Time to hit the seas.

This as Knot In Slow Motion is ready for the T&T Great Race next week.

The vessel races in the 60-mile-per-hour class and throttleman Kern Coltes is confident the vessel can reach the finish this year.

TV6 caught up with the team members while they were working on the boat in Chaguaramas.

00:00It's crunch time as the 2025 TNT great race is just around the corner.
00:05Work continues to take place on vessels in all classes.
00:09That includes not in slow motion which races in the 60 mile per hour class.
00:14Throttleman Kern Coltus is pumped up ahead of the big day.
00:17The 2025 edition going in real happy again.
00:22Keeping up the spirits and this time we will reach Tobago.
00:27After our last little mishaps and stuff which was learning experiences,
00:33we got everything down pack right now.
00:36And the regattors would have given you some confidence going into the great race?
00:40Yes, they did. We had a very good season this year.
00:43Really good. They both surprised everyone and it kept together and no complaints.
00:51The navigator is Niklai Isaac who is making his great race debut.
00:55Whatever the case, he's ready for the seas.
00:58It's a lot of adrenaline. This is my first season, first complete season with the boat.
01:03It's a new experience for me so I'm super excited for the great race next week.
01:08And what sort of training have you done to be doing what you're doing for the great race?
01:13It's just it's on hand training I would say.
01:16So just with my experiences for this season regatta, this is my first great race.
01:23First experience for me.
01:24But Isaac isn't the only new member.
01:26Driver Alex Francis has also joined Norton Slow Motion.
01:30I'm really, really excited. This is my first year driving the boat actually.
01:34Right, in great race. I raced the regattors leading up to it.
01:38I was not suffering and looking for that experience.
01:41And what experience have you had before this?
01:45Before this, before this team none really. I got into it, this is my third year.
01:49Right, fairly new to it and I'm loving it so far.
01:53August 16th is the date of the race from the foreshore to Storby.
