A Claxton Bay family is grieving tonight after the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old father of three and bar operator.

He has been identified as Kimo Narcist, a 37-year-old man from Hilltop, Claxton Bay.

According to relatives, he had been operating a bar and food hut along West Soledad Road for several months.

00:00The incident unfolded late Sunday night outside his business place with relatives saying that they believe that chemo was deliberately targeted and killed, but they do not know why.
00:10His mother, speaking with TV6 News Today, recalls that he had told her just days ago that his life had been threatened.
00:16She says he didn't tell her who threatened him or why. However, chemo took this latest threat very seriously and stayed home until last Friday.
00:45He only returned to work when he realized his absence was affecting business at the bar.
00:51Under caution from his mother, he begrudgingly returned as he said he had a family to take care of.
00:56This time, my kid was really serious because he stayed away.
01:00Because his sister really called him and told him not to go nowhere.
01:04Yeah, you turn on them, you know, come back home. Go to work, come back home.
01:08According to reports, around 11.30 p.m. on Sunday, a vehicle stopped in front of the bar.
01:13An unidentified man exited and shot the victim while he was standing in the kitchen area of the food hut.
01:19The shooter escaped in the same vehicle.
01:22Chemo was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital in a private car where he was pronounced dead at around 12.03 a.m. today.
01:30An extended magazine was found tucked in the side of his pants during medical checks.
01:35Crime scene investigators recovered four spent 9mm shell casings from the scene.
