And veteran Afy Fletcher spoke on what has to be done to secure the victory while acknowledging her recent personal milestone.
Transcript
00:00The Westernese women have produced a Jekyll and Hyde performance in the first two ODI matches, scoring a massive total
00:06of 299 to win the opening match, but followed that up with a paltry 139 in defeat.
00:12And while veteran spinner Afi Fletcher focused on the batting, she's confident they can get it done.
00:17I think that we had some failures in the department, especially with the batting, but, you know, we can't dwell
00:27on that.
00:28You know, we just have to refocus, revisit where the mistakes happen.
00:33And, you know, it's important. It's an important game tomorrow and it's an important game for some points also for
00:39the qualifiers.
00:40So I think that we just need to be focused and be ready and be prepared and be in the
00:47right frame of mind, you know, to accommodate and compete as we always do and, you know, to give a
00:54good performance and, you know, believe in ourselves and our ability and our skills and trust the process.
01:00The 39-year-old has 237 career wickets in both formats and touched on a milestone of being the first
01:07Grenadian to reach 100 ODI matches.
01:10I must say it's really an honour and a huge accomplishment. I never expected it, but to achieve that, to
01:21be the first Grenadian, I'm always proud representing my country and also an honour representing the Caribbean way in the
01:30maroon colours.
01:31And she shared what she's learned during her 18-year career representing Grenada and the West Indies.
01:37Through the journey, you know, you learn to be humble and respect the game, you learn, you learn, you learn,
01:47you're meeting your friends, you learn culture, you know, you learn to be disciplined, work hard and also put trust
01:55in the Mossai for, you know, giving you this longevity in the journey.
02:00And I must say thanks to the support of everyone around you to make the journey possible.
