00:00The Angostura Foundation has donated a big check towards a worthy cause.
00:06It is with great pride that I stand before you today to announce Angostura Foundation's donation of $534,000 to the Credo Foundation for Justice, a home for young girls and boys at risk.
00:22This contribution reflects the Angostura Foundation's deep commitment to supporting the youth of our nation and ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to thrive.
00:32Donation comes from the proceeds of Angostura's 200th anniversary celebration and exclusive charity auction.
00:40The exclusive charity event saw several people digging deep into their pockets for the opportunity to walk away with items worth bragging about.
00:50But one attendee dug the deepest.
00:53I attended a competitive pop-up auction held by Angostura Limited and stood as a successful bidder in the acquisition of the exclusive, highly sought-after Kaspari rum produced by Angostura Limited and a one-of-a-kind painting.
01:11Siyonarine Kusal says although he won some of the auction items, his focus was using the opportunity to help others.
01:20Director for the Credo Foundation for Justice, Sister Juliet Raja, is extremely happy for that help.
01:27It was like a gift from heaven when I got the call and I heard that Angostura was doing the auction and we were the beneficiaries.
01:38I am speechless as to what to say in terms of this donation because we would not have been able to continue for much longer.
01:49Kandi Hill, TV6 News.
