Transcript
00:00Jelani Ned has chosen Team Drive A Sport. He has placed his front foot on the pedal and stands tall in his belief that he can rival the best in the world. He previously raced with Arima Wheelers and he has developed a track record of success.
00:15I have the junior record for the flying 200 meter. This year I was the national sprint champion, carrying champion. I got a silver, two silvers in junior Panam 2024 in Peru.
00:35He will be taking part in the sprint and carrying at the upcoming Speed Paradise and Carnival of Speed events. He will be up against some tough competition, some of whom he has great respect for. However, on the track, he will need to believe that he can surpass the likes of Kwesi Brown, Nicholas Paul and Jessane Philippe.
00:52They left a high benchmark and my goal is to come close or surpass the times that they have done in the past.
01:03So what is he hoping to improve?
01:05I'm looking most forward to riding with more experienced people. People who will be decent but faster. I want to see what they will do and learn tactics from many different people from all over the world.
01:24He is in transition from secondary school to tertiary education and he wants to put his focus on information technology.
01:30For now, he is hoping to download some speed in preparation for Speed Paradise.
