00:00A bit of a mixed picture across the UK this weekend, whilst tomorrow's going to be, well, largely fine with
00:06high-pressure building.
00:07Before that, well, it's a different story. There's low pressure to the north of us, there's a front making its
00:13way south and southeastwards.
00:14All of this brings some blustery weather and some rain as well.
00:18Starting off the day with cloud and rain across central parts, but as that front edges southwards,
00:23that rain's mainly going to be lingering across parts of the southwest, maybe south Wales as well,
00:27with a bit pushing into parts of the southeast.
00:30Across northern areas, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the far north of England, a fair few showers to watch out for,
00:36some of them heavy, some of them thundery, and then in between, a zone of drier, brighter weather this afternoon.
00:41Still relatively warm across parts of the southeast, low 20s here, a bit fresher than this across the north,
00:46and with the strong winds here, it's going to feel a fair bit fresher as well.
00:51Overnight, we continue with the showers across many parts of Scotland, some for northern England and northern Ireland as well.
00:57Elsewhere, further south, the cloud and the rain in the far south does edge away, but it takes quite a
01:03while to do so,
01:03so through the early hours of the morning, it could stay quite cloudy and damp across parts of the far
01:08southeast.
01:08And then in between, yes, some drier, clearer weather.
01:11Still quite humid in the far south and quite warm still, but elsewhere we have slightly fresher air that's coming
01:17in,
01:17so temperatures widely just about staying in double digits in the towns and cities, but rural spots getting into single
01:23figures.
01:24Then we start the day tomorrow on a bit of a showery note across northern areas.
01:28Quite quickly in the far southeast, we see that cloud and rain clearing away,
01:32and also the showers in the north, they clear away as that high pressure builds in,
01:36and that's going to help settle our weather down.
01:38So yes, for many of us, Sunday definitely looks like the drier day of the weekend,
01:42with some decent sunshine on offer, but as that fresher air becomes a bit more widespread,
01:47temperatures, if anything, are going to be a little bit lower for most.
01:50However, as we go into next week, well, southern areas are still going to be heavily under the influence of
01:55high pressure,
01:56so staying fine here, and we're going to drag in some warmer air,
01:59so temperatures, well, they could get to the mid-20s Celsius.
02:03Further north, it's a different story, it's a bit wetter here,
02:05with some rain toppling over the north of that high pressure towards the south.
