A 40-year-old Williamsville father of one was shot dead, while he waited for transportation to get to work on Tuesday morning.

00:06According to relatives, Alan Samaru of Esmeralda Branch Road in Williamsville walked out to the junction near his home, as he normally did every morning.
00:15There, while he waited on a ride from his employer to go to a ceiling installation job in Mayaro, a gunman who was hiding in the bushes exited and fired one shot to Samaru's head.
00:26Samaru died at the scene, but relatives speaking off camera to reporters say they believe his death could have been prevented.
00:56Alan was shot.
00:58Samaru's wife described him as honest and good and someone who didn't get into trouble and said she wants to know why anyone would want him dead.
01:08However, she does not believe the investigating police officers will solve his murder.
01:14Then the other young person, just like myself, went through them, they're going to never get justice, why I think I go get justice.
