00:00In the southeast, that water is awfully warm right now.
00:03We've had a pretty good southward push of a front,
00:06about as far south as you can go this time of the year.
00:09Fronts often kind of meet the graveyard of fronts
00:12across areas between Tennessee and Atlanta.
00:15This one made it a little farther south,
00:17and it squashed the thunderstorm chances all the way down,
00:20basically to I-10.
00:22So we've seen drier air roll back into Atlanta,
00:25and tonight we're going to get down to 72 there.
00:27Look at this, upper 60s in Montgomery, Alabama.
00:29Mid-60s in Charlotte, upper 50s in Roanoke, 65 in Nashville.
00:33Enjoy it almost like a mid-September preview.
00:36There will be some lingering storms from Charleston down through Jacksonville, Florida.
00:40Been a nasty day there in Jacksonville with numerous strong storms,
00:44a few severe thunderstorm warnings in Duval County.
00:46Not the nicest of afternoons there, but we're going to have more storms tomorrow.
00:50You'll notice the area facing thunderstorms becomes more expansive once again.
00:55So everything got squashed south for a day.
00:58Now it's beginning to bleed north again into Wednesday as the front washes out.
01:02Moisture is on the move.
01:03Humidity rises, and scattered storms break out once again.
01:06It'll still be nice in Virginia Beach, but from Charlotte down to Atlanta,
01:09Little Rock, you're back into it for our Wednesday.
01:12As we take a look ahead to future radar and clouds,
01:15you're going to see how, again, we really have had a pretty good push southward.
01:19But watch as we get into the day tomorrow.
01:21It's like the door opens right back up.
01:22Moisture begins to increase by 4 o'clock.
01:25Spotty storms in Boone, North Carolina.
01:27Around South Carolina, we may see a couple of downpours near Atlanta.
01:31Won't be terribly widespread, but you're going to get back into it there in western Tennessee.
01:34Late Wednesday night into early Thursday.
01:36And by Thursday afternoon, we're back into a much more widespread, scattered thunderstorm setup.
01:42In fact, we're not really getting too, we're not splitting hairs here with our Thursday forecast.
01:47We've got a big zone of green on our forecast map, and here it is.
01:51We're just painted in green from Houston to Virginia Beach and from Crossfield, Tennessee,
01:55all the way down to areas around Fort Myers, Florida.
01:59So scattered storms, very numerous on our Thursday forecast.
02:02And Friday, here comes another front.
02:03So we're getting to that time of the year where these fronts are beginning to at least suppress the moisture
02:08at times.
02:09And there's another, like the tide, another push of drier air rolling into Arkansas
02:13and into western Tennessee, western Kentucky, Friday afternoon and evening.
02:17But it's going to take some time to reach the southeast here.
02:19So we're going to have scattered storms in many areas on Friday afternoon.
