A simple flip phone that your family can manage from their own phone. 📞👵
HMD has unveiled the Nokia 2360 Flip, a 2G flip phone designed mainly for seniors, with parental controls for children too. It was first reported on October 29, 2026 (The Gadgeteer), with GSMArena covering it on October 30.
What HMD says the phone does:
• Family Assist: a free app (Google Play and App Store) lets a family member set up and manage the phone remotely, adding contacts, setting reminders, adjusting the volume and configuring SOS. It works over SMS, so no data plan is needed on the flip phone (standard SMS rates may apply on the managing phone).
• SOS button: hold it for three seconds and it calls a pre-set number and texts up to five emergency contacts. HMD notes it is not a substitute for public emergency services.
• Kids mode: School Mode, whitelist-only calls and SMS, and app blocking, set with a Family PIN.
• Specs: 2.8-inch main screen, 1.77-inch external screen for caller ID, removable 1,450mAh battery, loudspeaker. Colours: Charcoal, Burgundy Red and Teal.
The catch: it is 2G only, so it will not work where 2G networks have been switched off, and HMD has not announced pricing or availability yet.
