00:01It's no secret that many in Trinidad and Tobago love cricket.
00:05Some even say it's part of their DNA,
00:07especially as the West Indies were a force to be reckoned with in the past.
00:11With the Republic Bank CPL having started,
00:13the Trinidad leg runs from August 26th to September 2nd
00:17with all matches at the Queen's Park Oval.
00:19So how do the fans feel about that?
00:21All the cricket matches at the Queen's Park Oval, are you pleased with that?
00:25Well, it's surprising because we heard from before
00:28that it was going to be shared between both North and South.
00:32It being totally here, maybe it might be good for North,
00:37didn't have it for quite some time, so maybe it might be better.
00:41We'll see how it goes.
00:43And you personally?
00:44I would have liked to have seen it between both areas.
00:46Well, being from Central, it would be easy to go both sides.
00:51But either way, for the good support of cricket,
00:54we will all be out here to support our CPL teams.
00:57I wanted to get your take on the CPL being hosted at the Queen's Park Oval
01:01and not shared by both venues in North and South.
01:05Okay, well, I like it here because of the fact,
01:08the congestion of the traffic to get to Brian Lara.
01:12If there are some way that they could eliminate that
01:16in getting to the games pretty much on time,
01:20as opposed to all that delay because of the traffic,
01:23I welcome both venues.
01:25But the fact that, you know, you can get to the Oval here
01:28and still get better parking, even if it's outside,
01:31and get home quickly, I welcome it here.
01:35So maybe they should look into the parking situation at the Brian Lara.
01:39All the CPL matches are the Queen's Park Oval, none in Taruba.
01:43Do you like it this way or you prefer a mixture?
01:46I'm good again. I thought that a mixture would have been better,
01:49you know, due to the distance, you know, for South people.
01:54Yeah, the parking up here, it holds more people here in the Oval here.
02:01But I thought that a mixture would have been better due to, you know, the distance.
02:05Some could have taken place down South and a mixture of the Oval and South.
02:10No, I was actually overjoyed when I heard that the matches are at the Oval
02:13because, for me, the Oval is home.
02:15I've been coming here since I was a child,
02:17so I love the Oval as opposed to Brian Lara.
02:19So sorry.
02:20Cheers.
02:21CPL is just around the corner.
02:23All games are the Queen's Park Oval.
02:24Are you satisfied?
02:26Well, yes, I'm satisfied that the games are the iconic Queen's Park Oval.
02:31I mean, this is the ground that we grew up watching cricket on
02:34and I'm quite pleased that it's back here at the Queen's Park Oval.
02:39From a logistical point of view, we remember the last CPL there was a lot of traffic jams
02:45and issues that were surrounding the venue down at Lara.
02:51So once I could work out that in the future, we could always have some games there
02:55and some games here.
02:56But for the present state, I am satisfied that it's been here at the Queen's Park Oval.
03:03All matches were in Teruba in 2025 and now the Oval in 2026.
03:08Will it ever be shared between the two venues again?
03:11Time will tell.
03:12Vinod now on YouTube.
