.
02:28I haven't become successful by listening to negativity.
02:31I've become successful by, you know, you know, believing in what I'm doing.
02:36And once I continue to do that, I'm not really too fussed about players or people or the critics out there that haven't played the game at my level.
