The police says all is in place to ensure law and order on Election Day.
The top cop told TV6's Elizabeth Williams...security has been ramped up.

00:00Acting Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin is urging the public to act responsibly and respect the law on election day.
00:08He says the police service will do everything in its power to maintain order and ensure compliance.
00:15We are encouraging persons in Trinidad and especially Tobago as well that all parties should conduct themselves in such a way that we ensure the integrity of the process.
00:26And therefore the TTPS is taking a new nonsense approach in dealing with all matters.
00:32Benjamin is also reminding citizens that police officers will be deployed in full force across both islands.
00:39He advises anyone who feels their rights are being violated to contact the police immediately.
00:46The acting commissioner stressed that the police service remains impartial, committed to protecting all citizens regardless of political affiliation.
00:55The police is there to ensure that the rule of law is really upheld and we expect that Tobago, who is known, I mean Tobago is known for peaceful election process.
01:10I know that they will not disappoint and we expect at the end of the day after the elections that we have to live in harmony and the TTPS is here to ensure safety and security for all.
