Queen's Park all-rounder Akeal Hosein is not taking any of the teams for granted going into tournament, which starts after Carnival.

Hosein would like to help his side lift the title, but first they have to get past their group, which includes defending champs Central Sports.

00:00Queen's Park's cricketers have been training assiduously for the TTCB T20
00:04festival which gets underway on March 6th. Their first match is against
00:08central-based side Presal. At the moment all teams are on a break from the two
00:13day premier competition with four rounds having been completed. Also training with
00:18the Parkites is Akhil Hossain who isn't taking any of the other teams lightly.
00:22I think we're putting in the work we're not gonna take anything for granted you
00:27know a lot of the guys have been playing on the same team with you know
00:32different guys in terms of lesser tournaments so they kind of understand
00:37you know what they're coming up against and they don't fear anyone so we put in
00:41any work as you can see right now just gearing up for the first game. And what
00:46does the 31-year-old West Indies whiteboard cricketer want to achieve
00:49personally in the T20 tournament? For me just I always try to keep it simple and
00:54you know do whatever the team requires but with that being said you'd obviously
00:58like to perform as well being a senior player coming back you'd obviously like
01:02to perform in with the bat and ball so that would definitely be my goal to try
01:06and perform as best as possible and you know hopefully help my team to get back
01:11that T20 title. Captain in QPCC is Darren Bravo with David Furlong coaching
01:16the side. According to Furlong QPCC's win on first innings in the recent two
01:21day match against defending champs Central Sports is a boost going into
01:25the T20 festival. I think what was mainly important is our second innings you know
01:29we have been batting well in the last few games but our second innings against
01:34Central Sports there you know we got it right you know scoring 300 odd you know
01:38for the loss of four wickets you know with three batsmen getting one batsman
01:42getting a hundred and two others getting fifties so you know that was our main
01:46concern so it's good to see the batsmen back in form so I think it all goes well
01:51for us going forward to the T20 tournament. While results do matter Furlong made it
01:56clear in the past that discipline is most important as such both coach and
02:00captain have been doing their part to make sure everything is hunky-dory.
02:04The chemistry is good now you know we now getting it together you know even as a club
02:10with all the other teams you know we had a little discipline problem with some of
02:14the players but you know we've sorted that out you know so that you know
02:17everybody now is in the same place and you know they understand you know what
02:21what we expect what we look for Darren and myself so that everybody now you know is
02:26gelling well together and you know everybody's happy you know I think
02:32because I think the important thing once the players are happy then the team will
02:35perform well. Besides Preysal also in the same group with QPCC or defending
02:39champs Central Sports, Marching Patriots and Yorkshire.
