00:04awaits the official confirmation, he extended his heartfelt congratulations to
00:10Joshua Reguelo on behalf of the government and people of Trinidad and
00:13Tobago on successfully completing his attempt to set the Guinness World Record
00:18for playing the steel pan for an astonishing 30 hours and surpassing his
00:23goal to reach 31 hours. The Prime Minister said Mr. Reguelo's dedication,
00:28perseverance and passion for our national instrument have been and
00:33continue to be truly inspiring and that the steel panist has created history and
00:38more so has been able to unite the country and the diaspora during this
00:43holiday season. Dr. Raleigh said Mr. Reguelo has filled a nation with pride.
00:50Acting Attorney General and Energy Minister Stuart Young offered his
00:54sincerest congratulations to Joshua Reguelo on Facebook. The acting AG said
00:59Mr. Reguelo united the country and people both near and far and has
01:04elevated the national instrument whilst displaying remarkable perseverance,
01:08tenacity, character and patriotism. Congratulations were also extended to
01:13Joshua Reguelo from the opposition via Facebook post from the UNC's candidate
01:18for San Fernando West in the upcoming general election, Dr. Michael R. Dowlath
01:23former principal of Naparima College. The UNC candidate described Mr.
01:28Reguelo's pursuit of a world record as a remarkable endeavor. Dr. Dowlath also
01:33said that as a proud alumnus of Naparima College, Mr. Reguelo's dedication and
01:39passion for music embodied the excellence and determination fostered at
01:43the school. Dr. Dowlath wished Mr. Reguelo the best of luck on this
01:48incredible journey. Congratulations were also extended to Mr. Reguelo on Facebook
01:52by the National Transformation Alliance led by former Police Commissioner Guy
01:56Griffith. Progressive Empowerment Party political leader Philip Alexander in a
