Residents of Charlotteville, Tobago, are in mourning following the tragic death of a three-month-old baby boy whose lifeless body was discovered at his home just one day before Mother's Day. Elizabeth Williams has more in this latest report.

00:00Reports indicate that the heartbreaking incident occurred around 11.20 a.m. last Saturday when the child's mother reportedly discovered
00:09the infant lying motionless on a couch inside the family's home.
00:14Realizing something was wrong the distraught mother said she immediately alerted the child's grandmother and emergency authorities were contacted. Police
00:24officers responded to the scene shortly afterwards and commenced initial inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the infant's death.
00:33The District Medical Office of Health also visited the residents. An autopsy conducted on Wednesday by pathologist Dr. Hubert Daisley
00:42determined that the infant died as a result of asphyxiation.
00:48Investigators including the Homicide Bureau are trying to ascertain the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
