00:00Defending champions, Central Sports have made a solid start to the 2025 TTCB
00:05Premier One season with wins against Prisons, Victoria and Preysal. One person
00:10who is extremely pleased with the display is club owner Richard Ramkisson.
00:13Well we want to thank God for giving us an excellent start. You know I mean three
00:16out of three is we could not say anything better. You know I think we had
00:1975 points, leading the second place team by 20 points. That put us in a very good
00:25position. We have six more games. We are looking to maybe garner our next hundred
00:32points in our six more games and that should take us to the title. But I mean
00:35to defend, we are the defending champions and I think the way we started has sent a
00:40signal to the rest of the teams. You know the defending champions are here to
00:43defend. You know they're here to play and they are very strong and they want to
00:47defend this title. The team is now preparing for the next round against
00:50QPCC with the game taking place at the Invaders Recreation Ground in
00:54Philistie. So the question is, is home advantage going to help the leaders? Yes
00:59I mean when you look at the Queen's Park Oval, I mean I was up there this week
01:03and you know the pitches are very green. So they always prepare their
01:07pitches to suit their team and the same thing like other teams. You know I
01:11mean here we have a nice pitch that will suit everybody but I think it will give
01:16us a better advantage to play better cricket and you know I think we could
01:22maybe really put QPCC under pressure at Invaders Recreation Ground. Also with
01:28Central Sports is new member Jeremiah Cruikshank. I know you started off with a
01:32half century in game one against Prisons which on your side won of course you
01:35have three wins. How are you enjoying the season and what are some of the goals
01:40that you have? Well it's actually my first season here at Central Sports. I
01:45used to play for QPCC in the past and it's been pretty good so far. When the
01:51manager called me he was like it's a family down here, it's a really nice
01:54environment and I enjoy it and they just won the league last year so I was like
01:58it's a no-brainer come down and it's been it's been really good so far. Having
02:02been a Parkite, Cruikshank has a good relationship with current teammate
02:05Mikel Guevara who was with Queen's Park in the past. I've actually known Mikel since
02:10primary school so yeah so he's a good friend of mine so we're both looking
02:15forward to the game this weekend. Last year Central Sports won the Red Bull
02:18format and the T20 version but lost the 50-over final to miss out on the treble.
