00:00Every game matters. Every situation matters. Go out and win some games.
00:04I have the utmost in Todd Munkin. I have the utmost trust in Todd Munkin
00:10that there's no gamesmanship here. No, no. This dude's just trying to win games.
00:14That's all. That's all. Listen, I wanted to go down the road. I thought about it,
00:17and there was no logical conclusion I could get to that makes it make sense
00:21where the Browns would be doing this to go ahead and audition and display Shador
00:24because the league right now needs quarterbacks in a couple of different spots.
00:26It just doesn't make sense when you actually unwind it and figure it all out.
00:31Now, we talked a lot about bulletin board material last week.
00:34Jared Verse, Mason McCormick, Denzel Ward had some things to say.
00:39This week, I don't know that this is going to qualify,
00:41but it's something that Keith and I were talking about
00:43because Keith actually brought this video to my attention,
00:46and this was when Shador, today in media availability,
00:49when we've included the question here, was asked about the Saints defense.
00:53Have you had a chance to study the Saints defense yet a little bit,
00:56and what are you seeing so far?
00:59Yeah, I've seen a lot.
01:01When I smile, just know that means something.
01:07I'm maturing, you know what I'm saying? I'm maturing.
01:09I could have gave that a decent answer,
01:11but now I'm just going to smile whenever it's just like some questions, you know.
01:17It is my experience that when you have to add the modifier, I'm maturing.
01:22You're not maturing?
01:23It's not always the greatest sign.
01:25Not going in the right direction there?
01:26Yeah, can't you see how mature I'm being usually infers a little bit of immaturity.
01:31I really needed Shador just to be normal in this moment,
01:33and it was not a normal moment for him.
01:36It wasn't normal, and when I first saw it, I thought to myself,
01:39okay, he's smiling because there's something in the Saints defense that he sees
01:43that he thinks he can light up.
01:45Nobody else really took it that way, though.
01:47Yeah.
01:47It felt like everyone else was taking it to some sort of, I don't know,
01:50some sort of opportunity against Mary Kay was one area that people were taking it online.
01:54Oh, no.
01:54I thought the same thing you did.
01:56I thought he was kind of, oh, I'm confident,
01:59maybe a little cocky about going against his defense.
02:01That's what I took it.
02:02That's the only way I saw it, but online it felt like,
02:05and again, you tell me what Keith was telling you because I don't know.
02:08Keith felt the same way.
02:09He gave them basically bulletin board material.
02:12But I saw from some of my Shador people, they were wondering if that was like a way
02:15of almost going after Mary Kay in some sort of interesting little roundabout thing,
02:19but I couldn't connect those dots.
02:20We need the Shador people to get out a little bit.
02:23I couldn't connect those dots.
02:24I didn't know how that an innocent question against Mary Kay turned into some sort of
02:27referendum on Mary Kay.
02:28Guys, big, big rooting for Shador on Sunday.
02:31Well, I got the ultimate Shador honked next to me here.
02:34That sounded loaded.
02:36I meant it in like a positive way.
02:37Like we are about as pro-Shador as you can get in this town.
02:42Take a walk, right?
02:43Like get some fresh air here.
02:45Touch some grass for a little bit.
02:46The idea like this is, it's a little Pepe Sylvia for me.
02:50No, I thought it was a, I thought it was a, I know something about this Saints defense.
02:54And I know they suck.
02:55Is that the answer?
02:56I know they're not good at football and that's all I need to know.
02:58Yeah.
02:59Here's the thing.
03:00That fair.
03:01Have you seen your offense?
03:03Like my concern about.
03:05Oh, and wouldn't Shador's response to that be, yeah, the offense without me in there,
03:08right?
03:08Yeah.
03:08I mean, I would, I would point to your offensive line.
03:11And the reason why I point to that is the one part about the Saints defense that might
03:15scare me is they have no problem dialing up blitzes.
03:18They are either top.
03:19I think they're top seven in blitz percentage this year.
03:23Uh, I can look that up.
03:24We can find that out.
03:25I know their pressure rate is 26th in the NFL that I do know.
03:28Uh, so like their pressure rate is not particularly high though.
03:31Yeah, but they're throwing a lot of bodies at it and we have a bleepy offensive line right
03:34now.
03:34So maybe it looks better when it comes out in the wash.
03:36Uh, but, but like, I, okay, good.
03:38So I'm glad you took it the way I did.
03:39It felt like Shador had watched some of the tape already, gotten himself ready to go.
03:43And then was starting to feel a little excited.
03:44The same way when we talked about in the first segment about this being a missed opportunity
03:47for Deshaun.
03:48Like, yeah, Shador should be looking at this as this is one of the better games for him
03:52to make his debut this season with the Browns.
03:55If he gets that opportunity to do so.
03:56Yes.
03:57But you can just give, because I think what he was trying to do today in his press conference,
04:01which was weird on multiple fronts.
04:03It was weird and it was kind of goofy.
04:06And I think some of the problem that people around the NFL has with Shador is what they
04:10perceive to be his goofiness.
04:12All right.
04:13I don't really care about it.
04:14I think he's a good hearted kid.
04:16And I've really enjoyed watching him, uh, any of the chances I've seen him do any of
04:21the stuff he's done when we've been around in Berea.
04:23So let me just say that, but I can understand that people outside of people who haven't seen
04:29that from him get annoyed at the goofy stuff.
04:31Right.
04:32But the reason why it does matter is in the same way that Jared verse saying, we're going
04:36to dominate going into the Pittsburgh game.
04:39Why that came back to boomerang on Monday was he had a bad game.
04:43If Jared verse, even if they had lost, but if Jared verse had had three sacks in that
04:47game on Sunday, you could have at least fallen back on, well, he did his part.
04:52They just lost the game.
04:54When you come out and do the, well, I'm not going to tell you I'm mature.
05:00When you do that, I need you to play well, Shador.
05:04I think he knows that.
05:05Because if you don't play well and you say you have this goofy answer, people will call
05:09back to it next week.
05:10Well, and people will say, well, what exactly did you see?
05:12What was that smirk for?
05:13And then you might get mocked that way, the way that he tends to get mocked in basically
05:16whatever he does anyway.
05:17By the way, you were right.
05:18As far as the blitz rate, they are 10th in the NFL.
05:21They're blitzing 34% of opposing dropbacks in 2026.
05:25Now, again, they're not effective when doing so.
05:2726 in the NFL in pressure rate.
05:29So they blitz about one every three snaps, but they don't get home often and they don't
05:32really put much pressure.
05:33That might change when you have a really bad offensive line the way the Browns have right
05:37now, though.
05:37And I have such a lack of confidence in the Browns offensive line after last week, which again,
05:42we talk about like the peaks and valleys that, you know, a week ago is probably feeling not
05:48as good because again, the middle of the interior struggled against Jeffrey Simmons.
05:51Who wouldn't?
05:52The guy's fantastic.
05:53But I am definitely on my, my, I'm at my ebb on my trust of this offensive line.
06:00So when you read that stat, I'm like, they haven't seen this offensive line yet.
06:05And we, I just, they're like, it feels like this is a real problem right now.
06:10And one thing I've, I've gone to, in the detractions I have against Shador, one thing I've continuously
06:15pointed out the entire stretch is his time to throw isn't quick enough.
06:18He's got to get rid of the football.
06:20And so even against a bad Saints team, he still has to get rid of the football and he's got
06:23it.
06:24He's going to have to do it pretty quickly.
06:25The only downside to Shador potentially starting on Sunday, good or bad.
06:32Yeah.
06:32Is what I was seeing in the 92 through the fan YouTube chat during the break.
06:36What's that?
06:37You don't like Shador.
06:39No, I don't like Shador.
06:41No, we love Shador.
06:42You hate it.
06:43The people wanting to quibble over who does and doesn't like Shador, just speak for
06:48yourself, man.
06:49Like it is okay.
06:50They're calling out other people in the chat for their like of Shador or dislike?
06:52A little bit me saying that I, because I called him goofy.
06:56He had a goofy answer.
06:57That was a goofy answer.
06:57He is occasionally goofy.
06:59He's occasionally goofy.
07:00That's the thing that I think Shador fans get wrong.
07:03It was an objectively weird answer, guys.
07:05By the way, not a Shador critique.
07:06It is a critique of, of what I, what I would describe is outlandish support for, for causes.
07:15I feel like Taylor Swift fans are this way.
07:17That's another thing that I can kind of point to that is similar as it's like, you can be
07:21a fan of something and still question it.
07:24Like you can be a fan of someone and still think, I don't love that.
07:29And if you can't, then I don't know you're so much as a fan is a sycophant.
07:35Sure.
07:35I do like that.
07:37I guess that felt very good.
07:38I'm glad that felt, I'm glad that felt good for you.
07:41Uh, the, I just, I'm just happy we're going to get rich this week.
07:46How so?
07:46Well, Shador is back in the conversation and we just make a bunch of money off of Shador.
07:49So I mean, should I order some Lululemon?
07:52Tell Elise the credit card's going crazy this week.
07:55It's going to be awesome.
07:56Should I hit Lima up for his Lululemon connection?
07:59Oh, it looks like our kids are going to have great Christmases.
08:01This is like, it came at a perfect time, didn't it?
