A mother and her six-year-old daughter had to be rescued after the car they were in ran off a precipice along San Fernando Hill on Tuesday afternoon.

00:00A mother and her six-year-old daughter had to be rescued after the car they were in ran off a precipice along San Fernando Hill this afternoon.
00:08According to reports, the gold-coloured Tida, driven by the mother, went off a 200-foot edge into some bushes near the Haji Shafiq Rahman Park around 4.10 p.m.
00:20When the fire officers attached to the Monropo fire station arrived on the scene,
00:24they were quickly able to retrieve the child, who had bruises to her face, feet, and complained about pain to her right arm.
00:31TV6 News was told about an hour later, the mother was successfully pulled from the wreckage and brought up the precipice on a stretcher by the rescue team.
00:40Also on site was leader of the hunter search and rescue team, Valance Rambarat, who praised the work of the fire officers,
00:47saying they did an excellent job in rescuing the victims in a timely manner.
00:51The victims, he says, while obviously traumatised, only showed signs of minor bruising.
00:57Both mother and child were taken to hospital for medical attention.
