00:30well fevere coming back for more though very tight going into that left-hander how did fevere avoid the
00:36rear wheel of the belgian ahead of him and the belgians where is lukas kunin he's in 13th place
00:41so they put evarts possibly in the favored gate position i would imagine we'll probably see
00:47that from a replay of the start but hurlings in no mood hanging around he's also found his way past
00:51roman fevere as he moves into that third place
01:01i wonder what fevere's mindset is yes he wants to hold himself accountable go out with a race win
01:05just like he did but he also knows that france can't win this and does he not want to get
01:10involved
01:10in the battles with the other contenders maybe i don't know i doubt he's having that kind of mindset
01:15but how heavy that turn is at the bottom of the hill now inside or outside there are the options
01:19well i think we're getting our answer here look fevere going straight after
01:23jeffrey hurlings yeah i kind of wondered how much urgency jeffrey would show here he's all season
01:28long though he's been really kind of straight to the front he hasn't really been that patient very
01:32often but prado is a different animal also right so he he kind of needs to get there and not
01:37allow
01:37prado to build a gap well jeffrey hurlings if he wants to go after jorge prado for a potential
01:41race win to show who is the best 450 rider in the world he can't afford roman fevere to go
01:45back by
01:46because that will definitely scupper his chances liam evitz there in second third is hurlings fourth
01:51on the jump now over on that far side almost out the front door clip the top of that dragon's
01:57back
01:57roman fevere and these top four riders here prado evitz hurlings and fevere pushing an insane pace
02:03on this opening lap yeah that was big for hurlings to get a little bit of a gap because if

02:07for about seven turns in a row he had to ride defensively to block where fevere was so now he

02:11actually ride the lines he chooses to ride now he's got liam evitz right there ahead of him

03:02inside and pressure william going into that right maybe dive inside him there and just just rush it a
03:06tiny bit where is garcia garcia is the rider we need to keep an eye on because he is in
03:1113th place
03:12at the moment and it will correct as we hit the line this time around there is lucas kun and
03:19the
03:19second of the belgian riders he is up to seventh place a big race this for belgium and for spain
03:26there's cooper webb the number six he's in the american he's in fifth position ahead of tom vial
03:31vial number nine for france
03:35i mean webb has vial kunan and hurlings all over him at the moment and goes defensive in that inside
03:41there and vial couldn't find his way by again defensive here for webb and you see the difference
03:46that's in drive the outside gives you and vial goes past and cuts across to the right hand side
03:53webb read it well and he goes the long way around here he still believes there's a pass on but
03:58look at
03:58the urgency the intensity of vial it's actually a really nice counter by webb there didn't have the
04:03line but shows you where his head is as far as fighting forward
04:07so hurlings just behind kunan that's these two bottom of your screen here
04:12your race leader over on the inside on that right hand turn just to their right and here comes
04:16webb again yeah webb's not going to be thrilled with vial kind of moving across on him a couple
04:21times hurlings has found his way past lucas kunan he moves up a position he moves into seventh place
04:26a little untidy there for the belgium coming out of that turn
04:32it's still a one-point game at the moment between spain and belgium belgium lead the way on 24 when
04:37they throw away their worst score spain on 25 they are on pursuit on course for their podium but
04:43they are so close they want the overall victory coming in as pre-event favorites alongside france
04:48yeah yeah and you just wonder how how aware will they be these teams be of the math belgium spain
04:55seem to be the two now battling for the win
04:58hurlings cuts to the inside here looking for a way past cooper webb who out drags him heading up that
05:04start up that hill there but then hurlings fights back immediately
05:10and he takes webb on the line there as he moves up in the sixth and webb down to seventh
05:16he now goes
05:16after vial but it's clever who's the fastest on track in third about a second behind evans a slight
05:22bobble there a nervous look over the shoulder because he wasn't sure whether webb was left or right of him
05:28yeah webb just dodging the roost most of it too just trying to stay out of the way so he

05:32actually see where he's going
05:37cooper webb brand new bike he looks good on it you're right you know this he's so little experience
05:45with the bike this situation his last season of pro motocross i mean honestly he looks aggressive
05:50he looks five years younger am i saying that right prado is only 1.8 seconds clear of evans i
05:57thought
05:57he checked out a moment ago uh jorge prado he would have liked to anyway look at webb harassing
06:05the dutchman here jeffrey hurlings these two turning back the clock what 2016 charlotte mx2 grand
06:10free final round of the championship anybody hurlings won the first race and then uh won the championship
06:15and webb beat him in the second race to win the gp i mean this is this is apropos for
06:19hurlings this is
06:20i mean this is a crazy good ride for webb he hasn't shown this much fight outside of iron man
06:25all season
06:25long wow commitment to the outside there helped by a couple of mistakes but neither hurlings vial or webb
06:31were clean through that whole section but it was hurlings who came out singing and smelling the roses
06:35because he's found his way past vial as he moves into fifth place oh he's untidy through there
06:41this is how hard he's pushing he wants to win this race he's on the edge on the edge absolutely
06:45we've not seen that from him in a while he hasn't really had to be he's been so much better
06:49than
06:50everybody but it shows you what it means to try to go chase down prado i don't know if that's
06:54realistic or not but in his mind it still is three riders they're heading up the hill look lucas
06:59coonan cooper webb he wanted vial back vial cut across him twice on straightaways i knew that did not
07:08do well with webb and he finds his way finally he did make it make the pad stick up the
07:13hill but
07:13this is good fighting spirit this from cooper webb isn't it you know proper captain's performance
07:18he was six in race one he's wants to be the proper team performer here where's his teammate julian
07:24boomer he's in 15 uh 15th position at the moment on his red bull ktm a very last minute addition
07:31to the squad webb going after lucas coonan oh he just landed heavily got force forward there at the
07:38belgium on the number 10 at the top of the hill there drone getting a little too close there to
07:43roman febvre as he goes after evans this is the second position here belgium versus france it's
07:49important that they've kept prado inside here you know i think prado would have loved to have
07:52pulled away here it's going to make the second half of his race much more difficult as these two
07:56absolutely go at it never tried to get at the inside but it wasn't to be ever still hanging
08:01on there belgium still leaning they've got a three-point gap at the moment over spain as it
08:05stands right now because garcia is still in that 13th place
08:10yeah we talked about the pressure that garcia would feel in this race he has got to move forward
08:1513th respectable yes but you look ahead of him could he get a guy like ben watson jed beaten
08:21past that it gets really challenging well here comes febvre goes outside looks to
08:27get alongside i thought he was going to maybe try and jump across the left there and set up this
08:31move here but he's done that anyway but he can't make that pass stick they've reworked the track
08:37there but it's not an advantageous line at the moment that outside still working well and you
08:41notice the inside now doesn't float to the outside it kind of bends back upon itself so the outside is
08:46much safer now than it has been all day look at that crowd listen to that noise look at the
08:50urgency
08:51of everts as he fights to win the peter chamberlain trophy for belgium alongside his teammate lucas
08:57coonan who is in six he's got his hands full here with the frenchman roman febvre france cannot win
09:02it but febvre can still put in a performance he does not want to send the french home disappointed
09:07the fans that is febvre looks spicy here oh spicy he's definitely up for it i know that there's prado
09:17not disappearing how far is herlings is 11 seconds behind the leader at the moment
09:23febvre around the outside he moves in the second takes a point away from belgium and a position
09:30brings up another point closer to spain which is not what they want it'll be 23 plays 24 in a
09:38moment
09:39as they hit the intermediate sector belgium still leading by a point
09:44herlings really needs this battle to shape up here and slow themselves down it doesn't have to be
09:49drastic but if they could take a second or two a lap off of each other that would allow herlings
09:54to
09:54possibly fight you see him look over you see him look to his right there he wants to know exactly
09:58where
09:58that battle is exactly and we are still 20 minutes plus two laps into this race he has time in

10:04pocket and we know how strong he is at the end of the race this is yan panza live on

10:09slovenian here saw a track marker in the middle of the track not sure if vegan was out there or
10:13what that was no he was in a spider-man suit yesterday
10:19anyway this is yan panza 10 jp 253 hurlings another mistake on the exit the back end just
10:25hopping out to the left-hand side there on the exit of that turn but he has clear as day
10:32daylight now
10:33seven seconds to make up to evans and he's going to go to work he can't afford any more mistakes
10:38if he
10:38wants to go one one here at the nations yeah it's interesting to hear him talk about he wasn't
10:44talking about netherlands being in the fight or anything he wanted to get with these guys at the front
10:52that's prado there's fevere this is uh deja vu to race one three years ago between these two
10:58all weekend this year too all weekend this year
11:03but prado led didn't he in uh 2023 fevere found his way by it was about a second or so
11:11in it by the time
11:12they hit the line they went at it in the uh qualifying race they've been at it in the first
11:17race
11:18there's been these two that have risen jeffi hurlings wants in on the act as well but he's
11:22still ten and a half seconds down on the battle for the lead which is right here between jorge prado
11:28on the red bull ktm and the kawasaki racing team mxgp machine of the number seven roman fevere
11:35fevere victorious in race one he wants to go away with the mxgp class win if it stays like this
11:41prado
11:41wins the mxgp overall
11:45just looking at evarts and hurlings evarts will hurlings will still take the the class win which
11:53will equal the six class wins that evarts liam evarts his dad has stefan evarts of course
11:59but he wants to do it with the one one well he's got some tough company here
12:03because he's still languishing nine and a half if you're enjoying the racing make sure you hit

12:32french mechanics trying to understand actually what actually happened there just gets off to the
12:36right high sides right into the tough block and that's a water post there which is why it's uh padded
12:43out unfortunate but he did get out of control at that moment now he's got to rejoin the racetrack
12:49and hurlings moves into third pants the fourth fevere from second to fifth
12:56this is actually really good news for jeffrey because i think that will allow prado to
13:00check up a little bit he's not going to be as pushed and then jeffrey's pace can increase
13:03and make it make it easier to get to the front so after six laps and jorge prado now with
13:09a 3.9
13:10second advantage over liam evarts that's the daylight that evarts need that that prado needed at this
13:15stage of the race hurlings another five and a half seconds further back 9.4 off of prado
13:20and lucas kunin just here behind roman fevere in sixth position fevere in fifth place
13:26panzer in fourth for slovenia and again belgium still lead by a point 22 for belgium spain on 23 when
13:34you throw away the worst results from both teams the netherlands are third with 36 and vial is out of
13:39the race he knew there was no point carrying on anyway but uh he wasn't too badly placed was he
13:45in
13:46this one but obviously just maybe the injuries or just the occasion or the what are we fighting for
13:51kind of thing we're not going to be first or second or third and so uh he's just gone back
13:56to have a word with himself we didn't sound very confident like even though he said he's fine
14:01you could just tell the undertone that there wasn't a lot of a lot left in him for today
14:05so not that surprising to see him out of this race right fevere now going to work on jan panzer
14:12these two 14 and 15 seconds down on the leader jorge prado who's now four seconds clear of evarts
14:19but uh evarts good response look 51 for hurlings with the fast wow have you seen the lap time
14:24prado that time around 151 483 evarts 150.772 hurlings 147.9 he's 2.9 down on evarts and he's
14:34only six and a half down on prado do not write him off well also thinking about the big picture
14:40here yes
14:40garcia could move forward but if he didn't this could come down to whether hurlings gets to the
14:46front and knocks prado down a spot or not because they right now they are one point out yeah could
14:50all change it is on a knife set here doesn't matter what roman fevere does here he will not be
14:58interfering with anything of course unless he goes down or makes a mistake runs wide he's only one and a
15:03half seconds clear of lucas kunin and kunin gains a point to distance themselves by another point over
15:08spain there he is that's how close he is the belgian
15:14pit boards are crucial the messaging that they give to their riders at this stage of the race
15:18because they know they're in the fight and that's all they need to know in the fight
15:2327 jonas and that's going to hand uh usa fourth at the moment but uh they're what 14 points off
15:31of the
15:31podium team usa but you know what everybody talked to they say they didn't give them a chance coming
15:36in here fourth place is a pretty respectable result all things considered uh it's much better than i
15:41thought i i had them somewhere between five and seven but i have to give so much credit to the
15:46effort
15:47that cooper webb has put in today not it's not a shock this guy has stepped up every time for
15:52team
15:52usa but this is a ride i didn't know that he had in him at this stage here comes jeffi
15:56hurlings downy
15:57inside he will get this right oh i'll tell you what evarts again he likes that outside line
16:02but what a lap jeffrey hurlings has had he was the fastest rider on track last time around 147.9
16:07he's going to be the fastest rider on track this time around as well with a 149.5 to compare
16:13to the
16:1351.2 and 51.8 of prado and evarts 4.2 4.8 seconds separate the first three riders i
16:21haven't seen
16:21jeffrey push like this in a very long time i don't think he had to i mean maybe the battles
16:26with lucas
16:27maybe going back to like wakapelle this is he is on the edge he wants to beat prado that's all
16:32it
16:33is this is all about this is about him and prado he goes past evarts he moves into second there's
16:37daylight now between him and prado and a potential race win he said after the race he was looking
16:42forward to this race the big guns and he wants to win it prado is not going to make it
16:47easy well
16:47he's not been in this position where jeffrey over that when he won his world championships yes he won
16:52his championship jeffrey wasn't nowhere near fit but he still won his two mxgp world titles you've got
16:56to fit hurlings that fit prado and they're going to go toe to toe and i think we're going to
17:00see
17:01for the first time prado realize how good this kid is well even at 153 years old well you know
17:07prado
17:08love him or not he will beat you and then tell you about how he beat you and how he's
17:12better than you
17:13that doesn't sit well with these guys often and a guy like jeffrey doesn't want to hear that that
17:17is where all this emotionally emotional riding comes from here's the gate drop then
17:23we know hurlings was over on the right hand side gates there he was the front end pouring at the
17:27air so he uh was relying on the uh hole shot device there but it was pepper who got around
17:32the outside
17:33of prado there was evitz in there as well so too ben watson on the 48 to the inside watson
17:38still in
17:38that 10th place just behind jed beaton there's pepper through the middle as we suspected and it
17:43almost worked for him jeffrey just wheelied a tiny bit and that gave prado the edge
17:50here is roman fevre 11 seconds down on evitz already thinking about what could have been if
17:56vial if valance didn't have their problems and of course if he hadn't hit that tough block when he
18:02was closing in on evitz for second on this part of the racetrack when he demolished that tough block
18:06yeah i mean it's something about this race the patriotism it's they these guys push harder at
18:12this race than they do even in world championship events uh you know i think it's a one-day event
18:17right so they're not thinking about preserving points or anything moving forward but there is a
18:21different effort put out here a moment ago we were talking about if coonan could find his way past
18:25fevre and pull a point back for belgium we haven't considered actually webb finding his way past lucas
18:30coonan to take a point away from belgium and give a point back to spain because that is a possibility
18:35here because this guy hasn't raced uh in a long time because of his injuries i just didn't think
18:40it was possible for webb to move forward from where he was but this moto has been a revelation
18:44for cooper webb and and yes panthers still back there yes there's a lot of racing left to go but
18:49i have not seen cooper webb ride this well in a very long time in motocross well the 15 there
18:54the uh open class rider for the slovenians just pulling aside
19:03you know what webb is turning back the clock here he looks like mx2 cooper webb this is 2015
19:07era webb right i and maybe that's exaggeration but i'm just telling you i've watched cooper webb
19:13race for a very long time and it's not but you can just see that supercross was where his heart
19:18was where his motivation was he's all in he's all in right now this is everything he's got and he's
19:22been all in right from the start of the year hasn't he like i want the shot of the nations
19:26he knows
19:26if he's going to be fine like you know he's finished his outdoor season career okay he's
19:31only on a supercross only deal next year from what i understand of what he said you don't get
19:36opportunities like this if you're only racing supercross because you're not doing the outdoor
19:39season you're not going to get up to fitness or speed meanwhile it is game on 2.6 seconds it
19:46was a
19:46moment ago this is the gap now as we run down to the line at the end of lap 10
19:49a 51-2 a 50.8 a lap
19:52ago it's a 54-1 and hurlings goes through a 52-2 and we're down to 2.6 seconds everybody
19:58hanging
19:59over the fence red bull ktms porgo prado honda hrc patronus jeffrey hurlings prado may have just
20:07even though yeah okay he's being caught here i was going to say he's stepping it up a little bit
20:10but so too is jeffrey hurlings i think jeff oh i see a mistake there but i think jeffrey thinking
20:16about how this plays out he got to a place where he could see him now and you can kind
20:20of take a
20:20breath regroup a little bit because the hardest work has been done you've got back to him now
20:25you can actually think about how do i attack him so it doesn't shock me to see him have a
20:30little bit
20:30of a wall here before he goes in for for the charge when you think of uh how the final
20:36couple of races
20:36in the u.s you know um played out in america and how good prado was and now you see
20:42prado run wide he
20:44makes a mistake and you see the intensity and the urgency of jeffrey hurlings where would you have
20:48stacked him up if he did a full outdoor season riding at this intensity jeffrey hurlings yeah
20:53at the front any any race on this planet i put him at the front this form yeah i i
21:00can't think of
21:00anyone that would beat him i mean hunter warrants was fantastic this summer but i hold jeffrey hurlings
21:06in an incredibly high regard when he's on form and he is on form right now and he's all over
21:11the back
21:12of jorge prado yes there's a little bit of traffic here they don't know whether to look left right or
21:15straight forward fortunately prado gets up the inside of the first one that's trey cox to the
21:21outside hurlings finds his way through as well he's a bite length behind the spaniard belgium are still
21:29leading the nation's classification by two points it'll be three if hurlings does them a favor and
21:33finds his way past prado here and he may do it towards the end of the lap oh he gives
21:39him a bit of a love
21:39tap can't find his way through taylor hamill there of gb wonders what on earth it's just
21:46rocked up on his rear wheel what a race we have had here oh he tried to cut that was
21:54smart by prado
21:54prado knew he was waiting for it and hurlings goes tight again yeah these two these two are not
22:03buddies this is uh this is about more than just a race win watch this here a moment ago prado
22:13knew
22:13that it was coming he just parked himself there he's probably done that move himself a few times
22:18smart riding from both riders hurlings knew that it was possibly coming as well yeah and you know
22:22prados he's he's run up front his entire life incredible one of the best starters in the history
22:26of the sport so he knows better than most how to ride defensively he knows where the passes are likely
22:32149 foxhole shots i think in his mx2 mxgp career in europe sounds like a lot he likes that outside
22:37line but it's the shortest route that's quickest and i think if hurlings is quicker closer a lap from
22:42now if he's not already found his way past that might be his uh up the sleeve kind of pass
22:48calling
22:48card he's kind of been in just full attack full attack mode i think maybe if he thinks about where
22:53can i make a pass on prado and approach it a little bit more calmly like who am i to
22:58tell jeffrey
22:59hurlings how to do this but right now it's just full attack mode i don't know if if he doesn't
23:04make
23:04it in the next couple laps i think a plan may be the the best approach prado has to go
23:08inside here
23:08and defend hurlings has the freedom to move around the racetrack a little bit more prado has the uh
23:15radar on and hurlings stuffs down the inside prado gets out of it these two of history from germany
23:22remember all those years ago around the outside hurlings gets the power down and uh riding to
23:28defend hurlings is not going to have any of it he launches up the inside god brave riding that from
23:33prado he kept his nerve he held it but hurlings goes around the outside i don't had enough of that
23:41prado is just like you know what you want it that much i don't know if we're going to win
23:45this thing
23:45he'll be on the podium but all of a sudden hurlings has just pulled the pin and said i'm not
23:53looking
23:53back lap 12 hurlings go through yeah prado realized he was probably about to be on the ground if that
23:59continued talk about bully boy tactics wow what a performance the problem is and he's been down well
24:08and the problem is he needs that spot they sit three down you who you know like obviously he didn't
24:13want to relent relinquish that spot but they need it desperately if they want to win this motocross
24:18the nations well if it stays like this with uh jeffi hurlings leading the way and prado there in
24:23second and evitz in third kunan in fifth belgium are going to be taking the chamberlain trophy back to
24:33belgium for the first time since 2013. where is garcia he has only moved one position all race from 13th
24:42to 12th
24:43and this was always the thing we said this if it's close between let's say france and spain the two
24:48favorites coming in this was the scenario that we were looking at where you had potentially roman
24:53fever and uh tom vial as the big hitters because garcia would be the unknown on a 450 against the
24:59uh
24:59sort of uh the weight of prado if you like yeah and it's easy for to sit here and say
25:05well he needs
25:05to get watson he needs to get beaten well you've got the the mx1 australian champion and beaten and you've
25:11got
25:11one of the best british riders in ben watson it's not an easy feat for garcia to go up and
25:16pass those guys but if they want to win the motocross the nations that's simply what it's
25:20going to take well this has been absolutely mesmerizing from jeffrey hurlings he launches
25:24downhill 13 laps complete for the honda hrc patronus rider from the netherlands he doesn't just want to
25:31win this race he wants to obliterate everybody and he's up the pace but so too has uh jorge prado
25:38because
25:39he does not want a riding lesson from the man in orange there at all
25:45so he's going to try and up his game and try and apply the pressure because he doesn't want to
25:49hiding 30 seconds in the first race that he putting on everybody else jeffrey hurlings
25:53prado doesn't want to be part of that step yeah and prado tried to answer a little bit here i
25:56just
25:57don't know how sustainable that is i think jeffrey kind of weighed up a bit as we see adamo that's
26:02looks like he uh took a tumble there yeah well it came up on the lap time a minute ago
26:06that uh a minute
26:06and 18 so he's obviously cut the course somewhere just to get back to pit lane very very quickly
26:12so uh italy then at a contention of a podium jeffrey starts to stretch it out we see fevere still
26:19circulating in fourth there yeah roman fevere it's been a tough day at the office for the french
26:28but uh riding with his heart on his sleeve as always roman fevere at this event he was nice and
26:33happy and smiley and relaxed even sipping tea in pit lane afterwards well how many times have we
26:39seen it go in the french's favor over the past decade or so and this this year it just everything
26:44went the wrong way for them think about those races like majora there were so many opportunities where
26:50you had no idea who was going to win and the french were able to find a way luck typically
26:55evens itself
26:56out reverts to the mean a bit and it really felt like that today well coming into this weekend of
27:01course and it's not done yet of course we've got still two and a half minutes or thereabouts
27:05still to run in this race but uh the usa had 23 victories that is the most in the history
27:11of this
27:12event since 1947 team gp with a massive run but then nothing for 27 years and then nothing in the
27:19last 32
27:20years gb on 16 belgium with 15 they will equal great britain's tally if they take home the chamberlain
27:27trophy today they will do that for the 16th time they will go second joint in that trophy table
27:40australia of course the defending champions they're going to be looking at night overall
27:45here this weekend with jet beaten alex larwood aaron tanti
27:51and belgium the last time they won it toy chantal germany back in 2013
27:59commander south jeremy van horby kender dyker can liam everts sasha kunan lucas kunan write their own
28:08little piece of history here by standing on the top step of the podium people were giving him an
28:15outside chance but not much of a chance because of the we weren't sure on the fitness of lucas kunan
28:21this was the story of hurlings and prado hurlings knew he had to be decisive here he did he got
28:27up the
28:27inside prado read it well he went for broke and launched downhill with a little seat bounce hurlings got up
28:33the
28:33inside again here thought he'd got the job done prado muscled him again that's incredible defense i
