00:10they are now hoping to also clinch the T20 title.
00:14Red Force Divas cricketer Brittany Cooper is the captain at Powergen and carries the
00:18title of player coach.
00:20She says sound leadership is what has taken Powergen this far.
00:24Even if you look when I wasn't here for the rest of the tournament, I went out to regional
00:29and it was skippered by Jenny.
00:33The girls stepped up and they did their part and it showed us why we have the upper hand
00:38against the other team because we have a lot of young players who are leaders on the team.
00:43Having won two of their T20 matches this season, Powergen are hoping to go all the way.
00:49Their next assignment is against UWE Women's Cricket team on Sunday in St. Augustine.
00:53I know it's going to be a great, excellent game.
00:57We have all our players back, they have all their players back, both our players just
01:01came back from regional and our informant says it's going to be a really, really exciting
01:05game.
01:06It's going to most likely be a game that's going to decide who top first and second in
01:11the group.
01:12Jessica Orozco is a leg spinner on the team.
01:15She says the chemistry between the players and coaching staff is second to none.
01:20We had a few new players this year and they instantly, you know, everybody just gelled
01:25together and everybody just feels welcome which is why I think most people want to come
01:30and play for Powergen.
01:32So definitely as a team we have that chemistry and bond which is why we win because on that
01:37field we are family and even off the field we are the same way.
01:40The former Naprima Girls High School student wants to pursue dentistry but what are her
01:44goals as a cricketer?
01:46This is my last year with the U19 national team so I'm trying to try to get on the senior
01:52team for the last few years I was reserved and you know I'm just trying my best to let
01:56my performances speak and get there.
01:59Powergen also won the 50-over title last year but were runners-up in the T20 format.
