Time for the boat engines to roar as we get closer and closer to the 2025 Great Race.

Mobil Outlaw driver Robert Lobo is optimistic that his vessel can reach the finish first in the 80-mile-per-hour class come Saturday.

At the same time, he expects stiff competition out there and is leaving nothing to chance.

00:00Robert, I know you're getting ready for another great race with Outlaw.
00:04First of all, how ready are you for the 80-mile class?
00:08I think this year we've taken the time to kind of tear the boat down a little bit.
00:13We are as prepared as we can be right now, and we're looking forward to it so far.
00:20Whom do you need to be wary of in your class?
00:22Well, this year I think there's four boats, including ourselves,
00:25so there's going to be white teeth, which is, you know, they always get there.
00:29They have been around for a while.
00:31They have Heatwave, who is basically the sister ship to this,
00:36and kind of a little in-shed battle between the two of us,
00:41so that's going to be fun going up the road.
00:44And then there's also Blue Ice, who will also be there come the 16th.
00:50And how confident are you?
00:52We're pretty confident.
00:53I mean, this boat has proven over the years to be a top contender with the previous owners,
00:59and I think this year that we are willing and we're hoping to keep that going, you know.
01:06On a final note, your throttle mind and the chemistry that you guys have.
01:10Well, Justin and I have been racing for a little over four years now in two different boats.
01:17I think we know each other pretty well.
01:19We know our strengths, we know our weaknesses,
01:22and we always have fun when we go out there.
01:25So I think we have a pretty strong team,
01:28and we're waiting for them on the 16th.
01:32Cheers. All the best.
01:33Thanks, man. Cheers.
