While some are calling for the failed bill to return to the Parliament others remain unbothered by the issue; even one police officer has his say. More in this Elizabeth Williams report.

00:00And with the Attorney General expressing his disappointment with the Tobago
00:05autonomy bills being defeated in the Parliament, we wanted to find out from
00:09you members of the public your feelings on the Tobago autonomy issue.
00:14I think that we should have, I think it's time for us to have some form of
00:19autonomy. I know autonomy is different from secession so I think the public
00:25just needs to be aware of what's the difference and what comes along with
00:28autonomy. But the time is ripe and the time is now, so I think that we should
00:33make every effort to bring it back before Parliament and try to get it.
00:37We want to control our own thing here, that's what we're looking at.
00:43What are your feelings on the Tobago autonomy issue?
00:46Well I cannot say anything much about it because I'm not into whatever is going on here.
00:53So you think more autonomy is needed?
00:55Yes, plenty.
00:57Were you disappointed when the bills did not pass in Parliament?
01:01I didn't really get to hear the bills you know.
