00:00Well with just over two days to go before the start of the Paris Olympics, Trinidad and Tobago's
00:05athletes are putting in their final preparations for the tournament. National shot putter Porteous
00:10Warren who is attending her second Olympics says the team will need all the backing they can get.
00:15She's therefore urging the public to support their dreams of becoming Olympic medalist.
00:20I'm really grateful for the opportunity to be out here representing the red,
00:25white and black and I really look forward to you guys support for me and the rest of my teammates.
00:30I will go there and put our best foot forward to represent the red, white and black and do
00:35everything to the best of our ability. This has really been a kind of like a full circle moment
00:39for me. Warren added that she has put in the work and is pleased to be able to represent the country
00:45at the highest stage of sport. I wouldn't say I never thought I would have been here because I've
00:51always had set high expectations for myself, high goals and for as long as I remember I always told
00:57myself I'm going to be an Olympian and now today I can call myself a two-time Olympian and it shows
01:05that I have stayed true to myself and what it is I wanted to accomplish
01:09and really put in the work that's needed to get me here and get me out in Paris or everything
01:15that I've done so far and I'm really grateful to continuously get the opportunity to come out here
01:21and show everyone what I'm made of and I look forward to kind of like taking you guys along
01:26the journey leading up to my qualification rounds and fingers crossed finals on the ninth as well.
