Head Coach Dwight Yorke will be without the services of Kevin Molino and Levi Garcia for their CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifier against Cuba come Friday. Yorke cited two different reasons for their omission from the team but he still believes they have what it takes to come away with a result in foreign territory.

00:00Is this the year that Trinidad and Tobago wins the CONCACAF Gold Cup?
00:05The competition is set to begin on June 14th.
00:08It would be the ideal start for head coach Dwight York to win the competition, but he
00:12admits he has a Cuban hurdle to cross.
00:14Well, I'd be silly to say that we can win the gold cup.
00:20I think we've got to make the first step first and Cuba is in our way and the players know
00:27what is at stake.
00:28York's 26-man team for Cuba is now down to 23 after three players pulled out for different
00:34reasons.
00:35The three players include Jamal Jack who York indicated had visa issues, Kevin Molino who
00:40cited personal reasons and Levi Garcia who is injured.
00:45That's a huge blow as we all know how important Levi is to this team as well.
00:51So that comes as a bit of a blow.
00:54We definitely got information from their side and their doctors or medical people that he
01:02had sustained a slight injury which again we had our medical people check with us and
01:09that seems to be the case.
01:12It leaves York in the position of finding players to fill their spot.
01:15However, he says the team has improved since he took over and he's confident about their
01:19chances against Cuba.
01:21I've always thought about trying to build what the previous managers have done.
01:26I felt over the last three and a half months since I've taken the job that I can see a
01:30significant improvement in players.
01:33They bought into what we are trying to bring to the table as well as what they have learned
01:36over the last few months and hopefully as the game progresses and we come to this really
01:42crucial game because it is an important game and we know what is at stake that I feel very
01:48confident and confident enough that the players understand what we are trying to implement.
01:53York indicated they are hoping to come away with a result in Cuba and finish off the opponents
01:58on home turf.
01:59We know that even though having a good result whether the result go against us we know the
02:04advantage of being at home in the return leg that will play a crucial part of the outcome
02:11of these two games.
02:12The home leg will take place at the Atterbolden Stadium.
02:15York indicated that the H.C.
02:17Crawford Stadium is currently undergoing some changes and hence the match will take place
02:21in Central on March 25.
