Scattered storms continue to rumble through the Southeast

Days of scattered thunderstorms across the Southeast are expected to continue this weekend.

00:00There are large clusters of thunderstorms.

00:02Some of these have been popping into an area down near Sarasota.

00:06Look out for some of these up into Alabama, areas into western Louisiana.

00:11A larger congregation of thunderstorms up into areas near Rising Fawn and other parts of North Georgia,

00:17also southwest of Atlanta.

00:18Look out for some of them near Carrollton, Georgia, for example.

00:21Here we have a severe thunderstorm on our hands.

00:24There's Alabaster, Alabama, Calera, and down near Maplesville.

00:28A severe thunderstorm is on the map just to the north of Maplesville, Alabama right now.

00:32Heading north, here we have Huntsville.

00:34This is Huntsville. Scattered showers there.

00:36But High Top Mountain, not far from the radar site there for northern Alabama.

00:41And then this is the Tennessee-Alabama line and areas west of Jasper.

00:46We're dealing with a severe thunderstorm right over High Top, Alabama,

00:49and also onto the north side of the Tennessee state line.

00:52Temperatures a little cooler in Charleston thanks to some thunderstorms, 79 there.

00:56Look at Dallas. We'll reverse those digits, 97 in Dallas, Texas right now.

01:01More scattered thunderstorms will pop over the next few days into the southeast.

01:04Tomorrow's highs still a little cooler into Virginia Beach.

01:09Scattered storms for many to the east.

01:11You head west, it heats up even more.

01:13Jonesboro and Little Rock, 98 degrees, big time heat.
