Bijnor/Baghpat – Amit Arya (Baghpat) has been missing since July 11 after he went to meet his Instagram friend Jyoti Rajput in Bijnor. Two videos have surfaced showing him being brutally beaten by a woman and a man. He has not been seen since, sparking suspicion of murder and concealment of the body.
One of the accused is reportedly the nephew of a Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader, and all are currently absconding, putting Bijnor Police under pressure.
Police said a missing report was filed on July 13 in Meerut, later converted into a zero FIR and transferred to Chandpur, Bijnor, where the alleged assault took place. A case has been registered (Crime No. 420), and a special team has been formed to trace Amit and arrest the accused.
Authorities claim the case is under serious investigation and the “truth will be revealed soon.”
