Every 14 seconds, another AI accelerator goes into Amazon's cloud. That is the pace Amazon CEO Andy Jassy described on the company's Q3 2026 earnings call. ⏱️☁️
What Amazon reported on October 29, 2026 (third quarter, ended September 30):
• AWS segment sales rose 39% year over year to $46.0 billion, according to Amazon's results release.
• AWS operating income was $17.8 billion, up from $11.4 billion a year earlier (Amazon).
• Amazon still expects 2026 cash capital expenditures of about $220 billion (Amazon).
• Free cash flow for the trailing twelve months was an outflow of $42.4 billion, which Amazon says was driven mainly by higher spending on property and equipment for artificial intelligence. A year earlier it was an inflow of $14.8 billion.
