00:00 I am seeking justice for my son. I believe I will get justice for my son
00:05 and somebody has to be because as I said before it's not a sickness, illness or
00:12 disease killing. It's gross negligence. It's the last words these parents
00:20 expected to hear. Come into the hospital immediately your baby is dying.
00:26 On the 31st of January I was here I went in to see him he was good. They told me to
00:35 leave the room because one of his IV lines were leaking and I had to repair.
00:40 When I left the room two of the senior doctors came out and told me that he
00:45 choked on his feed and flatlined. His heart had stopped, his respiratory had
00:51 stopped and they had to give him some medication basically to bring him back
00:55 to life. That could have occurred around 3 to 4 o'clock on the 31st
01:03 evening time and by the morning of the first 3 o'clock 3 a.m. on the first we
01:10 got a call that our baby is dead. Coming he's dying slowly. It's a series of
01:15 events they find impossible to accept for more than the obvious reason. Every
01:21 day I made sure to speak to the doctors to see where he was. They would tell me
01:24 respiratory wise he's fine, heart wise he's fine, neurologically he's fine. He's
01:30 fine, he's fine, he's fine, he's fine until eventually he died. He choked on his feed
01:35 and died. Gross negligence, gross negligence. How long my baby had to be
01:42 there choking. Nobody saw him. They saw his machine he had attached to him that had
01:49 flatline and that is what caused but if it's an intensive care unit somebody has
01:54 to be watching the babies. But they say there were previous signs that all was
01:59 not well at the NICU after their baby suffered a severe IV burn which they
02:04 claim no one bothered to inform them or senior hospital staff about. The staff
02:10 was really trying to hide that burn because from my investigation certain
02:16 officials was not aware of it. They was not aware of it. Why did why why have to
02:27 just extend that I had to make certain phone calls, emails to get something
02:32 right done. The parents are still awaiting medical records requested
02:36 since in that incident. Now with the death of their son they say they are not
02:41 leaving anything to chance. So because I lost my trust in them I am not leaving
02:48 them to carry out the autopsy on their own. So I have a private pathologist
02:55 that will be coming in when they are ready to do the autopsy to look on and
02:59 to make sure everything is done well because we are seeing now that his dead
03:05 stories are changing, stories are changing. Following that process the
03:10 parents will be initiating legal action. My son Ethan Elijah Jaikaran did not die
03:17 for anything and just like he fought to live I have to fight for justice for him.
03:22 I have to. I don't care how long it takes as long as there's breath in my lungs as
03:29 long as there's breath in my lungs I have to fight for my son and I'm going
03:36 to fight for my son because he can't die for anything. Change must come from this.
